@journeywithme2 Hugs to you ❤❤❤. Alcohol addiction is a horrible disease. Hugs to your son ad well.❤❤❤
Really a fantastic photo! Your smile is brilliant!
And about ripples. I really have thought a lot about them over the past few years. What an excellent example you have given on their impact. Thank you for sharing that story here with us all.
@journeywithme2 My friend you have my prayers, my energy, and my light all headed to your son. May this temproary setback be just that - a temporary setback.
@dannyboy and @pafc
thank you both -much appreciated!🙏🏻💚🪽💚🙏🏻
I am not sure where this next bit goes... I was meditating on my son, on Joe Biden... on all that is going on ....
and... I got this earworm out of the ethers and heard a loving , rueful chuckle as it began to play :

@journeywithme2 For what it's worth, when I clicked the link I was greeted by two ads and then the very slow opening, so - to remind myself how the song went, I skipped forward and landed at 1:52 and the lyrics "So don't surrender 'cause you can win in this thing called love..."
Seems important. 😉
I'm going to request emotional support for everyone here (including myself) who has been shaken by tonight's events.
Obviously, none of us wants a climate where political violence is practiced openly.
But I still want to live in a democracy. I fear this was the final nail in democracy's coffin... 😪 😫 😩
Sending calm and caring to you. This is not a nail in a coffin. Democracy is like an Oak with deep roots in an intense storm. The great Tree stands and will NOT fall. ❤️
The words of @tesseract are beautifully very wise and true.
Heed them.
Lots of prayers for the 2 people in critical condition ( according to the latest from the Secret Service) and their families, and the family of the rally attendee who was killed. Nobody deserves this. Nobody. I am grateful the former president is not seriously injured.
May our Secret Service learn from this to better protect those they are entrusted to keep safe. They will also need our prayers as will all of those who attended the rally. Lots of emotional trauma for them today.
Sending calm and caring to you. This is not a nail in a coffin. Democracy is like an Oak with deep roots in an intense storm. The great Tree stands and will NOT fall. ❤️
Thank you, @Tesseract
Like many others on this forum, I had great difficulty sleeping last night. Lots of numbness and anxiety coursing through my body.
The only thing I can think of, to do (on my part), is write more advocacy letters. And make sure I'm denouncing all violence across the board within the letters themselves.
Hello Friends,
After a lifetime of GI issues, I have been diagnosed recently with GERD. I've been following the GERD diet, but have cheated recently, causing myself a setback. It is hard to give up sweets and chocolate, but I have no other choice.
I'm back on track with a firm resolve to stick to my program and goals. However, I am having more pronounced problems with dysphagia, difficulty swallowing. The dysphagia was occasional before, but it is getting worse and happening more often. This week has been particularly difficult.
I saw my Doc today and he is sending me to see a specialist for a barium swallow test, and speech therapy. I am hoping for a quick appointment.
Not being able to swallow is a horrible feeling. I am actually quite scared. I also suffer from Anxiety (capital A) and tonight it is a rough ride for me. I am a teacher and I always research everything, but researching this tonight has caused me to be very fearful. I stopped myself from looking at any other articles and decided to reach out here.
I have so many health issues and I always soldier through, but this condition is daunting.
I'm also feeling very sad and sorry for myself tonight. I just feel so exhausted from so many challenging conditions.
Please send healing to my throat/esophagus. Please share any wisdom you may have that might help me to not be so scared.
Thanks friends.
Sorry to hear. ❤️
I experience dysphasia from time to time and it sucks. Try to stay calm when it happens (easier said than done, I know) Definitely stop reading internet articles, at least until you see your doc; it makes the anxiety worse. Ask your doc lots of questions; knowledge is power.
I have more than a couple things going on too, and there's days where you're just like, "REALLY? Something else??" Then you feel like screaming and sometimes do lol
Try to stay positive and know that there is surgery (if it comes to that) and always ongoing research to better understand the condition and treat it.
@ghandigirl whatever you do, don't listen to Dr. Google. That shit is designed to scare people. Just go to your regular doctor, and see what's up. GERD is totally treatable.
May you feel an overflowing sense of calm and peace. May your body take in healing energy being sent to you and may you sleep well.
Just now seeing your first post about baby Nico. I am hoping that by now there have been some answers.
Thanks.
I needed to hear every one of your Messages.
@ghandigirl, I'm sorry you're dealing with the dysphasia. I'm sending you prayers of healing and peace of mind. Your doctors will figure this out.
I have some ongoing health challenges and understand your frustration. As @polarberry remarked, it can be maddening when something else comes up. I sometimes have dysphasia, which for me is connected to cervical dysfunction/tmj from past car accidents. Anxiety can make the swallowing issue worse for me.
Like you I'm a good researcher, sometimes to a fault. There are times my monkey-mind can take a detour into crazytown. I agree with @unk-p and @polarberry -- stay away from Google for now. Spend time focusing on what gives you peace and joy. Rest in the knowledge that Spirit has your back, and so do we.
@ghandigirl As a Hashimoto's person who had a very large goiter and chokes on her own spit....I can relate.
Sending you much Light and Love and Healing 🙏🏻💜💚🕊️💚🙌🕊️💚🙏🏻
@ghandigirl You have my sympathy, with your ongoing heath issues. I do hope the docs and others, give you confidence and relief from your symptoms.
