@elaineg. Trump did not win the ratings.   More people watched Biden.

https://tvline.com/2020/10/16/tv-ratings-biden-trump-competing-town-halls/#!

Biden 13.9 viewers with a 3.0 rating

Trump 13.1 viewers with a 2.1 rating

Ratings are indisputable and carefully calculated.

I use online streaming (att.tv) to watch television channels. I wonder if that is included in the ratings?

Neilsen does rate streaming shows but according to this article, they have to be streaming on a television screen. https://www.latimes.com/entertainment-arts/business/story/2020-09-03/nielsen-launches-weekly-top-10-list-of-most-popular-shows-on-streaming-platforms

I’m not watching the debate, either. I don’t want to aggravate the PTSD caused by the past four years. I already know it’s going to be awful.

@jeanne-mayell

"I can't imagine Trump being muted ever." ?

I can!

There's a hilarious line from Planes, Trains and Automobiles, where Martin tells Candy, "It's like going on a date with a Chatty Cathy doll. I expect you have a little string on your chest, you know, that I pull out and have to snap back! Except I wouldn't pull it out and snap it back, you would! Agh, agh, agh!!"

That's Twitler.

I stayed up and watched this in the UK - I think it was 2-3am.

Hopefully my feeling and intuition is correct, but I really feel Biden genuinely wants to be a firm but fair President. I could really sense that this man could see so much needed to be done to make things right and better. He might not be perfect, but I feel he genuinely cares a lot more about the more important things than Trump does. That and having an excellent team, especially a vp like Kamala, really helps.

Trump on the other hand, looked like a petulant child who couldn't wait for his turn or cope with the truth bombs that Biden was laying out one after another.

The biggest give away was at the end when Biden walked over to the host and Trump stood by looking defeated, angry, and jealous. The way he exited with Melania was further proof of that - he was raging and wanted to get off stage.

Trump has deep rooted issues. I think and could be wrong, that this stems from his childhood and his relationship with his father. Maybe his father didn't show him enough love and support, so Trump is always over compensating and trying to prove something...? It is like a irrational emotional insecurity that he has never dealt with and this is shown through his behaviour. Either way, daddy issues or not, he is unfit to be President, and his treatment of women is a disgrace.
