@lynn and @fiveleafclover  As far as our democracy is concerned, I agree that the horse has left the barn, but the damage T and Barr are doing to American democracy is still not completed and democracy is not terminal. It feels like they are about half way to two-thirds of the way in completing a full take down of the democracy.  November's elections will be the final determinant.

I also agree with you and posted it yesterday that the Attorney General does not intend to testify before Congress.   Barr would be a joke if he weren't so dangerous. He actually has it in his head that he's a purveyor of justice.  He thinks he is upholding laws as he sits in his big Justice office at his big desk. He thinks that the Institution of the Justice Department is somehow defining him.  He doesn't see that his actions are defining the institution and destroying it at least while he is in office.

John Mitchell turned that job into a mockery when he was in office during Nixon. Then he went to jail.

Like Mitchell, Barr's career will end in disaster. I see him scuttling along the bottom of Hell like a little crab. Only because there are so many aiding and abetting Trump, Barr will do a lot more damage than Mitchell did and end out suffering worse karma too,

In the meantime, democracy will take a beating but it will not die altogether. We are not a people who will take this lying down.  They will have to imprison millions of people.  The rule of law was crushed in Nazi Germany from 1933 to 1945 and they came back and became a great democracy. Germany has free higher education and health care too, by the way.

When I meditated today, all I got was an image of an angel and Barr as a big heavy lump of something black - like coal. Not sure what that means!

Democracy is taking a beating, but the people doing it are not the majority. The collective needs to wake up and peacefully show its displeasure.

@jeanne-mayell,

(Bear with me for a moment.)

My wife and I live in a 120-year old Victorian that eats up a lot of my time with maintenance. You may find this odd but I often "feel" the presence of the men who built this house beside me while I am working on various projects. I can't help but think that they appreciate my preserving their creation.

Likewise I can't help but think that the giants of our past are with us now as we struggle to preserve our democracy. I have heard more than one channel say that the spirits of the founders and more than a few of our late presidents are doing what they can to help us get through this. They assure everyone that we will get through.

I can't help but think that Trump is circling the drain. His behavior is more and more erratic as he deteriorates both mentally and physically. I feel that six months from now senate Republicans will wish they had voted to convict.

We will get through this and we will come out stronger. Trump has brought the barely suppressed darkness of our society to the surface where it can be examined and rejected. Things are coming to a head and their are brighter days ahead.

@elaineg

Nobody liked my post so I'd better explain. LOL  He's the crab from The Little Mermaid who sings Under the Sea.

I'm a grown-up, at least in body, but I love that movie.

@paul-w along these same lines - I have to believe that all of the karma that king orange has been building is escalating right now. The desecration of sacred burial grounds for the purposes of the "border wall" is just one example - this doesn't even begin to capture the karma he has built up toward individuals, migrant families and children, etc.

I imagine that many souls are being awakened from the vast atrocities of this man and his allies. Truly enlightened beings such as yourself feel the past with them and feel some responsibility for that and carry that forward as hope for the future and turning this around.

Although I don't know when or how - but when the karma comes back to them (and it will) - it is going to be awful........truly awful.

@paul-w  Thank you.  Several people have seen the founding fathers.  Trying to remember who is was but one person saw George Washington in the hearings.  I had seen Ben Franklin. Alexander Hamilton thrives in our culture right now thanks to Lin-Manuel Miranda's Hamilton.

 I love your six month timeline. In a channeled youtube, I got that he'd not make it to the next Inauguration.  Although I don't have a timeline for Trump right now, like you, and so many here,  I know with all of my being that he will go down.

 I was asking myself today about his karma. I was thinking this morning of powerful people who have met their Waterloo.

I got the message that Trump's downfall is coming and his karma will be horribly public for him.  While he will suffer karma in different ways, the worst outcome for him will be the denigration of his family name. His name will go down in history as so dark that no one will ever take that name again.

BTW, speaking of bad karma, one of his loudest and most vicious defenders, Jim Jordan, is back on the block this week for multiple witnesses saying he failed to report sexual abuse of students when he was a coach at Ohio State. Once again, child predation seeps into the Trump and the GOP brand.

@lynnventura and @5leafclover,

I agree with everything you’ve both stated, yet I feel peaceful and hopeful.  That may seem like a contradiction – in fact, I was questioning that of myself – but I don’t believe that it is.

Last night on Rachel Maddow, she spent the first 20 minutes sounding the alarm of what is happening to our democracy.  Rachel drew on the 2016 writings of Russian-American journalist Masha Gessen and historian Timothy Snyder about the necessity for our citizens to become engaged and protect our institutions from a threatening autocracy.  I’ve attached a link to the first 8 minutes of that segment:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qY72yTHIiII   I haven’t read Gessen’s full article on this subject, but intend to do so.  I do have Snyder’s book, “On Tyranny”, which I highly recommend.

After I listened to Rachel, that familiar feeling of fear and dread began to overtake me.   Oh crap, I thought.  I know what we’re up against.  This might be the point of no return.  Are my feelings of hope just rose-colored-glasses, wishful thinking? I continued to question myself and felt foolish.

Suddenly I found myself surrounded by spirits – whether spirit guides or angels, I couldn’t say – but it was all good.  First time I’ve felt that many spirits in my immediate space.  I felt very peaceful.  Light.  I then asked the question, will this work out?  Will we all be okay?  The spirits were still there, in full force.  I felt goosebumps.  The strong affirmation, the spiritual reassurances – and so peaceful, that I actually felt joy.  I smiled and was close to tears.  I wanted to share this with someone, and almost posted with you all at that midnight hour, but I didn’t want to be in my head, attempting to construct  sensical sentences … I just wanted to be.  So I grabbed a piece of paper, jotted down some impressions, and went to bed.

I’m thinking that often when Spirits speak, they’re not speaking in linear time.  At least not to me.   I still consider myself a novice with predictions.  So I might occasionally get a year or month – i.e. my strong Ides of March message – but what does that really mean in terms of outcome?  And if I’m sensing “soon” – well, that’s pretty open-ended.   I sometimes laugh and ask Spirit, if you’re telling me “soon,” I hope you’re not meaning 2050!  I want what I want, and I want it NOW.  Partly because, as a senior, I’d like to be around to see it happen!

I know how ridiculous this might sound – we are on the edge of the abyss, and I’m feeling peaceful?  Even joy?  But what I also strongly felt last night, and left me in awe, was the enormous power of the light within me.  The power of the light within me.  Within us.  That light felt eminently stronger than any external threats we are currently facing.

I did get a hint of what my joy was about.  It was the joy of our country’s transformation.  Our world’s transformation.  I felt like it was already here.  A world very different from what I’ve lived these past 67+ years.  That recognition and joy of our interconnectedness to everything and everyone around us.  Like we were already living it.  That experience told me all is not lost.

I’m not delusional.  I clearly recognize the dangers we are facing.  Things are probably going to get darker still.  This is unbelievably painful.  And here we are.  I understand that we are witnessing the horror of our crumbling democracy.  As @vestralux stated, it’s a little bit like riding out a hurricane from inside the eye.  But we have the courage to face this.  And we have the courage to do what we are called to do as lightworkers.

In the words of @Bluebellewe all need to hold on right now.  Let us use that light power of our collective spirit to calm, inspire, support and strengthen us.  What we are witnessing now is not the end of the story.  Remain hopeful, my friends.  And have faith. ❤️

@polarberry, LOL!  I didn't know who Sebastian was either, so typical of my love of research, I Googled.  What I came up was the following:

Sebastian is a vampire who made his debut on the second episode of the second series of Legacies.  Legend has it that he fed on so many humans that it was no longer for hunger, but for mere sport.  (Hmm ... could it be ....?)

Then I took a look at the actor who played Sebastian.  Trust me – BillyB is no Sebastian the Vampire!

BTW, I’m surprised that I didn’t remember Sebastian from The Little Mermaid.  I love that movie too!

You probably know him by his full given name, Horatio Thelonious Ignacious Crustaceous Sebastian.  Sebastian is his stage name.  ?

Now I had to look up Sebastian from Legacies.  And yes, BB can only dream, lol

Ever notice that the more repulsive a man is, like T, the quicker they are to insult women for their appearance? And the more they think they should only date what they refer to as 10's.

Barr reminds me, in a somewhat uncomfortable way - not sure why ,  of Fred Flintstone...without moments of Fred's remorse and apologies when he gets out of control. I just saw ABC Special with Barr saying he isn't influenced by anyone.. not Congress, Not Trump , Not anybody.... I kept expecting to see the his pants catch flame..but.. nothing but LIES came out.

HOW. DARE. YOU. Besmirch the name and reputation of fictional, animated, bottom dwelling crabs!?! Were this another time and place, I'd be tempted to challenge you to a duel. With cocktail forks.

@vestralux

regarding

the bizarre increase in the number of disincarnates in recent years:

[N]ever have I observed more than the number that are attached to our president, and no one can survive that much dead energy siphoning from his life force for very long. T no longer appears to have a way to process the miasma (festering inky gunk) that's been building up in his system. Honestly, I doubt that very much of what we see when we look at him is actually him anymore.

Yes!  I’ve seen that in T. as well.   (I can sometimes handle looking at him with no accompanying sound; it depends on how I am feeling that day.)   When I do choose to look at T, I always think to myself, what in blazes am I seeing?!?   It’s exactly as you stated.

Someone on this site (was it @jeanne-mayell?) once made the analogy to the picture of Dorian Gray.  That picture has stayed with me.

Yeah, Republicans seem to have a propensity towards being evil and/or indifferent to children.  For all of their talk about saving the unborn, they seem to be unfeeling towards the child's quality of life once it is born.

As to Jim Jordan's failure to report sexual abuse, don't be surprised if the Republican party just shrugs their shoulders and do nothing (as always).  But what I find especially creepy is this: When Carroll reported that she was raped by Trump, she mentioned that Trump compared her to her daughter.  And there is footage of him talking about how beautiful Ivanka is.  Yet to me it has never felt like the usual "I am a proud father of a beautiful daughter" vibe.  It seems like he is almost...possessive of her.  Like he desires her (and not in a good way, either).

Not that it matters.  If we learned Trump had abused Ivanka (or anyone else, for that matter), McConnell and the Republicans still won't do anything.  I'm tired of waiting for them to grow a spine or a semblance of empathy.  As far as I am concerned, they can burn with Trump if and when the time comes.

As to democracy, I see us taking a beating, but I actually think that if we can just get Trump and his minions out, our democracy will be so much stronger.  I foresee that if we win the House, Presidency, and Senate back, steps will be taken and laws will be passed to ensure that the abuses Trump had implemented will never happen again.  So of those laws will include the mandatory release of tax records by candidates, laws that require a President to not use his property for White House business, and the implementation of other laws that will restrict a President's ability to abuse the system.  Further, if the Democrats are smart, they should move to destroy gerrymandering nationwide and, as a last resort, start the process to abolish the electoral college (or at least make it more fair).  For example, my home state has eleven electoral votes.  If the state votes 60% Republican and 40% Democrat, the electoral votes should go as 6 to Republicans and 5 to Democrats.  Instead, with the system as it is now, all the votes go to the winning party, basically disenfranchising a good population of the state. Personally, I would like the Electoral College to be abolished completely (one person=one vote).  But if they at least made it more fair, I could live with that.  And if the Democrats did so, it would be much more likely that the fairer, kinder government we are all hoping for will come to pass, as it would force everyone to compromise and a minority would never again terrorize the majority.

I think that the cultural default in response to lawlessness and general evil has been altered to hopelessness.

It is time to change that reaction to Hope, simply.

@allyn I like your wish list.  I would also abolish the Senate. It is partial to red and rural states and gives them way too much power. It is a relic of a by-gone era.

I have a real strong feeling that something has changed in Trump World in the last 24 hours.  I can't quite put my finger on it, but something feels really off.

These are the things that happened just today that make me think that Trump may really just be holding on by a thread:

1. .  Trump tweeted another quid pro quo attempt on the state of NY, suggesting that he'll only return the Global Entry program to NY if Gov. Cuomo stops all of its investigations on Trump.   The NY AG promptly tweeted out a very forceful tweet telling Trump to bug off.

2. Hope Hicks, Sean Spicer and Reince Priebus are returning to the White House.  Hicks has been gone for 2 years, and Spicer and Priebus for 3 years.    This suggests a certain level of desperation in the WH.

2.  Bill Barr made negative comments about Trump on ABC news.

3.  John Kelly made very negative comments about Trump in a public speech last night.

4.  The Q crowd is getting crazier by the minute, spitting out theories about there being secret messages in, of all things, the Budweiser beer logo.  That's funny on the surface, but the Q crowd has really been frantic the last few days and it's likely that is being driven by the Trump organization to some extent.  Which leads me to the next item.

5.  Twitter deleted almost 20,000 accounts today that were identified as bot accounts.  This is probably the largest number of bots Twitter has deleted in a single day.  But it's just the tip of the iceberg and it indicates just how much the misinformation attacks are speeding up.  If you haven't read the article I posted in another thread about how Trump and his campaign are using misinformation, read it.  We all need to be aware of and prepared to fight against this, especially intuitives.

All of this (and a few more things) just have had me feeling butterflies in my gut all day.  Something has changed with and for Trump --  I strongly sense that he is both literally and figuratively on the edge more than he ever has been.  (Perhaps my feeling of this is reinforced by the crazy dream I had where I saw him actually physically fall off of a ledge with a big crunch.)

The next week or two is going to be critical for Trump and America. Perhaps he may get off that ledge safely or he may not.

And, that brings us right up to March, and all of the predictions that others have shared.

But the ledge is real and Trump is on it.
