I watched a video this morning of some Twitler-supporting morans who were saying that they don't believe the virus is real; that Democrats created it and sprinkled it around, and they were wearing shirts that said In God we Trump.

Unreal.

that’s because he said in one of his rallies that it was a hoax created by the Democrats and media to make him look bad.

To see the biggest hoax ever all he has to do is look in a mirror.

Trumpists write that the coronavirus is designed to "make Trump look bad."

I don't understand why they think a virus' existence affects orangey's reputation.  It seems they think he is deity-like, and the state of humanity equals his job performance review.

they can say what they wish.... Georgia is as red a state as there comes.. .and ..it's here...as is the muzzled CDC.  That being said... they are desperate .. and will say anything to protect their Fearless Leader" aka Impotus. Being that he, and many of his inner circle  - Moscow Mitch, Mike Pompouseo, Billygoat Barr and more.. are in the 60 + old white men range... wouldn't it be ironic if Karma kissed them with Corvid 19.

His rallies are going to be the new epic center. They all think it’s fake news. When they get it what are they going to say then? They can’t just yell fake virus and leave or maybe they will. Other cult leaders have killed there followers or made them believe that it’s better to die. T is going to kill his cult leaders with this new virus.

I couldn't agree more. However, a lot of his supporters know it's not fake news. A lot of the attendees of his rallies are actually brought in. Part of it is gas lighting. Some of that gas lighting is actually done TO the Orange nightmare to keep him feeling loved by those who are using him in the GOP.  Many of the poll numbers are fake (my psychic opinion) and unless much is done to prevent dems from voting we will have a large turnout turning the senate blue. Which in some ways will be more important than who becomes POTUS since, if by extreme cheating, he was re-elected, he would be impeached within months.  Someone I listen to on Ytube predicted that T would even get the virus if he continues his rallies. She didn't see him dying from it - just getting it.

Also, I Don't put it past the Orange nightmare dictator to try to stop the election by using the virus.

Just saw Pence may have been exposed:

https://finance.yahoo.com/news/mike-pence-may-exposed-coronavirus-183240054.html

They are saying he didn't come into contact with the infected student, but considering what we know about asymptomatic transmission and long incubation periods, I'm not sure he should rest easy.

All I can say is, 2020 is a wild ride -- and we're only 64 days in!

I have seen the post for his rallies. I have always said it. It would be better to see him squirm if he gets rejected but the house turns blue. I would love to see his face and especially the turtles power withering and dying.

I don't remember if I posted about this before, so excuse me if I did and I'm not remembering...

The other morning I woke up with a message, or a kind of knowing, that it is entirely possible that many of us around the world have already had COVID-19 and we just didn't know it.

Here is my reasoning, and this is all based on personal conjecture and observation, as a person who has followed developments in immunology and epidemiology closely over the years/who worked in healthcare (so please don't ask me for sources as there aren't any):

  • I and many of my age peers (over 50) have been sick on and off since late November or early December. This is the sickest many of us have been in many years.
  • Several of these peers got viral pneumonia that turned into bacterial pneumonia, which was hard to treat.
  • We all had the same symptoms: fever, fatigue, dry cough. Many of us had exacerbations of asthma and COPD. Many of us still have the cough and asthma.
  • We all got flu shots and all tested negative for flu, additionally most of us have had the pneumonia vaccine.
  • This coronavirus originated in China (as most do), probably earlier than reported, but let's put it in October as a likely time of animal-to-human crossover.
  • It wasn't on anyone's radar til after the holidays, which means lots of travel, especially holiday travel, occurred worldwide.
  • It's a strong possibility that COVID-19 was being widely circulated before anyone knew about its existence.
  • This would account for having community transmission cases where no travel has occurred. Someone, somewhere, did travel, but it will take time to figure out who/where Patient Zero went (and eventually they will - if they can do it for AIDS they can do it for this).
  • The fact that we're seeing exponential increase of new cases around the world (although in China it has actually started to decrease - you can check that on the Hopkins dashboard), can be accounted for by the implementation of testing.
  • So now I wonder - if we ALL got tested for COVID-19 antibodies - how many of us would be positive? How many of us had this, recovered or are recovering, but no one knew what to look for? Just 2 weeks ago I was still sick and got a chest x-ray (clear) as a precaution by the doctor.

Food for thought....

I, too, have pondered and wondered about that. Many in my area had a really severe respiratory virus that lasted for about 3 weeks back in November/December... that little dry hacking cough that did not want to go away...with severe headache and high fever (mine was 103.4 - I always run a really hi temp when sick) and yes fatigue..that lasted for about two weeks after the fever broke...and a full 4 weeks before back to ourselves. We passed it amongst ourselves at the clinic I work at. I have already seen corona virus antibodies in previous bloodwork for auto-immune and infectious disease labs. There are several kinds of corona virus... COVID-19 is a novel virus, an emergent new strain of corona virus. We vaccinated for years with a live vaccine for canine corona virus - which had two types.. the upper respiratory one and the GI variation. We were having the discussion at work the other day about the fact that we may have already had and healed from COVID-19. It is a matter of speculation and food for thought... .and.. would be interesting to find out about .

My husband and I saved up and pre-paid 8-9 mos. ago for a resort vacation near cancun for the end of April this year. We have until March 23rd to cancel so we can get most of our money back. I'm hoping by then I have more clarity as to whether to still go on this vacation due to the coronovirus.

We already booked our VIP tix (for the first and last time, because it's our 25th anniversary, usually we just get regular tix) to JazzFest in NoLa for end of April. Flights and hotels are not the problem, but the actual tickets were not insurable anyway, so we're just taking the wait and see approach. I'd hate to lose thousands of dollars because they don't cancel it, but somehow travel gets too restricted for us to go anywhere.

That really resonated with my husband and me.  I'd mentioned earlier that both of us had stubborn viruses that began in mid-December.  Both of us got sick with many of the symptoms you and @journeywithme2 described.  We both eventually developed infections, and had to be put on antibiotics.  In my husband's case, he never seemed to get totally rid of it --  some dry coughing remained and fatigue.  He was convinced that it was the same virus that never completely went away.  His doctor disagreed, stating that he just "caught something else."

The bug we got 2 weeks ago was the flu (Influenza A) -- his symptoms much worse than mine.  He had gotten the flu shot; I had not.  However, there is no explanation as to what we had from mid-December through early February.

Many people we know have had these stubborn bugs with coughs that have lingered on.  It's all been very strange and beyond explanation.

@triciact if it helps at all, I am currently in Puerto Vallarta on the Mexican Pacific Coast where I have been since December. Mexico has 4 cases but they are in Chiapas and Michocoan, nowhere near Riveria Maya, where you plan to be.  There is little talk about the virus here, at this moment & hand sanitizers and wipes are readily available. They don’t sell the brand Tylenol here, just in case you are looking to add something to fight a fever to your travel kit.

No one wearing masks except at the airport in Mexico City & even then, they were the security guards at the transit gates.
