There are now 80 brands which have gone public.

The public is currently pressuring outdoor auto makers like Subaru, Jeep and Toyota for support.

Follow the Alt National Park Service for social media for up-to-date information on many important topics.

Oh my. Allegations against Eric Swalwell have come out. Damning. Might be done if true.

@lovendures, I saw your U.S. Forest Service hit, i.e., (National Parks and Forests in the news.  (Lovendures) Predicted 10-25 for May 2026) and read the article you posted with it:

The US Forest Service in under attack from the our current president and the ALT National Parks is rallying the public to stop the desecration of our public forests.

So am now asking our community to stand up for our forests by clicking on the above link and following prompts to post a message to the brands (LL Bean, etc) whose products depend on Americans having wild places to hike in.

Trump just ordered the most devastating dismantling of the US Forest Service in 121 years. The outdoor brands that built their entire business on public lands haven't said a word. It's time to change that.

Urgent....they are voting on this now!!!! Call your Senators..PLEASE!!

VOTE NO ON House Joint Resolution 140. SAVE OUR BOUNDARY WATERS!!!!! THIS MUST BE STOPPED!!!! Here’s what makes this especially infuriating: the mine would be operated by Twin Metals a subsidiary of a Chilean company with a deal to smelt the copper in China. Foreign company with foreign profits. American wilderness destroyed. China gets the copper. We get the pollution.
And if it passes? It’s not just a setback you can undo in four years. The Congressional Review Act has a poison pill once a protection is overturned this way, no future president can ever issue a similar one again without a brand new act of Congress.

@journeywithme2

Absolutely agree!  This is a dire situation!

The reconvening of the senate and vote is now scheduled for 10:00am ET Thursday.  as of a few hours ago the senate switchboard had over 30,000 calls on this subject.

Call your senator NOW!

And yes, it is written so it can not be undone by any future president.

If you wish to pressure elected officials about the destruction going on in Big Bend National Park and Big Bend State Park, consider calling the following individuals:

1. Rodney S. Scott, Customs and Border Protection Commissioner, (877) CBP-5511

2. Ted Cruz, US Senator, Texas, (512) 916-5834

3. John Cornyn, US Senator, Texas, (512) 469-6034

4. Greg Abbott, Governor of Texas (running for re-election), (512) 463-1782

5. Dan Patrick, Lieutenant Governor of Texas (running for re-election), (512) 463-0001

6. White House Comment Line, (202) 456-6213

7. Dawn Buckingham, Texas Land Commissioner (running for re-election), (512) 463-5001

If you don't live in Texas, it's still worth calling your senators and US representatives asking them to use their influence to put a stop to this madness. After all, Big Bend National Park belongs to all of us.

I need guidance on how to stay positive when I am sensing flashes of horrific climate change destruction.

I try to turn away from it for my health, as there is not much I can do, but I guess I want to know how the more experienced seers process this without feeling tired afterward.

I try not to talk about what I see or sense for the time being.
