I'm not sure how well she can see. If her food is on a colorful plate or falls on the mat that has a pattern she can't find it. I wouldn't be surprised if there is some kind of a vision issue. That might be what you were picking up on. I think if she were a little human girl she'd need little pink glasses.
She has not been cuddly usually, but these past few weeks she is imitating my other cat and sitting on my lap. She is heavy and my legs start to fall asleep but I let her. The cats fight all the time over my affections. Sometimes they share me, the little one, who weighs 5 pounds, on my shoulder and Lolli, who weighs almost 14 pounds, on my lap.
She is affectionate but if you pet her when she doesn't want to be petted she will hit you. It's on her terms!
They both like to watch me make art with my hot glue gun, which is the sewing motions you picked up on.
Thanks so much for the reading. :)
@ghandigirl Thanks for the feedback on Lollipop… one of my cats, Felicity, was a beautiful, feisty, intelligent and strong willed… she never ever became a lap cat… But over time we bonded closely… I was her pillow at night. She did everything but talk. She followed me everywhere Her vet put a red band on her file because she was so feisty she sent two unwary interns into the emergency room. He was astonished at the way that the two of us bonded.
If I stopped rubbing her ears and neck when she was laying on my chest at night… She would turn around and bat me in the face with her tail. Trust me, she knew exactly what she was doing. LOL. When I was working on my computer, she would sit on my research papers, observing me work. She lived 21 years
I don’t know how long you’ve had Lolipop but for me relationships with animals are just like relationships with people—they evolve over time. Like me, you might end up with a standoffish cat, turning into a huggable (at her time and choosing) as you both continue to learn how to “talk” to each other.
I’d have that one eye checked…
Give your “little” fuzzy a verbal “hug” for me.
