Curious if anyone can get anything from our pup Sammie.. aka monster. Thanks in advance ♥️
Hey all - I’d like to introduce you to a little guy we’re calling Boone. He’s coming home to us next Wednesday. My wife and I hope to train him as a therapy dog. He’s a Bernese Mountain Doodle (Bernedoodle)
I get a completely gentle chill aura from him - (not just from this pic from a video but overall) looking forward to getting to know him and for him to get to know our Oliver and our cats. Anyone got a read on our new boy?
@dannyboy. He's a major cuddler. I'd like a chance to read him again when his eyes are open and he's a bit older but for now, I see him pressing his sweet warm cuddle body against people to let them know gently that he is there for them. What a cutie.
@jeanne-mayell We're going to see him on Monday - I have other pictures of him but they're the breeder's and they're watermarked with the name they're using for each puppy. Stay tuned :-) (I am SO excited even though we've never roomed with two dogs before. I say it this way because we don't "own" our pets, they're furry roommates 🤣!)
So here's a pic of Boone from our visit today. He's having eye surgery tomorrow - he has entropion which is somewhat common in bernedoodles - basically his eyelids are folding inwards and he'll have some tacking surgery done tomorrow which should correct it. (Our vet says this surgery often does correct it completely, but a small number of dogs will need to have a more permanent version of it when they're over a year if it recurs. We'll watch it. Anyway, he has that tomorrow morning and then I'll pick him up at noon on Wednesday.
So - pictures with both eyes open right now were tough because he has a lot of hair! And his eyes are runny. But this is him with my wife.
When you pick him up he just melts. He rested his head on my shoulder and I just held him and snuggled for long minutes at a time. He's the least adventurous of his littermates, which we also like. He is a big ball of fluff. He's what's known as a mini but they think he's going to be 60-80 pounds by the time he's fully grown - nothing mini there - that's about the size of our chocolate lab!
Y'all, I'm in love!
@dannyboy to say Boone is adorable is an understatement, what a sweet boy! I hope his surgery went smoothly. My parents have an Aussiedoodle that is an emotional support animal, and it sounds like Boone acts the same way, just the meltiest lovebug ever.
Anyways, I decided to finally post a picture of my boy Amos, he'll be 3yrs in October. I won't say anything about him, I'm curious about what people see in him.
Amos is an adorable fur ball@avon. I sense he is full of energy, inquisitive and fun to have around but also here to help his humans. My first impression of him as soon as I saw his photo was that he is here as an animal empath with the purpose of helping his humans cope with whatever stress happens in their lives. It’s like he has a very well developed stress depicting radar, ready and available to whomever needs love! I feel he would make a good support dog or companion for an older couple or someone with PTSD or related issues. Despite having grown up with dogs, I must admit that I am partial to cats and have a much easier time reading the kitties on this site. Dogs are much more difficult for me. But Amos is the first dog I have seen who’s energy attracted me to attempt to read him. Regardless, he’s a cutie.
