@ghandigirl I find mildly curried bok choy with ghee and mashed pressure cooked purple potatoes are helpful. Cook the choy with caraway and remove the seeds.  Voila.

This is so minor, but I would like to ask for healing of an ear infection that I am experiencing. The worst part is that my left ear is stopped up and has been for a week. I would appreciate your prayers and healing energies. We are flying this week and I'm hoping it won't be miserable. Thank you. ❤️

@ghandigirl,

I’ve begun a few responses to you but none of them seem adequate in addressing the worry and pain you are feeling right now.  I am very sorry you are in this difficult space, @ghandigirl.  You’ve been through a lot.  The collective pain we are all experiencing must also be adding to your burden.  I can’t know how you really feel, because your path is uniquely different from mine.  What I do know is being human is hard.  Pain is part of the shared human experience, and it can be transformed into connection with others.  I’m someone who too often chooses to suffer alone and in silence, so I sometimes need reminders of our common humanity. Thank you for that reminder.

I believe you and I joined the Forum around the same time, and over the years, I’ve seen how you’ve faced your challenges with honesty, courage, and resilience.  I’ve also seen you give back to this community 100-fold, probably in ways you don’t even realize.  You’ve certainly done that for me. You have always come from a place of deep compassion, spiritual truth and love.  Thank you for being present to us, in all the ways that are you.  Thank you for sharing your light with us.

Please give yourself that same loving kindness and compassion you have so generously given to others.  This community will be holding space for you, @ghandigirl, as you move forward on your path.  Sending you strength, healing and lots of love.

@lowtide, I'm sorry you are dealing with that.  I've never had an ear infection but have experienced a totally stopped-up ear.  I'm sending you healing and pray that the infection resolves before your trip.

@lowtide 🙏🏻💜🪽💚🙌💚🪽🙏🏻 sending!

take gum and chew during takeoff and landing...have water available to swallow and also remember yawning. These things will help your ears to "pop".

I would like to ask for healing

I'm sorry you're dealing with that.

Ear infections are no fun. Especially when you have a pending flight!

I've had them before flights and even rescheduled a flight so I didn't damage my eardrum (bummer at the time but it was the right choice) so I know how that feels.

I'm wishing you a speedy recovery!

@lowtide

Can you see an ENT?  My husband had a horribly clogged and painful  ear and needed to fly a few days later.  His ENT was actually helpful.  May you be able to travel safely!

Seeing an ENT is a good idea.  But if you can't get in on short notice, you might go to an urgent care center ("doc in the box").  Practitioners at such places are used to seeing ear infections because children get them so often.

Hope it gets better SOON!

Thanks everyone! Within an hour of posting my plight, I felt relief. Your healing powers helped!

I had gone to an urgent care and have been taking an antibiotic, Claritin and Flonase. With that, and your help, I believe I'm well.

Just finished a 6 hour flight with no ear issues. Really amazing!

Art helps. I taught myself Mosaics this summer so I could make this. I call it Garden Path Guitar.

Gorgeous artwork, @ghandigirl!  Are all of the mosaic pieces you've created in glass?  I took a course in it a few years ago.  Because I have RA in my hands, my biggest challenge was working with the glass cutter.  You've just reminded me of my long desire to create a mosaic tabletop.  Time to revisit that!  Thank you.

@ghandigirl I am so sorry you are going through this. That's a full load! I'm sending you reiki and see you in the light of healing and love.

I am also going through estrangement with my daughter, and can attest to the pervasive impact that has on all parts of us. I'm one of the legion of parents suffering from this epidemic of no-contact children who often cannot or will not identify why they've made the choice they have. I had no idea this was so widespread until it happened to me. We were so close, and the shift in her was sudden and baffling (although it did coincide with a new romantic partner entering her life). I also had to walk away, since she doesn't want to work on the issue, only to blame. I pray that you find peace. If you ever want to talk about this, I'm here.

@deetoo

Regular mosaic tiles. I buy the irregular white ones and colored ones as well and use the white ones in all of my pieces. Nerve damaged right arm so haven't tried the cutters yet but might at some point. Tabletop sounds fun.

@ghandigirl love the mosaic guitar! Would you mind stringing it up and playing us a song on it?

@ghandigirl you know how when you play guitar in a tiled bathroom, and it sounds so much better?  curious to see how it sounds when the guitar is tiled
