In the meantime I have taken the liberty to line the lounge and the entire high rise with plants.

Yay!  next, we will fit all the plants with those speaker thingies, and have a Plant Wave symphony!

@unk-p We will be sitting up here at the top of the world, revolving around and around to the music of plants while we capture the carbon and talk about how Louis DeJoy is going to be fired.

Heard from my father that my nephew can speak Cantonese, which my guides told me that he will be fluent in English and Cantonese, but not Mandarin. He is a few months from his third birthday.

My friend Gina sent me this poem today:

Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity.

It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today and creates a vision fop tomorrow.

And this one is from ee Cummings:

I thank You God for most this amazing day
For the leaping greenly spirits of trees
And a blue true dream of sky
And for everything which is natural, which is infinite, which is yes
I who have died am alive again today
And this is the sun's birthday
This is the birth day of life and of love and wings
And of the gay great happening illimitably earth
How should tasting, touching, hearing, seeing, breathing any
Lifted from the no of all nothing
Human merely being doubt unimaginable You?
Now the ears of my ears awake
And now the eyes of my eyes are opened.

After hearing that the three men in the Ardury case were found guilty by the jury, I am feeling that the feminine yang energy will be counteracting the hyper-masculine yin energy. We are going through the phase of matriarchy replacing the hyper-masculine patriarchy.

I think there may a bigger story here, but I found this very interesting, I hope you all do as well.

Scientists confirm Plants use quantum mechanics to perform the most important biological process on earth photosynthesis

This little movie, based on an excerpt from Michael Brooks’ latest book, « At The Edge Of Uncertainty, » describes the quantum mechanical actions behind plant photosynthesis. Includes a glimpse of how a plant absorbs photon energy and converts into its own growth cycle.

Hi Everyone!

I meant to swing by to say Happy New Year earlier, but I've been struggling a lot lately.

Nothing new, just the same old depressions and anxieties as ever but with some added layers for the new year.

Long stories short:

  • My husband is in need of another heart procedure and our insurance co. is fighting him and the doctors on what that procedure should be.
  • We are in the process of selling our house in the city and moving to a completely different area in the suburbs (more MAGAT-y but safer and quieter). We will make enough profit to get a small condo in BC Canada as our vacay home/escape hatch.
  • Our daughter and her BF came down with Omicron over the holidays and we couldn't socialize with them safely. She lost her job in the process.
  • I have been enrolled in a dog trainer certification program however have had to kind of suspend and delay that due to everything else that is going on.

I miss everyone here very much, but I just get too overwhelmed most days. I try my best to engage in self-care but it's difficult to do anything with this pandemic going into its third year.

I will poke around the threads and see what you all have been up to - maybe someone has some insights into whether or not things in the US and world in general will improve soon. I just turned 60 and am realizing that my life is 2/3 over, possibly 3/4, and I may not live to see the Great Turning.

Much love and health and happiness to you all!

@laura-f

Welcome back Laura!  So great tree you here again and thanks for your  update.

Absolutely LOVE the idea you can spend tine in BC Canada!  This is fantastic.  Glad a new opportunity opened up for you to move to a new house not too far from your area either.

I bet you will make a great trainer when the time is finally right.

Sending you a big hug!

You know those stories our parents/grandparents would tell about walking 3 miles uphill both ways in the snow?

Well, during these Covid Times I think some of the experiences  our now younger generation is handling will make those snow stories seem like a cake walk.  And they will not be exaggerations either.

Think about a teen, 20 or 30 something year old currently in the workforce at a grocery store, school, government agency, newsroom, court, hospital, restaurant, shipping business, actor/musician,  travel industry job or student.

Spending just 30 seconds thinking about each one listed should be an eye opening exercise if we are honest.  As much as these times have changed me, I can't begin to imagine how they have change the generations coming behind me. We haven't even mentions the non covid thing they will be dealing with which is the climate crisis.

Walking 3 miles (uphill )in the snow.  Ok, having to walk in the snow to school or a job was not fun at all.    What is going on currently is a way of life for 2 years now. It hasn't been seasonal.
