Bird Flu currently found in wild birds being monitored in Ireland, is causing conservation groups to use the words alarming, devastation and unprecedented.

Bird Flu was found in samples of milk found on grocery shelves sold in the U.S.

Are officials alarmed?  Not really.  Maybe?

It's a "finding that does not necessarily suggest a threat to human health but indicates the avian flu virus is more widespread among dairy herds than previously thought, according to two public health officials and a public health expert who was briefed on the issue."

@tybin  Very good.  A proactive move-- something that seems to be scarce lately.

Unsurprisingly, the current administration is exerting unprecedented control over what the CDC can report including in their go their independent flagship scientific medical journal. The MMWR ranks among the most cited health journals in the world. The White House Administration has stalled the release of 3 important bird flu studies for weeks including one where the CDC accidentally (maybe?) released a table of one study because of a glitch on Thursday and immediately had to take it down. That study apparently found a dairy worker likely transferred bird flu to his 2 indoor cats. It has yet to be released.

Today NY closed live poultry markets because of a large outbreak.  Over 22.8 million birds have been affected over the past 30 days in the U.S.. People are even stealing eggs as they are becoming scarce in some areas of the country.
