The NBA has suspended it's season. One of the players from Utah made a big deal out of "touching" all the mics and tables at a press conference. He has since tested positive and been indefinantly suspended from the league. I think a lot of pro sport, especially those played in closed arenas will either play without fans or not play at all. Of course the sport with their heads stuck firmly up Turds butt, ie pro golf and NASCAR, will take precaustions.
The NCAA tournament committee are concidering postponing the tourney as of this morning. No final decision yet.
I too have cancelled myself. No commnity yoga practice.
It was announced this morning that both the U.S. House and Senate buildings will now be closed to the public until at least April 1.
The show must NOT go on.
Broadway closes for a month.
The Metropolitan Opera until the end of March.
In addition to Broadway the following are now closed in NYC:
The New York Philharmonic
The Met Art Museum
The Met Opera
Also, The LA Philharmonic announced that concerts at Walt Disney Concert Hall were being canceled, and orchestra concerts in Boston, Cleveland, Detroit and Philadelphia were called off.
I have a favor to ask:
My husband and I frequently go to Jazz Fest in NoLa. We went on our honeymoon in 1995, and decided to go this year to celebrate our 25th anniversary in style, we even bought VIP tickets. The Fest organizers and governor of Louisiana are refusing to cancel or postpone. Just yesterday the Fest posted that they are offering discounts to AARP members!! I find this unconscionable.
I think they should cancel altogether. And refund everyone. But if not refund, at least a credit for next year.
Would you all mind helping me out? Please email the organizers via this link and demand cancellation:

I'll give you a sample here, feel free to create your own or amend it as you like:
"I am writing today to ask you to cancel this year's JazzFest. I have friends who are planning to attend, many of whom are considered high risk for Coronavirus infection and won't be able to go even if it goes on. Please look to Italy as an example of what not to do - i.e., prioritize tourism revenue over public health safety, it's short-sighted and selfish. At the very least, if you are unable to cancel or postpone, consider offering a refund or credit to those who legitimately won't be able to travel there. Ignoring the gravity of this pandemic will only end up besmirching the good reputation of Louisiana hospitality."
Thanks everyone.
Laissez les bons temps rouler, mais pas cette année!!

NYC has declared its own state of emergency, this is why everything will close. They are correct.
Disneyland is down. During spring break. Good call.
USA Swimming has cancelled all meets for 30 days.
My son's college is rumored to be considering being closed next week as an extra spring break week, and will go to online classes for at least a week after that. Fingers crossed ... my son was NOT thrilled when I told him I was going to pull Mama Rank and not let him return on Sunday. My daughter's high school district still hasn't made a decision.
My best friend is a teacher at Brookfield, CT schools. They just cancelled schools in Danbury and Brookfield.
