I just heard Tom Rogers on Morning Joe explaining that it’s about more than Biden winning. He thinks Trump is going to have the election thrown to Congress by installing his own slate of electors in the electoral college. Maybe that is the confusion that has been seen around this election?Â

I was just getting ready to post that Newsweek article when your post came up. Messing with mail-in voting and the USPS is only a piece of the problem. There is a method to the madness. It might very well be the confusion that many of us have seen. Â
@lowtide, That's how House Speaker Sedgewick stole the 1870 Tilden/Hayes election. I don't see that happening this time because Republican leadership wants Trump gone just as much as many of us do. I don't see them signing on for four more years of chaos.
Messing with mail-in voting and the USPS is only a piece of the problem.
In Houston, which usually votes blue, and is the 4th largest city in the US- the Texas Dept. of Public Safety is only seeing people by appointment. The soonest that anyone can get an appointment with them is 5 months(!) from now. Texas has strict Voter ID laws, and of course, the only place to get a license or other acceptable ID is...the DPS. This means that anyone in Houston that doesn't already have an ID is disenfranchised from voting in the election which is only 2 1/2 months away.
Point of interest since we're talking about Texas----
On the anniversary of my dad's death, I celebrated him like I always do- had a donut, watched Star Wars... that night I had a dream that it was election night. Biden won Texas and it was all over, Biden won the election. Dad was there- peripherally, but he was there. I think it might have been a sign.
I found this interesting about Voting in Texas. Â Of course, who knows what they will qualify as a reasonable impediment. Not being able to get a state ID sounds like one to me.
Â
- Voters without ID: If you don't have ID and cannot obtain one due to a reasonable impediment, you'll need to sign a sworn statement that there is a reason why you don't have any of the accepted IDs, and present one of the following: certified birth certificate; valid voter registration certificate; or a current utility bill, government check, bank statement or paycheck, or government document with your name and an address. If you meet these requirements and are eligible to vote, you may vote in the election.
OK, just as I mentioned the need to prepare for a natural disaster in a different thread, make sure you understand what is involved to VOTE where you are currently living. Â
Do so NOW!
Do not DELAY. Â
A lot can happen between now and the election. Â Gather your ducks, get them in rows, and HELP you friends gather their ducks too.Â
NASA says a asteroid is headed to our way on Election Day Eve.
I kid you not!
It isn't "armageddon" they say. It is a "small asteroid" they say.
"It's 2020" I say.

While I was meditating this morning, I simply asked how I would feel in January. The answer came softly and clear. Relieved. Which I took to mean Biden will win.
This amped-up bout of anxiety I've been feeling lately will past. I feel Trump will not make things easy this November but like his business his attempt to quell turn out will fail and he will lose. Â
This is something.
It points once again to WHY Biden needed to be the DEM candidate I think.
Jeff Flake is leading a group more that 2 dozen former republican congressmen who oppose Trump.
"Governing is hard. Democracy is hard. Decency shouldn't be that hard, but apparently it is," Flake said. "You know what is easy? Name-calling. Demagoguery. The politics of vengeance is easy. Dehumanization requires very little talent. By raging at each other, our minds vacant of reason and reeling with ill will and tin-foil-hat conspiracy theories, we've given in to the horrible tribal impulse to mistake our opponents for our enemies."
Flake said Biden is a man with whom he will disagree, but will "stop the chaos and reverse the damage."
Tonight I scrolled through the fb pages of former students and occasional clients. Many are promoting T as a light worker, because he is working for the people and stopping human trafficking. Yes, my head explodes, I don’t get it. Q seems obvious to me. And then I read that Richard Spencer of Unite the Right is supporting Biden because he doesn’t like losers and is disgusted with T’s assassination of the Iranian and the bombing of Syria. ?

An asteroid. On my birthday/Day of the Dead. How apropos. Too bad it's only 6 feet long...
@lovendures I'm glad my dad told me to get a passport card id along with my passport in 2016 before T, since my drivers license expired in May and I have no idea when I'll get it renewed.Â
@writerjenny 8:22 eastern on election night we'll see if your dream comes to pass, I pray it does.Â
@dolphinspirit I feel like some of it is coming from a woman who channels Matthew. Her son died in the 70s and later started channeling him she says. She has written a ton of books and has a website- I used to read her blog sometimes but she started talking about how Trump and Putin are the good guys and I just can't. Lots of conspiracies.
