Update.

More than 34,400 people have been infected with the virus and more than 720 have died.

-The First American (age 60) has died form the virus in Wuhan.

-The Chinese government has issued new regulations to severely punish people who disrupt the epidemic control work. Those who violate the rules will be subject to speedy arrests and sentences, and even the death penalty.

-3 more have tested positive for the virus on the quarantined Diamond Princess Ship bringing the total to 64.

-Chinese researchers investigating the animal origin of the coronavirus outbreak in China have said that the endangered pangolin may be the “missing link” between bats and humans. I did not know what a pangolin was until today.  They look like an aardvark with scales.

And here is something you don't hear everyday:

Getting groceries delivered through Alibaba, the Chinese e-commerce giant, has become a different experience in China since the coronavirus outbreak.

After a Saturday order on Alibaba's grocery site, a message popped up on my phone:

"Hi, I am your deliveryman and my body temperature is normal today. Wearing a mask, I am on my way to deliver your order. Please be ready to receive it at the designated time."

Ohh yeah... One more tidbit is to heat up a bowl of water and salt to the point that it steams, hover over the bowl, and breath in those vapors, and it helps to drape a towel over your head to keep the vapors central to your breathing them in. There's actually a name for this, called "halotherapy", meaning salt therapy. Quick disclosure - I, nor my mother, are doctors and this is not medical advice for treating something as serious as a brand new virus that's currently being researched. Just sharing motherly remedies that, if they work for you, aim to support and clean the body ❤️

Good Sunday morning all. Not making light of the corona virus outbreak...as a career in veterinary medicine has taught me much about zoonoses - there are many strains of corona virus as there are with most others viruses. I actually have corona virus antibodies from back when we vaccinated dogs for a strain of corona virus in our region because it was a live vaccine that we would contact when drawing up the vaccines. This is NOT the human corona virus or other species corona virus. They also mutate and change over time. The flu is being reported as a bigger issue here in the states with a second large wave being reported. Antibiotics do not work on viruses only on opportunistic secondary bacterial infections. Most of us these days do not get enough Vitamin D (work indoors, sunscreen, absorption issues) Good diet and intake of good quality supplemental Vitamin D and C helps, try to get 15 minutes of sunlight daily for your body to make its own) I have always been interested in herbs and spices being used in diet for their taste enhancement as well as many health benefits. I like Hippocrates " Let thy food be thy medicine and thy medicine be thy food" as one of my life guidelines as my many allergies/auto-immune issues prevent me taking a lot pharmaceuticals. Vaccines can be effective...but usually take a good deal of time for safety and efficacy to be known and not everyone can take them. Thus began my study of using the herbs etc for health. When I get Upper respiratory type viruses I make thyme tea ,using either regular thyme or lemon thyme which I grow year round. To take tea : take fresh thyme (about 5-6 sprigs steeped in boiling water for 10-15 minutes in a quart jar then add the juice of a whole lemon and raw honey - local to your area or Manuka. Local is easier to obtain and less costly.) Drink 3-4 cups a day when first signs of illness become apparent. I have not had the flu or upper respiratory since I started this. The last time I had the flu and did this? I was well on the way to recovery on Day 4 from the symptoms start. Not saying it works for everyone..but for those of us with chemical sensitivities and reactions to pharmaceuticals it can be a blessing. I would advise you look up and research thyme tea and it's benefits/risks to evaluate if it would be right for you. Getting plenty of rest and fresh air and sunlight exposure and good diet go a long way in keeping our immune systems functioning at a high level. Washing your hands,(wash your hands wash your hands). not touching your face, nose eyes and limiting time spent in crowded public areas do too ..tho for those with public contact jobs that can be harder. I wish I didn't think this.. but I have thoughts of possible biological warfare agendas - population control and knowing they can get out... think Lyme disease...and now a big issue for many.. Alpha-Gal allergy ( which is a co-infection often found with Lyme disease that causes life-threatening allergic reactions to mammal food items - which is in much more of our foodstuffs than just meat and milk.) Many times in history .. our poor regard and ignorance of healthy ways to live with our environments have caused many pandemics that took out large numbers of populations. My apologies for rambling so..hope this was helpful .

Adding on: does anyone get anything about the hastily thrown up hospitals to deal with the pandemic?  Anyone else get a "feeling" on this one?

Don’t treat anything from Infowars with any seriousness. Better yet, never visit that site. Don’t provide any advertising dollars to that creep Alex Jones. I think he’s worse than the president.

@coyote

agreed... I take everything I see on the internet with a big spoon of salt. TBS? I know that there is biological warfare that has been developed and used for years by our own government against our own  citizens.. so .. it doesn't seem too out there to think the others are too. These were progressions from things like the Tuskegee Experiment and Nazi physicians in the concentration camps that caused the establishment of the Nuremberg Code. Read some of Dr Garth Nicolson's studies and experiences with Gulf War veterans, one of which was his daughter. " In Gulf War veterans that were being evaluated, approximately 45% of hose that were ill had Mycoplasma infection. It was found that the infection was a particular type of Mycoplasma, namely a peculiar species called Mycoplasma fermentans" A family friend who was an Infectious Medicine Specialist before leaving practice afflicted with ALS and recently succumbed to it 2 years ago was very interested in and validated a lot of Dr Nicolson's findings. I see no reason to think that biological warfare is not still being studied, created, escaped, deployed.

There are now 130 cases of the virus on the Diamond Princess. That is a big increase, around 60 new cases.  The Dream World ship which had been in Quarantine in Hong Kong was determined to have no virus cases and all passengers were released from the ship.

As of Sunday night, the government said a total of 40,171 cases have been confirmed and 908 people have died in the country.

The LPGA has  made the decision to cancel the 2020 Honda LPGA Thailand and the 2020 HSBC Women’s World Championship in Singapore.

Kia Motors suspended nearly all production lines at its three South Korea factories today,

Tens of millions of Chinese have gone back to work today after the extended lunar new year break.

A citizen journalist who had been reporting from the epicentre of the coronavirus outbreak has gone missing, prompting claims that the Chinese authorities are silencing another whistleblower.

ASU has canceled this summer’s study abroad programs in China, and nearly all students who were in China this spring have returned to the U.S. in light of concerns about the coronavirus outbreak, university officials say.

just saw a banned Facebook video (messengered to me) about the coronavirus. The doctor said the Chinese are lying their faces off. This disease can have a two week incubation period; they have shut down 2500 miles of the Russian border and have closed all the schools. He feels that we should be banning all travel from China. The Chinese did not report the coronavirus until it had been prevalent for a month.

However, not to worry, Trump has announced that the Chinese told him that heat will kill the coronavirus by April.

I'm not kidding.

@suspira44 I was surprised at the reaction to the epidemic at a small social gathering I attended the other night of mostly physicians and medical professionals. They were very worried about it and not just in China.  I also noticed that the spread of the virus outside of China is starting to escalate.
