I feel as though change will come only when Democrats take the Executive and Legislative branches of government, since they will have a renewed mandate to change the structure of government, judiciary, and electoral process that is fair for everyone.

@allyn I feel you on that as I reside in Majorie Taylor Greene land... I keeping giving thanks for the Light... I believe with all my heart... this month and these "players in the game" are being brought out fully so that they are known.... all of them.... and then the disinfection of the Light will cleanse them out of office and governing...at any level.  yes? I feel discouraged and disheartened.... so I give myself a break from all of the news.... focus on doing the kind and good things I can do in my area and speak the Truth every chance I get to all who will hear it.   Every storm runs out of rain eventually.... all bleeding stops... eventually... we will come out of this.... eventually.

@allyn 100,000 times this!   I'm  shaken that the evil is so brazen and is so constantly and shamelessly rewarded!  We're all in a dark place unfortunately but we're with you.

And yet, whatever happens between now and next year, and despite the Supreme Court essentially making the US a benign police state, I can't help but recall, "Be careful what you wish for, lest it come true."   Does it make it any easier in the moment, no.  The impacts, whatever they are, will be felt less by people here, and considerably more if you're in a red state, holding down a beach ball in a pool, eventually, tomorrow, next week, next year, next century, a few centuries from now, that beach ball is coming up. The harder it's held down, the longer it's held down, the higher it will go.   

As an outsider looking in, to quote Churchill, if you're going through hell, keep going.  

Oddly calm.  

Now that the SC (in)Justices have made this ruling, what is to stop Biden from ordering the IRS to do a full audit of the Fascist 6. And the Donald. And Mitch McConnel? (can't forget him!).

 And what is stopping him from expanding the Court, by executive order?  Seems like they just gave him the green light!

 I know Biden is not a mean man, but he could do a lot of good with his new powers.  I'm not asking him to take Clearance Sale Thomas out to the shed and beat the black out of his...     robe.  But he could hold him down and let Anita Hill do it.*

If the Democrats take the presidency and Congress, they can pass new laws and expand the court.  I'm holding out for that.  What's happening now may even help Biden get re-elected - if he remains the candidate or even if he doesn't, then whoever is the candidate.  My new motto:

VOTE BLUE NO MATTER WHO!

That's what I'm manifesting from this ruling.

American voters need to understand the November 2024 election is literally a binary choice between democracy or dictatorship.

Perhaps it is all going down like this to stir up our hearts and make indifferent folks awaken. Every day we see corruption and injustice, but look closer. See our spirit, our goodness, our decency. The light is stronger than the dark. Joe Biden is a light bearer. Believe in him and his light.

Feel the founders, John Lewis, John McCain, RBG. They are with us. We are powerful. Even with the deck stacked against the light the dark will not win.

Hear the words of MLK. Read the poetry of Amanda Gormand. Cling to your loved ones, lift up the hopeless, lead the way for the lost.

WE The People will not bow to tyrants. This is our country too. It may seem hopeless now, but we will have a victory, many victories upcoming.

And to all who are feeling discouraged and anxious I see you and send my light and my love. You are not alone. Remember you are resilient and our country is too. Feed the light. Starve the darkness.

They want you to give up and despair. Don't. Don't let them take you down or lose focus. Shine your light  no matter what happens.
