Hi, all...

First post. Have always been intuitive and it seems to be progressing with age, but haven't been able to fine tune it but just wanted to share what I've been "feeling". Can't shake it.

I feel strongly that Dems have been threatened by Trump if they pursue impeachment. Not sure with what but lean toward something horrific that would affect the American people in a very negative way. I can't breathe. Literally struggle to catch my breath as if I've been put in a chokehold. Keep hearing, "I wouldn't if I were you, Nancy. Your choice". Then the image of the young woman of color standing peacefully but defiantly in the roadway, feet firmly planted as she's being rushed by police/soldiers in riot gear in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

They're waiting for us. Deliberately trying to send us over the edge so they can react.

Just thought I'd share.

Hi deetoo, interesting what you said about the energy.  I was just watching the late Wayne Dyer on the Hay House summit (free for another week or so) and he was talking about TV being an "energy system" and what we tune into or think about being an "energy system".   I am viewing this mess not so much as anger as standing up for truth, justice and fairness.   It's kind of like correcting a child ... you don't have to be mad at their misdeeds to stand up boldly and correct them.  That's how I view our voices pushing for correcting the balance in government -- we're correcting lies, not necessarily being angry.   I guess that's the way I view the court system (as imagined), as a calm, fair way to correct things.

I hear you -- I'm a younger boomer too.  I was a young lawyer during the Hill hearings and they made a mark on my psyche.

It seems like every 30-40 yrs we must have a horrible thing happen to bring us together and get back on track. Civil war, WWI, WWII, the Depression.  I'm afraid this is one of those times too.

Copper, I have thought that as well and it's probably true about the threats.  But I do feel they need to be bolder and get more information to the public.   We're facing a lot of obstacles to a free and fair election in 2020 and I don't see a way out of this that doesn't involve some really icky stuff.   I don't want to see us slip over the edge and the House is really our only source of power at the federal level now.

I still believe our Dems need to take a harder stance.  They’ve found Barr in contempt of Congress, then nothing, no punishment, nothing.

I agree Robin.  I just hope they realize it's their best option among many bad options.

What's interesting to me is how many former Rs (now indys) are telling Ds to take a harder stance, like Nicolle Wallace, Rick Wilson, etc.  Those guys are good at political messaging and think it's not only the right thing to do but the politically smart thing to do to reach indys.

MB,

Thanks for helping me clarify what I am feeling.  I too want truth, justice and fairness.  I think my anger really comes about with some of the Dems’ reticence to act boldly.   And I agree that as a country we often need to be shocked into getting us back on track.  Will we ever learn?

Copper, thanks for posting.  When I read what you had intuited, I got chills.   I agree  that the Dems have been threatened.  But it feels murky when I ask if the threat is serious.  Almost like, if they call his bluff, will he really do what he is threatening?  My answer is, "only if it's politically advantageous for him to do so."   But I also heard, "he is a wild card."  I sense that out of fear or anger he could impulsively do it, then try to clumsily pull it back or lie about it.  The frightening thing is, ultimately he doesn't care about the country.

Please consider sending a message to Speaker Pelosi and telling her what you want her to about Mueller, Trump, Barr or whatever's on your mind.  Here's the make contact address for the Speaker of the House:   https://www.speaker.gov/contact/   She accepts messages from anyone who fills in all the required personal information blanks.

I'm in the impeachment camp. Stopping Trump's lawlessnes and disrespect of our constitution is the most important task at hand. I understand about the risk to the 2020 election and about impeachment playing into Trump's hand, but so be it.  By the way, have  you seen Tom Steyer's latest ad, begging congress to take action and to impeach Trump?

Anyway, this is the message I sent to Speaker Pelosi today.  I doubt she reads or even sees this stuff, but some administrator has to be counting up the requests to impeach and everything else that comes her way.

RE: PLEASE IMPEACH TRUMP

There HAS to be a consequence for Trump's lawlessness and for his refusal to respect our constitution or play by the rules. Impeach the MF. Impeach Bill Barf, too, if you can. The 2020 election will take care of itself. Trust me, there are enough of us sane and disgusted ones who will vote blue no matter how this plays out and no matter how much Trump and gang whine about it.

You cannot let this go. Do something. This is the only thing left.

Sincerely,

I am disgusted, frustrated, and so angry. I have been going to the darkest of thoughts and wishes. I wrote Pelosi today. If they don’t impeach, they are part of the problem.
