I keep tropical fish, lots of tanks. Very peaceful. People could learn from them!
Polar berry I’m intrigued!  Want to know more.   ?Â
My Roku has a fake fish tank screen saver. There are days were I just keep that on my TV. Very soothing. I don't have the patience to care for real fish...
lol, definitely easier, Laura F.
Jeanne, I have a specialty goldfish tank. I keep my golds separate from my tropicals as they are coldwater fish and have different temp and tank decor requirements. I have a huge tank with nothing but Glofish. I don't use special lighting because the Glofish look absolutely beautiful in a tank with natural rock and a mixture of realistic silk plants and live ones. I hate all the fake painted fish decor.
Then I have four foot-long catfish (in a different tank), and a huge rainbowfish tank with peaceful loaches and smaller catfish and snails. And a Betta which lives in a nice six gallon, which is the smallest size tank they should ever be in.
Â
Things are so stressful right now, that I thought I'd re-post this wonderful song & dance video that Jeanne posted back in December. The first is Jeanne's video, the second is another dance interpretation of the same song. Time to be uplifted!

Saw this pleasant little animated video today which sums up nicely how to deal with negative thoughts that keep you awake at night. Helps you have nice dreams too. Â :-)

Unk p,
I must say you come up with come up with come up with come up with the most eclectic if not down right exceptionally unusual things!
But then I just stubbed a toe not one but 3 times, after stumbing like a crazed robot after falling asleep with a cup of coffee in my hands that soaked through 8 future layers of laundry and so I can only imagine how I'll be walking down the aisles in the grocery store singing today.....
However, that powerful vibratory almost electric voice of Yola's hit all the right notes I needed.
Stay in the light and have a great Doris kind of whatever happens in this weirdly dark and potentially challenged filled month of our very weird full moon day after day after day after day.

Someone I follow posted this song on the Summer Solstice. Â Spirit of the Plants
Lovely.
I've always loved Queen/Freddie Mercury. This uplifted me -- I especially love the final tune of his performance, "We are the Champions." I've been singing it to myself all morning.

@unk-p, I love the Mercury/Bowie videos! Thanks for sharing them.
When I was viewing your links I came across this one. It shows a young man hearing Bohemian Rhapsody for the first time. I love this guy -- he really makes me smile!Â
I just watched that young man watching Rhapsody for the first time. Â I love what he said slowly with so much feeling and awe, "This is music."Â
Â
(and for everyone)
OMG!!!!
You need to hear this song. Â My 20 year old daughter just played it for me. Â It dropped today from the group The 1975, a UK band. Â She loves and follows this band. Â Â It is spoken instrumental. piece, not a "typical " song.
THIS is our YOUTH! Â They are SO enlightened.
OMG!!! Â Unbelievable. Â It is about climate change. Â I am listening to it again as I type and I am crying. Â

Dear Baltimore, Â
Just a note to remind you, that if the (p)Resident hates you, it is because he has first hated me.          signed, America
shout out to Deetoo, Cindy, Lisa, and all of the other beautiful Baltimore babes! If any of you know other great songs from your city, please lay them on us now!
Â
@unk-p, What a kind and loving thing to do ... thanks, hon!  It takes away some of the pain I was feeling about his vile comments. (I'd also spent way too much time using expletives this past week!) I lived my first 30 years in Baltimore City -- don't live there now, but I'll always be a Baltimoreon at heart.  The John Waters' movie Hairspray (the original 1988 version) really captures the Baltimore where I grew up.
Here are some songs:
Raining in Baltimore (Counting Crows). Sad song, but I love it:

Â
Dancing in the Streets (Martha and the Vandellas) -- not specifically about Baltimore, although as a teen and young adult I'd anxiously wait for Baltimore to be mentioned in the song. It makes me think of the grittiness and soul of the city:
