My illness has proved resistant to the antibiotics.
I know worry is a wasted emotion, and that most things we worry about never come to pass. I also know that worrying takes your strength and if this is a more serious situation, I will need to preserve my strength.
But I'm worried.
Prayers also for my mother who suffered a stroke in her sleep two weekends ago. She now has bronchitis, and has swallowing issues and other damage from the stroke that will not be curable.
She is physically strong for a 94-year-old because she has been an athlete her whole life. She is mentally strong, but she is confused with dementia.

Asking for emotional support and prayers for safety and well being... This hurricane moving in " feels" it is going to be a lot like Opal .... which hit my area pretty hard during a time when I was going through a vicious divorce and alone with my 5 year old son.
Now? I am back in my old home with recovering from a very abusive " caregiver" situation... and having a PTSD situation about what I think its going to be a significant weather event for my area.

I am heartsick over this upcoming public execution. The Christa Pike situation has been awful enough. Now this. I didn't think we could go to this place. It's horrific for the collective psyche. I know, I know, everything is currently. Does anyone have any insights about this?
It's barbaric.And that alone will continue to wake people up. It will force a reaction. We don't want this. We are better than this. I see lawyers fighting these atrocities in court and advocates organizing. That is what America is. That is the best of us,
And even if our efforts fall on deaf ears, it will still makes a difference because light will shine on these situations and spread into empathy. Cruel and unusual punishment is illegal. Life in prison is reasonable and necessary for these crimes. Executions will go in the way of the dinosaurs and hopefully in our lifetimes.
@lowtide I doubt it will actually happen. The person may be executed, but attempting to broadcast it would run afoul of so many federal laws and regulations as to make it untenable if not impossible. Not even Fox would broadcast such a travesty, so the only venue for it would be TrumpTV, which is already failing miserably. There are still enough good people in the judiciary (even Orange One appointees) at all levels that if they did try to make it happen, there would be injunctions right and left, not to mention civil lawsuits. Hogsbreath and all of the others need impeached and removed.
