I have had similar issues, especially towards the end of 2020 and now through 2021.
My dreams and visions were coming quite frequently from 2017-2020 and then I got to the third quarter of 2020 and they just stopped.
I was previously getting a mixture of dreams and visions about the future and my own life, but now I am just getting intuition mostly. I also know if I am too emotionally attached to something I am blocking it. It's better if I let go and have no emotional attachment and the information I receive is much more free flowing. I think this is where lately the stuff I've been getting has been more about other people because I'm not obsessing and blocking the energy as much and it just flows more freely.
The way I'm getting things right now are thoughts. I get a thought and I think it is just a random thought of mine that I have created, but it then turns out to be a piece of information that was key about something. Sometimes I will say it in conversation (what I'm thinking) to a person and it makes more sense to them than to me. I only know that when the person I've said it to understands the key information I've said. Often I'm not aware I'm even saying anything 'key' and it is normally by accident.
I am used to doing card readings with angel cards as well for myself and family but these lately have been less reliable, and it does definitely seem like there is a weird push to learn how to use other methods to be able to develop our intuition, I guess this is to further develop our senses more spiritually which is what @jeanne-mayell is saying.

I really like this topic! I have noticed that there is an ebb and flow of how much information I get. Sometimes I don’t get anything and sometimes things come one after another and I have to try to remember it all long enough to write it down. Once I accepted that this is how it works, I no longer get stressed about not always getting something when I meditate. Things/thoughts seem to appear when you or someone around you most need them and trying to force it is counterproductive.
I wondered about that @baba. There are cycles to everything in life. A time of rest, now, after a time of disruption? Not something to be so concerned about, but to be grateful for, because surely a time of information flow from Spirit will return, when we are most in need of it. Perhaps Spirit is focused on working out the things we were informed would occur.
When have a question and throw cards, I have to be aware of what I was actually feeling and thinking when I pulled the card, rather than the question I was consciously asking. The card is going to address that underlying feeling and thought, not necessarily the wording of the question.
The importance of being mindfully aware of your underlying thoughts is especially important when someone else asks the question. I may be hearing their question, but I have to be mindful of what I was feeling and thinking when I pulled the card because my feelings and thoughts will drive that card choice.
One thing Spirit told me many years ago at my very first experience with a deep trance reading, long before I ended up doing trance myself, was that for the Readee, the best, most important question to ask in a reading is "Do you have any messages for me." Asking that in any type of Reading, even, no especially when one is reading for oneself, means that Spirit is able, with your permission, to give you information you may not have realized you needed. For the Reader it allows the same kind of thing Jeanne was saying above—the space to stay clear of distractions and underlying thoughts when opening to Spirit. I often visualize it as clearing a circle in a pool of soap suds or like Mary in The Secret Garden, clearing the weeds around new growth so there is a circle of space for the plant to "breath." Sometimes Spirit has things to tell us that we would never think to ask about, and asking if there "are any messages for me" opens the door. All this, of course, with whatever visual/process you use for protection before opening to the etheric.
I was unexpectedly offered an ongoing, remote editing job a while back, with an archeology firm in New Jersey, and so I rarely have time anymore to read the forum let alone jump into the forum discussions. At 71, even working remotely & part-time (!) this adventure is kicking my you-know-what after not having a "deadline and deliverables" job for years. ? So I check in now and then as I can. This thread, and particularly Jeanne's post above, really drew me in and wrapped around me with its truth.
