On July 2nd's America's Birthday (Declaration of Independence) event, I mentioned that the Declaration of Independence wording that documents King George's abuses against the Colonies could be applied to DT and the current Republican Party.

Now there's an article about this vary issue: It’s self-evident — the Declaration documents a long train of Trump abuses

One of the long term predictions we'd seen was a new Continental Congress emerging in this country where the people separate from the U.S. Government.  I hope it doesn't come to that. I hope it's just a re-vamping of our current government that becomes necessary once the progressives truly take back the country.  But it's interesting how it's looking so much like the days of the American Revolution. I am certain at this time however that it will not be a violent revolution.

One prediction someone made at least two years back was that in the late twenty's, the repair of Congress would go long and deep. It would require a new Congress, with new rules.  For starters I'd like to see  term limits and no lifetime benefits or ability of Congress to raise their own salaries or provide for themselves benefits they don't provide for the whole country.  Congressional service should be just that -- service.
