@deetoo ❤️
I'm on my phone and clearly hit reply too soon 🤣
Sleeping is not really a problem because lying flat or sitting eases all of those conditions. What hurts is standing and walking. The hard thing is making myself stand up.and walk or do the PT because the pain subsides when sitting and intensifies when standing, walking, doing the necessary PT.. I make myself stand or do a PT exercise every 15-20 minutes. I do have a call in to see an NP and a dear friend to drive me although my experience says other than pain meds and PT, it is really just a time/patience thing. I have my cane and sense enough (now that I have VOTED ) to realize driving made it worse, especially in stop/go traffic. So I will continue working it through -- yelling as needed 🤣 since I live alone! It always does get better.
I have sent some healing prayers.
I have had success from really bad sciatica with a great Chiropractor. Have you tried one before? Hopefully the issue will resolve soon so you can move about freely.
@lowtide ❤️
Yes lots of ice and alternate low heat. Sigh. I've been here more than once! Lesson learned this time: don't drive!!! (But I had to Vote!) So now I reap the results. Cause and effect stops for no one!!! 😊 🤣
@lovendures ❤️
My favorite chiro was Erika who just survived Helene and Milton. I will ask the NP for a referral. Thanks!
I am feeling all the healing thanks a million everyone!
Clarification: just fyi for anyone experiencing these DIS---easements,
Sitting FEELS better with this kind of condition, but sitting is NOT good to do for long periods. Haha the contradiction is part of the 😳 about the whole thing.
@tesseract Often, a daily dose of Prednisone for about 5 days will calm down the offending nerve, if it is sciatica. I really hope it eases soon!
@tesseract As someone with PsA and L-4 L-5 herniated discs I KNOW this all to well. Spondylitis is no fun a 'tall. Having many chemical sensitivities and allergies I use alternative help as Celebrex caused anaphylaxis and methotrexate,plaquinil,hydroxychloroquine had more side effects than help.
I take Thorne Labs patented curcumin ( tumeric 's active ingredient) 1000 mg formula and use the frankincense and myrrh rubbing oil with good results.
I also found out that I am deficient in selenium that helps the body turn T4 in to usable T3 ( I have Hashimotos and IBS)and address that issue by eating 2 brazil nuts a day... the reduction in stiffness and joint pain has been amazing!!
Sleeping with a heating pad and turning it up for about 10-15 minutes before I get up out of bed gets things warmed up nicely so I can move more easily and do my morning PT moves to make a better day for me.
Everyone's body is different ... but I prefer letting my foods and nutrients be my medicine rather than Big Pharma nostrums that treat a symptom rather than heal and underlying root causes. Safer, more efficacious and less costly too!
I am sending reiki to ease your pain and inflammation levels... and if you want to try any of these things I shared or want more info on them .. feel free to email me.
@tesseract Boy can I relate. I have scoliosis, Back has always hurt, but it has gotten worse, plus I get sciatica attacks. I can't bend over for more than a minute or so before the pain gets too bad. Driving makes it hurt, and if it goes down my legs, when I get home, I take an aspirin and go to bed. I'm sorry you are suffering. Be careful of pain pills. A while back, I took half of one of my husband's old pain pills, and it messed up my bowl movements for three days. Those over the counter nerve pills don't work.
