@dannyboy you have my prayers for your friend.  I recently lost a friend to this disease.  A clinical trail drug provided some hope and time but not a cure.   My heart goes out to your friends and all those fighting this disease and more.   We raise them up to ask and receive healing and peace.  ???

My reiki specialist, Jen, is extremely concerned about her daughter, Lexi. Lexi has a history of anxiety and anorexia, and the anxiety has gone through the roof since she started her freshman year of college last month. According to Jen she has also relapsed with the anorexia but is in denial and is not seeking out help.

Since Jen confided in me when she didn't have to, the best I can do (beyond sending my own healing intentions) is to ask for help for Lexi here. Jen has been sending her lots of reiki, but my intuition is telling me Lexi might benefit from prayers/intentions/reiki from people who aren't blood relations (not sure why, that's just what I'm feeling). So if you can send Lexi some good energy, her mother would appreciate it. (Lexi attends college in Connecticut if that helps).

@coyote

Thanks for letting us know Coyote.  I will send some healing energy and prayers to Lexi.  It is so difficult being a student in any grade right now.  I know a few in college right now who are having a difficult time with mental health issues.

@dannyboy , @coyote , I sent prayers & light to those  you requested. @ghandigirl , congrats on the new house!  @jeanne-mayell , I loved your monarch painting! So vivid & realistic. I've been thinking lately that I should dust off the easel & canvas myself. I've also been telling myself I need to clean the garage to get to my torch & kilns as well.

I've been a bit MIA for the last few weeks for a few reasons. First I adopted a 5 month old great dane great pyrenees mix, whom I call Ricki. We have no clue what she's been thru in life so far-tho I'm certain her experiences weren't all that pleasant. She's slowly coming around so I can pet her & pick her up when necessary, but she mostly runs away as a normal response. Trying a crate made her more skittish, she has quite a fear of me trying to hold her collar or heaven forbid, putting a leash on the collar. We're making progress tho. My dane-lab mix (Lucy) has accepted she's here, but isn't thrilled thay she plays too rough- now that Ricki will attempt to at least interact with Lucy. This too shall pass.

The day after I picked up Ricki, dad was taken to the ER. He was in uncontrolled A-fib. We spent most of Sunday there, & I could take him back to the home that evening since there are always medical staff around. It took 2+ weeks for the change in medicine to finally get him back in a normal heart rhythm, as of Thursday's EKG. Thankfully, we didn't have to shock him, and his blood thinners worked this time staving off another stroke. Oddly enough, he looked more frail Thursday than he had through the entire episode. Or maybe it's just my perception since mom was in my dreams just days before showing me she's waiting on him.

I'm looking forward to a few quiet days. Glad everyone here seems to be doing well. @lovendures , I love your new avi!

@cindy

Your new Ricki is absolutely adorable.  I hope he can settle in and learn to trust you.  What a fortunate puppy.  What a big boy he will become!!

I hope you get your few days rest.  And even more calm and peaceful days.  Hope your father has some restful days as well.

I was think of you this week Cindy, I am glad you had a moment to post and say "hi".

@cindy aw, Cindy, Ricki is so sweet. He looks like a gangly little boy whose going to grow into a very tall big boy.
