I have been wondering since Pelosi announced the investigation whether Dan Coats and/or Sue Gordon are going to be caught up in this in some way.
@rosieheart, I'd really thought that either Coats or Gordon was the whistleblower. But it doesn't sound like it. I'm sure they both know a lot, and sense that they will testify when asked. I guess we'll find out soon enough. Things are moving fast.
@triciact, I'm not sensing that Biden will be the nominee. Beyond that, I can't get a good reading for POTUS.
Breaking news on CNN:
Claim by U.S Special Envoy Kurt Volker in his closed door Congressional testimony Thursday about Trump and Ukraine--
Volker: Trump said Ukraine 'tried to take me down' and was influenced by negative information from Giuliani. https://www.cnn.com/2019/10/04/politics/volker-ukraine-statement-trump/index.html
I like Woodward's idea, stated in an earlier post: 'Woodward thinks that the inquiry needs to expand far beyond that.' But I'm not confident the corporate Dems under Pelosi et al can really pull this off, and I've also read predictions here that Trump would not be impeached.
Now that it's happening, are there any predictions about how it might work out? He really does seem to be digging himself into a deep hole, but then there's the Dems and this idea of inciting a civil war....
Rachel Madow on Pence Defense
If Mike Pence's defense is that he definitely didn't know that Biden had ever come up in the discussions with the Ukraine, I mean, except for his adviser listening on the call,
except for him having access to the transcript of the call,
except for him being given the notes of that call,
except for him being given the notes of that call again,
except for his advisers admitting that, yes, he probably read the notes from the call including that part that's explicitly about Joe Biden --
I mean, apart from his advisers admitting, yes, he might have read that -- but maybe he didn't get it?
That is not the world's strongest defense. But that is what the vice president is leading with.

I have been reading these posts with much interest. I am so grateful for this site! Here’s my two cents, arrived via my reaction to reading recent posts, along with messages and feelings I have been getting while in a light trance.
1) I have long felt the the current occupier of the White House is “going down”. I see him actually falling down in his private quarters due to a stroke or something of that sort. Like many others on this site, I see him just kind of fading away after that
2)“Pence is gone”: I get a very strong feeling that he is “gone”. I see him walking out of the oval office, leaving a muddy stain behind him. I’m not sure what will happen to him. I see him behind bars, but the picture is dim. It might just be a prison of his own making.
3 ) Will Nancy succeed the orange buffoon? I don’t know. I’ve been trying to get an answer to that question for some time. What I hear and feel is “We don’t know yet” and maybe for a very short time. I see her putting a crown on her head, but it’s heavy and she doesn’t want it. She immediately gives it to someone else.
4) Will there be a Democratic president in 2021? “There is no other way.”
5) I have long had a vision about Jared coming to a very bad end, although I don’t think it happens for a long time.
6) Will democracy survive? I get an immediate and emphatic “Yes”.
@lilinoe Enjoyed your predictions! Thanks.
I have also seen T taking a bad fall, coinciding with his political fall. Have seen it repeatedly.
@lilinoe, thanks for posting your impressions. I agree with a lot of what you've shared. I'm not seeing a physical fall, as much as I'm seeing an unraveling, both mental and physical. But physically I'm not sure what that looks like. I just keep seeing that deflated T. balloon at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade. It manages to barely stay up, mostly being buoyed by the outside wind. If the wind stops blowing, the deflated balloon hits the ground. There are lots of people around, but no one is really paying attention to it. I can't see who is holding the string.
I'm also really struck by what you said about Pelosi. I totally agree. My husband and I were discussing her yesterday, and I said something like "Nancy doesn't want that job -- she doesn't want to be President. She likes what she's doing. She'll only do it if she absolutely has to." I love your image of the heavy crown.
It is interesting there have been press reports that Trump is afraid of falling down stairs. I see it as a metaphor of a personal, political and financial fall.
Actually, since the first year of Mr.T’s presidency, I’ve seen him falling down stone stairs- it’s raining & night time, Melania is standing behind him as he falls. It looks to me as if he’s had some sort of medical incident. December is what I got. I also feel his Presidency is over or very close to being over & he knows it.
