@unk-p I listened to the Beatles demo of Norwegian Wood that you linked. Your musical knowledge, especially of music that occurred before you were born, never ceases to amaze me. I have never heard that demo. And I will never think of that song in the same way again, thanks to you, and I mean that in the most positive way.

I was in high school when that song came out, and I knew every note, and I understood that John Lennon  did not like the girl in the Norwegian Wood, thought she was vacuous and dead, but you’ve added  a new meaning to it.

Twitter is dead.

Well it was certainly circling the drain. Twittler is back? I thought that was just a nasty rumor.

I doubt it makes it past Christmas...

hummmm, I don't know what to call it when a business names itself after something that is extinct....An ominous harbinger? An epic revival ( https://www.annafineart.com/portfolio/de-extinction-how-to-clone-a-mastodon/)? A quantum leap (all time is simultaneous)?

Given that the Saudis were a major investor behind Musk's purchase and from what I have been reading, Twitter was the most Democratic forum in the social media world, I will stick with the first option. And I will add beastly....

Hmm, thinking of new leadership in DC has this as today's earworm....Just sayin'

We're in puppy mode in this house. Desi's found the basket of toys, and the basket MUST be emptied routinely. I have hard wood floors, but area carpets in every room. Someone went screeching through the house and became like Bambi on ice between the living room, kitchen and hall intersection. Now she won't walk on the bare floors. It's like watching a video game. As long as she keeps one paw on the carpet, she thinks all is well. So now I've raided my stash of old bathroom carpets I keep when they get worn for yard work-they work so well as knee pads for weeding. Now they're all over the house, covering the hardwood. My floors look like a patchwork quilt, which isn't quite my style. Not to mention, that she's not destructive that I've seen, but she does like picking up said rugs and moving them wherever. The same goes for the pillows and throws in the living room. I will sometimes leave open the sliding glass door so they can come and go at will, but then Desi is banging her head on the door, not realizing it's closed. So I put a post-it on the door for her to see. She made that a quick snack. It was purple, maybe she thought it was grape flavored? She's also found the buckets of shells I have in the gardens. My last lab loved to find them on the beach and chew on them. Apparently it's a lab thing, as this one has them all over the house as well. Love puppies.

Popping by to wish everyone a happy holiday season!

I'm going to be taking another online sabbatical, so see y'all in 2023 sometime.

Cheers!

Wishing everyone here who celebrates Thanksgiving a happy one. It's my favorite holiday of the year. No struggle to buy gifts or meet or miss those expectations... just good food, family and friends gathered at the table sharing love, laughter, conversation. Expressing gratitude for all of our many blessings.

I am giving thanks for it all.

LAWRENCE!!!!

My husband & I just finished watching Love in Kilnerry. Thoroughly enjoyable and laugh-out-loud funny. You must have had a blast filming.

"I'm just looking, babe. Just looking!" 🤣

We did; it was really fun!

Also, I have a question-your stretching dvd that you sell...is it good for people with fibromyalgia?

@polarberry

I'm guessing Total Stretch would be good for that.  It's a simple stretching program. Do the parts that feel natural for your body.  Thanks.

That's what I need, an actual program I can follow instead of doing random exercises. I'm ordering it today; I'll let you know how it goes!

@matildagirl Australia put up a good fight. It's a shame to see them go, but I think this was a good tournament for both USA and Australia.
