@unk-p

I saw CSN perform twice on their own, as well as at 2 No Nukes concerts and the Peace Sunday at the Rose Bowl in the early '80s. I basically grew up on his music and the first five years of my life we lived so close to each other that if  I had actually known him, I could have walked to his house for dinner.

It would be difficult to pick a favorite song, but if I had to, it would be Teach Your Children.

The Byrds were awesome too.

@lovendures Teach Your Children....Helplessly Hoping....Four Dead in Ohio...the soundtrack of my youth.  Loved their harmony...in their voices if not their relationships. Grateful for their music.

I am still lamenting the loss of John Prine and Dan Fogelberg... now David Crosby gone too?

"Our house is a very very fine house, with 2 cats in the yard"

David I hope you get to see your beloved Christine and you both take a ride on a Wooden Boat🎶🎼🎵🎤

CSN is my favorite band. Saw them many times and as solo artists. Also performed many of their songs with friends and bands.  Very grateful for the music.

@journeywithme2

Dan Fogelberg is my favorite  solo artist. Saw him a few times.

We were talking tonight about all these icons passing. As we age we will say goodbye to so many bright lights. How lucky to have walked this earth with them.

Interestingly I sketched a drawing of my little family here based on the lyrics to Our House right before the news broke.

I just wanted you all to know that I am like 85% certain there are no classified documents at my house.  Maybe closer to 90%.  Of course I can't be sure, but if I find any I'll turn them over to the proper authorities right away.  Like Biden did.  And Pence.  But not the other guy.

K-Thanx-Bye!

Need a lift?

I found these choral works by the extraordinarily gifted Christopher Tin emotionally rich and uplifting:

Live at Cadogan Hall--Waloyo Yamoni

and  then Baba Yetu; the Lord's Prayer in Swahili

Happy Valentine's Day!  My husband, a book collector (and an absent minded professor) who always forgets things like V-Day, sheepishly produced a little valentine this morning that he found pressed inside an old book he'd he'd just found at a book drop, the only book he found today. Does anyone remember those big valentine books we'd take to school with us in 3, 4, or 5th grade, with a ton of valentines that you could pull apart and pass around the room to the other kids?  Well, it was one of those, and it's the BEST valentine card I've ever gotten!

@2ndfdl. Got it to post! Isn't it the best?  I was so thrilled with the card that my husband, pleased with himself, went back into his office to play with his books, because he realized he wouldn't need to buy flowers this year. LOL.

That’s great!

Our firstborn was born on Valentine’s Day, at which point my husband and I mutually agreed that we would never bother with Valentine’s Day again. As a busy two-career couple with (eventually) other children, it was all we could do to put together a birthday celebration every year. Priorities! After falling out of the habit, we never fell back in. I don’t miss it.

@jeanne-mayell, that sweet Valentine's card made me smile.  It's a keeper!  Not a coincidence that your husband found the card yesterday and presented it to you.  I think you should put the card in a pretty frame and hang it in a very special place.
