@Dina, thank you for your story - I am going through the pain of ours suddenly passing a week and a bit ago, a walk in the morning like we always did, to get a treat at the pet store, and then home, then my wife and I headed out to get a coffee, came back about 15 mins later like we always do. As I opened the door, I knew, and said it to my wife, and of course, our little girl had passed. Mia had been my shadow for some 3441 days, and its been rough. My wife has actually suffered broken heart syndrome - it is a real thing. Mia survived cancer back in 2020, and recently there was a benign growth at the base of her brain, that medicine was working with. Everyone, including the vet, was surprised, in the end, she died of a heart attack and I am told - but still feel lost - that she didn't know what hit her, and would have felt no pain, but of course, for the 15 minutes she needed me against the 3441 days she was there for me, I was not there for her. :(
Anyway, this community has always been supportive, understanding, and funny, I've just not known how to post this one, so thank you, Dina. No intention of taking away your good feelings at all, they help me. He is very cute!
@jackofhearts Thank you for sharing your story and I'm so sorry for your loss. Grief takes time and comes in waves. Take all the time you need and I hope Mia returns to you in another form 🙏❤️
My big cat Lollipop decided to come to the Circle of Light meditation. I wonder if anyone can tell me what they pick up from her?
@ghandigirl Lolipop looks startled … do you have another picture of her? Not sure why she looks a tad alarmed… what was your experience during the meditation?
@ghandigirl I looked at lollipop again… with one eye She is affectionately looking up at her mom… It’s the other eye that confused me… Maybe the light from the camera? Sweet little Lolipop is always happy to snuggle. Sensitive to your emotions.
@ghandigirl LOL. What came to mind was… “what, mom?” Definitely a huggable … helps supervise your sewing.
