@lovendures I'm so sorry for your injuries and having to cut your dream vacation short. That does sound painful - emotionally and physically.
But I will also say it speaks so well of you that you brought out the best in these wonderful people. It goes both ways!
@lovendures How is it that your story of loss, pain, and mishap was one of the most uplifting stories I've read? You show us how powerful love is. My Random prediction is that you will have a miraculous healing of both ankles and perhaps you will even get another Alaska trip with your beloved family when the time is right.
@lovendures Thank you for sharing your story. It sounds like even with challenging circumstances you stayed present, and you were supported the whole way through.
Are you still open to receiving prayers, intentions, and healing energy (e.g., Reiki) as you continue recovering from your surgery?
Wishing you all the best. ☺️
I agree with raincloud. Your spirit and openness inspire people around you to kindness. You are relentlessly kind, and your words of prayer have been uplifting and on target here on the forum.
I shattered my arm on the job 21 years ago and I personally understand your pain.
I am wishing for you every day less pain and more function returning. I'm sure the folks at PT will love you too.
Wayne Dyer said it best, "Loving people live in a loving world. Hostile people live in a hostile world. Same world."
You make this world better and you so deserve every positive loving thing that comes your way.
Love,

I am devastated .... they passed the big awful bill .... so much pain, suffering and loss of life ahead.... we fought as hard as we could .... to no avail. It is not in me to celebrate the 4th tomorrow. 💔🤢🤮😭
Dear community, thank you so much for your beautiful words and unexpected compassion and kindness. ( I'm not crying, you're crying. )
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Every day is a step forward. When there are steps backward, and yes there are some of those, there seem to be new discoveries or extra steps foward to keep me moving onward.
Your prayers, healing light and love have made a a big impact in my journey toward healing. Thank you.
My daughter brought back a Canadian t-shirt for me during the cruise I was unable to attend. It was perfect timing as I am going to wear it tomorrow in honor of our neighbors to the north who brightly hold the their shining torch of freedom as a lighthouse for their neighbors ( mostly below them) navigating this dark storm.
The only song I think I MIGHT sing tomorrow is God Bless America because it is a prayer which resonates with me.
It feels more of a funeral in my heart, no cause to celebrate. Perhaps I will honor those courageous and honorable souls who risked everything to make our nation stronger and filled with compassion. Those who made it lighter when darkness fell. We don't always need to be lighthouses. But we can embrace that light when we see it.
Tomorrow I will light a candle for the soul of my country.
Let's look for some light. It will be there. And you can amplify it.
If you see someone wearing a Black Lives Matter shirt, tell them that yes they truly do. Smile at those who dare wear rainbow anything and tell them they wear the color well. Send healing to our land, our Indigenous people, and those who are grief stricken and fearful. Do something which honors our nation, her people or her land tomorrow. Be kind to yourself. Never let the dream of a better tomorrow fade out. Hold a lamp up in your own way to let others see they are not alone. Perhaps you can simply reach out to a friend and tell them that they are loved.
In the meantime, this song came to me while writing this message and my goodness, this version is amazing!

13 people have died and 20 others are missing (most of them children from a summer camp) as devastating floods hit central Texas today. Some children are also accounted for but stranded.
Prayers going out to the families and the children. What a horrific disaster.
Great suggestions! The rendition of "Reach Out and Touch (Somebody's Hand)," gave me chills....heartfelt and beautiful arrangement.
When is the next "No King Rally"?
@lovendures I am trying.... Lord knows I am. TBS? Sometimes the pain and suffering I see right here in my own county and the hatefulness and glee of the MAGA in our area.... the emotional pain and helplessness I feel coming from our communities is sooo overwhelming it's hard to breathe. Barry Loudermilk, our GQP Rep...locked his doors and turned off his phones from all of us constituents who kept trying to contact him and continue to cry out against what is happening here in our communities. We have formed an ICE app that allows us to alert when "conditions are ICY at such and such road " etc. Being an Empath it can be overwhelming... the despair and fear. I am doing all I can ... and sending Love , Light and Reiki to all I feel suffering. I do thank you for your response and your suggestions. Keep us in your prayers.... Barbara Kingsolver is one of my favorite authors ..both fiction and non-fiction and I found this article on her to be a Joy and Inspiration.. https://www.theguardian.com/books/2025/jul/05/the-damage-is-terrifying-barbara-kingsolver-on-trump-rural-america-and-the-recovery-home-funded-by-her-hit-novel
I am just going to generally request emotional and physical support. I am also going to ask for help diverting any petty disagreements to vanish.
I am also a bit perturbed that this bill was passed and no one has relly reported on what is in it.
Couldn't it be unconstitutional if you pass a law when no one knows the details and the press has not reported comprehensively on it? I don't think that even any established or alternative news has truly broken it down yet, as well as the timeline for when these rules and regulations. How could we even contact our representatives to discuss what we do or do not support? Could it actually be challenged?

No, it's not unconstitutional (if that even means anything anymore). It's been done many times, including just after 9/11 when the bill was passed creating Homeland Security (most Congress critters had no idea what they were passing) and then again in 2008 in the bank bailout, when Nancy Pelosi famously said (on the record and on TV), "We have to pass it to see what's in it!
I would appreciate any spurts of energy tomorrow morning as I have my knee replaced. Participants in the Circle of Light sent a boost the other day but as I am nervous, I could use a little extra. Many thanks
@raincloud All good energy to you for your knee replacement! Smooth surgery and recovery energy to you. As they all say, do your PT and you will recover well! :) My husband had his knee replaced about 6 years ago (he is young for it, but had an injury years ago that led to bad arthritis.) He is getting a hip replaced next month. You can do this! And it will feel so much better upon recovery. He noticed the lack of arthritis pain almost right away. Good luck!
May your surgery go well and may it been a positive and healing experience. May your surgeons hands be guided and may it all be a blessing.
May everyone heal.

Some light and goofiness to get everyone through.
