@michellepazicni  This reminds me of when I was a child and got the typhoid vaccines ( we ran wild in the woods and drank from creeks so my mother insisted our GP give them to us). It was a series of two injections also. They gave them in the forearm between elbow and wrist. I got my first in my left arm. I and my siblings all exhibited a large pone of swelling that was red and very painful to touch that extended from just below the elbow where it was given to the wrist. When we went back for the second one to complete the series... my other siblings chose to get it in their right arm while I chose to get it in the left again.."because its already sore and hurts.. let me keep one good arm!"  My reasoning/intuition proved true because a week later.. my left arm was fine while my siblings experienced the same reaction in their right arms and thus had 2 sore arms for weeks longer.

My advice would be to sit quietly with your self and your body and ask " where should this second vaccine go? left or right?"

I'm assuming swollen lymph nodes are common after the vax? Wow do my armpits hurt! lol! I got it on my left side, thankfully my arm doesn't hurt as bad, the worst part is the fatigue and swollen painful lymph nodes

@michellepazicni I have heard of a few folks with swollen lymph nodes after dose 2, for sure. The good news is that it should resolve in a day or two. Hope you are feeling back to normal soon!

@cc21 thank you! that's good to know then! I've been on a homeopathic medicine for lymph nodes anyways all year (autoimmune related), so I can't imagine what it would be like if I wasn't on that already!

Yes, after my second dose of Pfizer, my lymph nodes were so swollen that I spent a day in bed with my are on a pillow because it was too painful to lower my arm. It passed in a day.

This article is fantastic!  Very hopeful news for long haulers. Thank you for posting it.  It seems very promising and a big potential bright light.

Makes me think we will learn a great of new important information about the human body in general once Covid is no longer a "crisis" virus.

I have made an appointment for a booster of Pfizer tomorrow. It is 5 months to the day since my second dose. I am thinking to do this now because I have had pneumonia 4 times, once with pleurisy, which ended up with me being hospitalized for three days.

I was told both my lungs are scarred from that and from a terrible severe bout with bronchitis too. I had the bronchitis while also having c diff and a shattered arm requiring surgery (two surgeries, one to put in pins and one seven years later to remove them) and was unbelievably ill for months and months. A lifetime of respiratory/sinus infections, adult onset asthma, and other life long physical GI ailments, have made me high risk for Covid.

While I worry that I may be jumping the gun just a little , I also have concern for myself with having high anxiety and such terrible fear still about Covid. I feel that I will function better with the third jab. I have been researching and some studies are showing declining protection after 4-6 months. I am going to confer with the pharmacist and if they feel it is too early for the booster for me then I will reschedule. Someone here on the forum wrote about getting the booster and I read that Pres. Biden is going to allow it starting 9/20 I think?

I want to attend the show my daughter is working on. That is two weeks away in early October I can't see myself being able to do this comfortably unless and until I have had the booster. It is very important to me to be able to show up for her.

I hope I am doing the right thing. If anyone has any feeling about this yay or nay I am open to listening. Especially any intuitive feeling.

Well the pharmacist sent me packing. I don't have cancer and I am not immunocompromised enough.

He said 8 months. That sounds way too long to me...but we'll see.

@ghandigirl do you have a doctor that can vouch for your immune and risk issues? My doctor told me to get the third and I confidently told the pharmacist. I have a friend flying into Idaho who is a cancer survivor, I believe I talked her into getting one before she goes. There might be another pharmacy available. FYI my third was at five months, but it’s not a booster, it’s part of the protocol for at risk. I wish you good health.

In my area, a number of pharmacists are giving the shot without many qualms as long as the patient signs the form. You might try other pharmacies.

The FDA has voted boosters are not going to be for the general public at this time. I’m super bummed

WOW!

Kinda stunned actually.

A Food and Drug Administration advisory panel voted against a Covid-19 booster for the general population Friday, a decision that could put the agency at odds with Biden administration officials who have been pushing to begin giving out booster shots to healthy adults as soon as next week.

Apparently they may target older people only and those with health conditions instead.  It is not clear right now.

They have now voted 100% under EUA that those over 65 and some with high risk can get the booster

@lovendures  I am still waiting to hear about when J&J would need another injection. So far 6-8 months is the idea...is still strong protection and that given another one? boosts immunity by 28% a really good ratio. I am hoping one will be available the end of November first of December for me.

Hello all....I was wondering how easy it is to get an antibodies test where you live. I have had a "finger stick" 15 minute test at a Kroger pharmacy a few months ago and it did show an antibody reaction but the pharmacist cautioned that it really doesn't tell how strong the response is. I've had two Moderna shots. Doctors don't want to order lab tests unless there's a compelling reason.

I have a friend who had a transplant late last year.  He has now had three Pfizer vaccines and just this week his antibodies test (blood draw from the arm at a lab) came back negative for antibodies.  He is on strong immune suppressing medication to prevent organ rejection. His transplant team say he should live like he is not vaccinated but said it's also possible that T cells and B cells could offer some immunity to Covid but there's no way to test for that.

Just curious if anyone else has been checked.

@jessi1978 Interesting.  I'm trying to understand why our doctors here are reluctant to order them. Thank you for your response!
