Thank you everyone for your beautiful words and prayers on Saturday for my daughter's wedding.
The wedding turned out to be simply amazing.
There were some hiccups of course, including one of the embroidered button loops breaking on my daughter's dress and needing to call a friend to run to a store and get embroidery thread and a needle an hour before the wedding. Her sister sewed it back on just in time.
Yes, I was a bit scattered. haha
One of the things I was not expecting was how during the "getting" ready process ( which takes hours) and switching to a small clutch purse, I would keep loosing things because I had no room in the clutch for them and had no pockets. My phone, car keys, room key ( room kept disappearing underneath things and yes I know ),
The best man was not allowed to join the wedding rehearsal because of his covid status but was given doctor's permission to attend the wedding and stand up for his brother the groom in time for the actual wedding which was a big relief to the groom and his family.
An unexpected moment was when my dad bent down in his suit to help my daughter put on her shoes. It was precious. The room got completely silent and the photographer snapped shots of the whole thing. She said she had never seen anything like it. He didn't want me or any of the bridal party to do it in our long gowns. He also carried her train around as she went out for pictures. It was absolutely adorable.
Thanks for giving us the update! I am so happy to hear of your beautiful day! I am glad that the best man was able to attend the wedding and stand up for his brother. And what a wonderful, special time with your Dad helping the bride. Simply lovely.
Thank you all for sending healing to Hallie, it is much appreciated. 💕💕💕 Hopefully I will find a new vet who can isolate the problem. It's so hard to see a pet suffer.
@JourneyWithMe2 I've had sciatica for many years but recently discovered a sleeping position that helped me dramatically. I've always slept on my side, used the pillows between the legs etc but still had pain. One of my friends suggested I stretch my lower back while laying on my side in bed by pulling my legs up sort of like a fetal position. The pain stopped during my stretch and I fell asleep like that, woke up in the same position in the morning. My pain was very minor compared to normal. Might be with trying to see if it helps you.
@lovendures thank you for sharing your family’s special day. I knew and prayed all would go on as you had hoped. I think all the little hiccups make the day even more special. Hi, an update on my sister. Her broken neck isn’t healing, it is actually getting worse. Next week she will be having an operation to put pins into it, 2 specialists will be doing it. It is complicated by her osteoporosis which is why it isn’t healing. It is a bit fraught as a lot of things could go wrong, from nerve damage, paralysis, heart attack etc. My brother in law and nieces are under a lot of stress.
Hopefully all will be well.
