@tesseract Yes... same feeling of significance from the beautiful light show... even though I know the scientific reason for it appearing...

PS since I don't know how to start a post in Random Predictions, I'll share this one which hit me yesterday.  I was talking to a friend, whose friend lives in Arizona. We were discussing the election when I saw Arizona turn blue... FL purple/blue... TX purple/blue.

@jeanne-mayell Not your imagination!!!!  Fitting you saw mostly green - the Healing Energy!!! @Freya I too, know the scientific explanation - TBS? Spirit can only work through us and the parameters in which we dwell...  and... it IS unusual for them to be this widespread and clear down to the South and coastal areas!!! Border to border and the width of the nation. I am 70 ish years of age and this is the first time in my lifetime to have seen them... and to see them here??? In my own front yard??? Felt quite illuminating to me 😍

Science, Magic, Mind, Belief, Spirit, all are One and the same, just different languages ❤️

  • I live in Arizona & yes Blue we will be. Here in Tucson there was dancing and joy at a Gallego event last night and I believe Walz was here too as he posted a cool video on Threads. Joy indeed! I am still figuring out how to get urls from Threads for posting. If I figure it out I'll post in the election 2024 thread.

I love that we are all over the world-- all seeing the light show from the heavens.

@jeanne-mayell yes. Unfortunately the size is too large, even as a JPEG.

As one does this time of year,  my thoughts have been turning to: What kind of music to play when i go vote?    It has bothered me that, yet again,  there will be a certain name on the ballot, a stubborn orange stain that just keeps re-appearing (shout out to my man @dannyboy for that metaphor lol).

Really, how many times do we have to just say NO!?  It's like an abusive relationship scenario.  Or a bad case of German cockroaches.  Damn!

Then it hit me: Lucinda Williams. I listened to so many versions of the punk country goddess singing this song, but settled on this loose, slightly stony version from a radio appearance. I even love the way she makes a couple of false starts at the beginning, like people sometimes do in life.  Hope you guys enjoy it, too.  Let us know what you will be listening to on Election Day! :

I Changed The Lock

I changed the lock on my front door so you can't see me anymoreAnd you can't come inside my house, and you can't lie down on my couchI changed the lock on my front door
I changed the number on my phone so you can't call me up at homeAnd you can't say those things to me that make me fall down on my kneesI changed the number on my phone
I changed the kind of car I drive so you can't see me when I go byAnd you can't chase me up the street, and you can't knock me off of my feetI changed the kind of car I drive
I changed the kind of clothes I wear so you can't find me anywhereAnd you can't spot me in a crowd, and you can't call my name out loudI changed the kind of clothes I wear
I changed the tracks underneath the train so you can't find me againAnd you can't trace my path, and you can't hear my laughI changed the tracks underneath the train
I changed the name of this town so you can't follow me downAnd you can't touch me like before, and you can't make me want you moreI changed the name of this town
I changed the lock on my front door, I changed the number on my phoneI changed the kind of car I drive, I changed the kind of clothes I wear
I changed the tracks underneath the train, I changed the name of this townI changed the name of this townI changed the name of this town

@jeanne-mayell I was thinking about the celestial phenomena we’ve been having lately, namely the northern lights and the comet passing over and seen in the night sky. I just wonder if anything about the momentous times we live in have anything to do with them, or if they are signs themselves for what is to come. Any thoughts from you or our astrologers in the forum?

A beautiful story about a family and their special tree.

@ghandigirl (Waving furiously) HI!

I just got back from 3 weeks in New Zealand, which I booked in January just so I could avoid some of the October insanity here.  It was so refreshing to NOT think about the election. In fact, the only time it came up was when a cab driver in Auckland expressed concern and worry for us. I ended up explaining the Electoral College to him in the 15 minute ride, which of course did little to allay his anxiety, but it was so sweet that someone so far away is anti-Mangolini and supportive of efforts to maintain democracy.

@unk-p Thanks, friend. Been struggling with a lot of depression this year, a fair amount of family turmoil, and sometimes the only self-care I can embrace is avoidance of all things in the public sphere, whether IRL or online.
Apologies to all for off-topic reply. As you were.
