Pelosi also told him if you really want to bring our troops home then why are you sending them to Saudi Arabia? Trump responded that "Saudi is paying for them" This is a link from CNN

All roads lead to Putin!
Fun article, nothing predictive, intuitive or even really political:
What Art Historians See in That Picture
I found it fun to read as I imagined that I was reading it 100 years from now.
They replayed the spot where Nancy Pelosi was saying trump had a meltdown, and I'm pretty sure I saw tears in her eyes.
I just really feel for Nancy right now. It has been quite a week.
First- the stress of this whole thing in general.
Second -her brother died this weekend.
Third- she went with a 9 member delegation on a surprise trip to Jordan this weekend where they discussed Middle East peace and Syria with members of the country's royal family "We expressed our continued appreciation for the strategic partnership between the U.S. and Jordan and engaged in a constructive dialogue on regional stability, counterterrorism, security cooperation, Middle East peace, economic development and other shared challenges," she stated.
This seems to mean she was out of the country when he died.
Forth- Dealing with the fall out from the Trump meeting with her photo/meltdown thing.
Fifth- Cummings death.
Sixth- probably feeling like the weight of the world is on her shoulders. It really is on her shoulders.
Interesting article about that amazing photo of Nancy standing up to Trump. I noticed it mentioned the bust of Benjamin Franklin in the room (the room where it happened, thank you Lin Manuel Miranda). Just a few weeks ago, Jeanne predicted the spirit of Benjamin Franklin would be nearby the action in Washington in April of 2020 as that momentous month unfolds, too. In several readings I’ve done on this crisis in government, I’ve sensed the Founders watching over this madness. Our history is alive with the men and women who created our republic. Time weaves and whirls and the past is not really past, for our present is alive with those who sacrificed and fought to create a more perfect union. They are watching.
P.S.
Here’s a great piece by Ron Chernow about Hamilton in October 18th’s Washington Post. https://www.washingtonpost.com/outlook/2019/10/18/hamilton-pushed-impeachment-powers-trump-is-what-he-had-mind/?arc404=true
So Nancy, “history has its eyes on you.”
You are so very right. Thank you for reminding us of this mission, Nancy Pelosi's own soul's purpose at this point in time as so many others have and will continue to serve during some of the most stressful points in their lives.
I send up a prayer for her strength and perseverance that she might bare this additional pain as well as for those of all families everywhere, who are facing loss and transition in their families. Bless them all and you too, dear heart and all here whose stories and lives we do not know but we sense as being painful, stressful and even exhausting.
May it never be in vain.

Thanks for sharing the link. I read it yesterday and found more than a little light emanating from that very, very, very little man that Hamilton's finger was pointing at.
Made me want to create a tiny stencil and add it to a bill or two and spread the wealth of humor in our lives when juxtaposed to what is otherwise a national tragedy.
I love that Nancy took a bipartisan delegation to the middle east to show our allies that we still have grown ups in our government who know what our obligations are and who our allies are.
I also love it because it will put an actual burr under the heels of the toddler playing with his virtual golf machine. I wouldn't be the least surprised if this is one of those things that ends up making him have another meltdown that helps end his time in office.
I do so feel bad for Nancy for the week she's having. So much pressure. Sending her light and love.
Something's funny here. I got another email asking for a dollar or three. What's funny is she wanted it because the republicans are threatening to take over congress and her position as speaker is on the line.
