@anya I hope the booster doesn't affect you as much this time! Healing energies and prayers surround you as your body does its work. Take care!

Thanks lowtide and journeywithme.  It feels a bit worse riding it out this time.  Hopefully all gone asap.

Hi people…I just got a job about 6 months ago writing proposals for a government contractor. It can be tedious and stressful at times, but I generally like the work. I do make edits in Grammarly from time to time and this hasn’t been a problem or issue until now. I got an email from the department that looks into these things. Our AI policy is ever evolving, and I know that using ChatGPT at work is forbidden because that’s generating content. I made a few edits to some paragraphs from a document in Grammarly that was proprietary and I got caught. I was told not to do it again and it sounds like it happens quite a bit where they have to tell people not to use it. Had I known, I wouldn’t have used the site in the first place. It sounds trivial, but I am scared of getting in trouble. I was laid off twice last year and it really messed me up mentally. I was very grateful to get this position and don’t want to screw things up. I’m trying to remain positive because it was only a few paragraphs and a mistake on my part. I just need some encouragement and whether anyone can read into this situation to know that everything will be okay. I want to prosper and grow in my position and stay at this organization for the long haul. I’m just really nervous if this will have any repercussions for me.

@leebee

The fact that you feel distress, and are genuinely apologetic, realizing you made a mistake, can work in your favor.

I don't have a psychic feel about this but can share something I learned years ago. I learned to tell myself, " I made a mistake, I am not a mistake."

Caring people such as yourself feel things deeply. It can be hard to forgive yourself, especially when you have been burned twice with layoffs. You may feel badly about yourself. You may feel grief, lose.

No matter what the outcome know you are not defective or deficient.. We grow from our mistakes even though it can feel hard and a slow log.

I also learned to tell myself that better days are coming. I don't always believe myself, but I tell myself anyway.

  • @leebee It seems to me that you were just made aware of the rules and not given a verbal warning. Your employer has to go through a series of verbal and written warnings before taking any action to let you go. I agree with @ghandigirl that your reaction to making the mistake probably showed on your face and in your words. Have faith in your abilities and use your workplace approved editing systems, and you most likely will be fine! Big hugs! It's scary when something like this happens!

My daughter, Marica. needs help. Her husband lost his job due to a broken ankle. She has worked at her job for 20 years, and she asked for a raise. Her boss said no. Please asked the angels to soften the heart of her boss, Robert, to give her a raise.
