@ana

Long term teacher, including sub. I enjoyed being a sub. Like any job you have down days and up days.For me, many more up days.

The big advantage is you get to try on different grades and subjects. You get to see classroom set up and curriculum and sometimes you get to help somebody.

Teaching is a challenging enterprise  Subbing tests the waters and helps you define what suits or doesn't suit you.

I wish you the best of luck in whatever you do. :)

@ana regarding your question about whether to be a substitute teacher, a memory popped in my head of Raoul Dahl’s (the celebrated children's author’s)  experience in his autobiography, entitled, “Boy”.

onthe weekends the kidsgot a substitute teacher, and she simply regaled them with stories she told, I think mostly about mythology.  It’s pretty much what he remembered as the brightest moments and the greatest lessons he got while at this prestigious boys boarding school.

I didn't know where to post this. My daughter in Tucson was watching a train going North. She said it was carrying military stuff, including tanks. Where could they be going? Canada? Mexico? I told her maybe they had to go North before turning South. It's scary. trump has extended an Army base on the South border to 174 miles.

@elaineg per 3/4 prediction

  • Something happens in a U.S. desert.  I see military trucks.  It’s mysterious and the public is not informed as to what has actually happened.  (Bluebelle)

The Lorikeets are bringing their crying children so I feel.i have to help the mother keep her sanity with some grapes that they then feed to the child to keep them quite.

We females need to stick together.

They almost look 3D! I'm waiting for them to wink an eye or turn their head.

@matildagirl Do these sound as interesting as they look? They don't look 'shy', but ready to let you know they have arrived.

@seabreeze

Hi Seabreeze

Our birds are quite noisy guys. If you walk past a tree in the early evening that is full of Lorikeets the noise is deafening, they are all talking over each other to get the news of the day in. When a Cockatoo arrives he give a big screech. I get Kookaburras too and they make a lovely laughing sound.

This isn't funny or entertaining, but I didn't know where else to put it to get it in front of as many people as possible. Some of the information they have is not accurate, but most of it is, and it's dangerous to have it out there. I have already completed the removal request process for both myself and my mother.

I couldn't find my information via the search box, but I was able to find it by going through the list of surnames, so if you have difficulty with the search function, try that. Also, I was listed by my full first name and last name, not with my middle initial. Yours may be listed differently.
