@michellepazicni This reminds me of when I was a child and got the typhoid vaccines ( we ran wild in the woods and drank from creeks so my mother insisted our GP give them to us). It was a series of two injections also. They gave them in the forearm between elbow and wrist. I got my first in my left arm. I and my siblings all exhibited a large pone of swelling that was red and very painful to touch that extended from just below the elbow where it was given to the wrist. When we went back for the second one to complete the series... my other siblings chose to get it in their right arm while I chose to get it in the left again.."because its already sore and hurts.. let me keep one good arm!" My reasoning/intuition proved true because a week later.. my left arm was fine while my siblings experienced the same reaction in their right arms and thus had 2 sore arms for weeks longer.
My advice would be to sit quietly with your self and your body and ask " where should this second vaccine go? left or right?"
@michellepazicni I have heard of a few folks with swollen lymph nodes after dose 2, for sure. The good news is that it should resolve in a day or two. Hope you are feeling back to normal soon!
Yes, after my second dose of Pfizer, my lymph nodes were so swollen that I spent a day in bed with my are on a pillow because it was too painful to lower my arm. It passed in a day.
For anyone who is experiencing long haul Covid : https://www.thv11.com/article/news/health/coronavirus/arkansas-researchers-possible-cause-long-lasting-covid-19-symptoms/91-9c719c51-2336-4699-bb0f-160d44f1df00
This article is fantastic! Very hopeful news for long haulers. Thank you for posting it. It seems very promising and a big potential bright light.
Makes me think we will learn a great of new important information about the human body in general once Covid is no longer a "crisis" virus.
I have made an appointment for a booster of Pfizer tomorrow. It is 5 months to the day since my second dose. I am thinking to do this now because I have had pneumonia 4 times, once with pleurisy, which ended up with me being hospitalized for three days.
I was told both my lungs are scarred from that and from a terrible severe bout with bronchitis too. I had the bronchitis while also having c diff and a shattered arm requiring surgery (two surgeries, one to put in pins and one seven years later to remove them) and was unbelievably ill for months and months. A lifetime of respiratory/sinus infections, adult onset asthma, and other life long physical GI ailments, have made me high risk for Covid.
While I worry that I may be jumping the gun just a little , I also have concern for myself with having high anxiety and such terrible fear still about Covid. I feel that I will function better with the third jab. I have been researching and some studies are showing declining protection after 4-6 months. I am going to confer with the pharmacist and if they feel it is too early for the booster for me then I will reschedule. Someone here on the forum wrote about getting the booster and I read that Pres. Biden is going to allow it starting 9/20 I think?
I want to attend the show my daughter is working on. That is two weeks away in early October I can't see myself being able to do this comfortably unless and until I have had the booster. It is very important to me to be able to show up for her.
I hope I am doing the right thing. If anyone has any feeling about this yay or nay I am open to listening. Especially any intuitive feeling.
