@jeanne-mayell

I had to laugh out loud when I realized the joke was on me for announcing something that I wasn't aware had been canceled.

You know I hardly ever miss Circle of Light though I am an all but invisible phone in person.

Love you Jeanne and the waiting in an empty waiting room and having my own private and lovely goodbye complete with a party hat as "Coyote the great Trickster" played his flute for performance for an audience of one.

Then I heard the plaintive strings of a violin as my own heartstrings repeated the sweet tones along with his.

Nothing was wasted or lonely or left out but exactly as it should have been. It was filled with laughter as well as a sweet tear or two.

In my life going with the flow has always been just that!

💜🕊💜

You heard violin strings?  FYI: Coyote played the violin.

@jeanne-mayell

Isn't that just the best?

Music must have filled his life with such joy! He was truly a "Jack of all Trades" and interests. A full life, a challenging life, but still filled with wonderful opportunities and joy.

My violins and @lovendures beautiful musical vision!

Love it!

💜🕊💜

@cc21

My heart is soaring. I know how intense ECMO can be and aa tricky as it can be during coming off if, it can so worry and be of intense concern for loved ones.

Feeling grateful and knowing love and prayers and sharing of energetic gifts are still needed for recovery,, those all shall be as requested and so given.

Peace and rest and healing for all and benefits to you as well for your beautiful dear caring heart

Hi, an update on my sister. We managed to always have a family member with her each day while in hospital and yesterday (Friday) her daughter and husband took her on the 1000 kilometre trip home. Rental car down to the city for the airport. A staff member kindly drove them to the airport rather than risking their shuttle service where a woman was waiting with a wheelchair to get her into the terminal and eventually onto the plane. People were very kind. Then the 90 minute car trip home, a very big day and a terrifying one for her. She is safely home and slept well in her own bed and can now continue healing amongst family.

Regards to all

@matildagirl

Excellent news Matildagirl. SO happy to hear she is home and the trip back was a safe one.  May she continue to recover and be in good health soon.

Oh my stars.... just catching up (still) and reading about Coyote has just broken my heart. The brightest starts do burn out the fastest, it would seem. Rest in peace, power, and light.

Dad may possibly get out of the hospital tomorrow ( even tho I still have concerns things may go downhill). So this morning,  as I was getting ready for the day, I wondered if I'd finally get the time, peace & quiet to put some helpful, hopeful words into an email to send to Coyote's parents via Jeanne. I felt that all too familiar nagging feeling of being a parent who's lost a child needing to reach out & help others facing the same anguishing journey. The thought popped into my head several times throughout the day at the hospital.

Imagine my shock & horror to get home & find the news that another school has faced such tragic loss.

I know everyone here will be shocked, heartbroken & dismayed like me at the news out of TX. I also know that all here will be sending prayers, light & love just like me. It's horrific we have to do so all too often. Please know that while it may not seem like you are doing much given the circumstances (don't we all feel so helpless at such times?), I can assure you from personal experience it does help those in the throes of such heartbreakingly devastating circumstances.

@cindy

Thank you so much for your post!  Thank you for every part of it from hearing about your father ( may he be able to be home) to a letter to Coyote's parents, to your intuition on losing a child and this shooting.

Your words are as always, a blessing and filled with love and light.  Thank you!!!

I am broken.

I am listening to a broken president speak.

Also, just so we are crystal clear, Abbot, Cruz and Trump are supposed to address the NRA National convention in Houston in 72 hours.

There are so many dark thoughts flowing through my head regarding these 3 individuals and all politicians who support the NRA or other dark money causes.

This shooting took place on the edge of the Texas hill country.  My daughter teaches in the Texas hill country.

I am so tired of this B*ll Sh*t.

It is believed he had an AR-15.

I have known way too may people personally who have been effected by mass shootings.  I have documented them here with  posts in our community forum.  These are friends who have lost loved ones in mass shootings. And @cindy, you have offered much love to me and us all when these situations have occurred.

I understand the fear of a teacher who must figure out how to keep her class safe during a real live intruder situation on campus.  2 years before Columbine, I was reading a story to my kindergarteners when a parent burst through my classroom door demanding their child.  They were likely on drugs, ranting, raving and angry.  My students were on the rug during circle time.  I did not know if the parent had a weapon but my mind raced trying to figure out how to protect them.  The student was not present in my classroom at that moment ( I saw very glad they were elsewhere at that moment) and the only thing I could think time was to get the person out of my class, calmly. I told him in a strong voice that his child wasn't in the class and that if he wanted to remove them from school for the day, he needed to go to the office and they would locate the student for him.   I had to repeat myself and calmly but strongly direct him to the office for assistance.  As soon as he left I locked the door and phoned the office.  My class and the kindergarten wing were isolated and not connected to other builds so he had to walk outside to get to the office.

This was before lockdowns and shooter drills.  Though Columbine had not happened, there had been a few shootings in the past. We did have "code reds", just not drills,  and I remember telling the office "code red".

On a side note, I also had to deal with a grenade that came to my the first grade class for show and tell.  Not a joke.  It wasn't live, but that was only determined after I had to evacuate my then first grade class and call the office to let them know.

Do reasonable republicans exist anymore????

This is preventable.  We have the tools to stop mass shootings and certainly reduce them.

I have marched for gun reform with my children.  Our entire nation needs to march. And be activists.  It is not enough to say we want to do something. We MUST do something.
