Hi, amidst all the doom and gloom. Something uplifting. To take my mind off of the present American situation, I did some thinking about the American South-West, which fascinates me, and my mind wandered back to ancient times there. The old Anzani culture, with its Pueblo's, villages, agriculture, and arts, tragically destroyed by climate change. I picked up an ancient cliff dwelling site, that had a lovely Peublo village nestling under the cliff. I got that the village is from later Indians, but that the site is very old. People have lived there for far longer than the present archeologists think. I was pondering this, and up popped some stuff. It was suggested that if archeologists could look under the present  village, without disturbing it, they would get a big surprise. (The present village is abandoned) there are sacred remains there, and stuff that is far older than present American archeologists are comfortable with. A mystery awaits discovery. I specifically saw that there might be several layers of remains. Someone should tell the local indians. I got the "Presence" of some old Indians, when i wrote this, all grinning and sort of cheering me on. Fascinating.

I think archaeologists are already "on the case", have to look into that a bit more.

In the meantime, here are some enlightening links related to more recent discoveries as to how the Anasazi were able to maintain sustainability in the light of climate change (apparently a megadrought is what led them to leave):

Laura, that is amazing. I had no idea that the archeologists were already on track. But great news. What I saw was that we are going to be seeing stuff, that is even earlier, and that its possibly going back some thousands of years. From when the climate in that area, after the ice age, was actually quite agreeable, and the location much more fertile.

Thanks

Zoron
