Feeling misjudged is awful, especially because trying to clear up the misperception can sometimes be almost impossible. Sometimes you just have to allow incorrect opinions to be. You don't owe anyone explanations about who you are. People can judge harshly and those judgments can rattle us, but we can't allow ourselves to be manipulated by the thoughts and opinions of others. I know from experience though, that it is painful to have an image of you projected out there that isn't who you are. Again, sometimes letting it just be it the only thing you can do, as painful as that can be.
I'm not a healer, but for whatever its worth I am sending you all my good energy and love. Put one foot in front of the other. The skies will clear.
@anya, I feel your struggle and pray you will get relief from carrying such a heavy burden. I see you feel alone and abandoned. But you were able to reach out here and we are so glad you did. Maybe you can come to the next Circle of Light meditation on Wednesday at 7 pm EDT. We do a loving kindness meditation, as @lovendures mentioned to you earlier. Only we do it together which is more powerful. Whatever you do, I am sending you healing energy and a prayer that you will be released soon from the pain and heaviness you feel.

I am currently in a small area where majority unmasked in many grocers and most restaurants and numbers are quite high. I as well as family at risk so quite difficult to face the selfishness and denial every single day. Many here fairly well off so ...as both a science as well as culture enthusiast am often mystified and uneasy.
Thank you. If stamina returns will give it a try. It’s somewhat like being abandoned, but different. Keep running into the same stuff and all I really want is my body to function well again.
Some md’s and some nurses here also acting in a bizarre fashion. Some I gather are tired but others are jumping on a rumor mill or something, unsure.

@anya You are in a tough situation indeed. I'm lucky that where I live masking in everywhere, and not a big deal. I'm sorry you find yourself in a place where people are allowing ignorance to override even their own self-interests. I'll continue to hold you in my thoughts and in my heart.
I grew up in a very right-wing community and even as a child I was liberal/progressive. I remember the feeling of being completely out of place and misunderstood, and knowing that the folks I was surrounded by just didn't have a clue. Your situation involves your very health and existence, so it's much more serious. Take care of yourself as best you can and know that this community supports you. xoxo

I popped on Facebook tonight for the first time in awhile. I was quite shocked to discover a friend had just posted a Facebook live video from the hospital. She has covid and currently has pretty poor oxygen readings, has difficulty breathing and has both Covid and bacterial pneumonia. ( I didn't realize there was a specific Covid pneumonia). She looks in pretty bad shape and she is scared.
It was shocking to actually see someone I know documenting their hospital Covid journey. Really shocking. I have known her through her first marriage, divorce, second marriage, daughter's wedding and birth of her grandchild. We have shared our family ups and downs.
I then went back to her first live video post from the hospital yesterday where she sounded pretty good and she was upbeat. What a difference a day makes.
Apparently she is one of five members of her family who have recently gotten covid over the past 10 days. This includes her grandchild who is a few months old. Her husband and son have not gotten it so far. She is in the worst shape of anyone else. She had covid in January with her husband, did not want a vaccination and still is ok with that decision. She stated she was still concerned about how it may have effected her in a negative way if she had it.
I haven't seen her since Covid began and we have different views on life and politics but we have respect for each other.
She mentioned she had spent the first few days of her hospital stay in the ER because they had no beds. It is the same ER my daughter was in on Sunday with her head trauma, they missed each other in that department by about a day. The difference is that my daughter spent her time in the hallway waiting for the CT scan and getting examined. Not sure if that was because there were no beds in the ER or if it was to keep her away from Covid as much as possible.
My daughter continues to improve and is in less pain than yesterday which is wonderful. I feel incredibly blessed by all of your concern, prayers and love sent our direction and I'm hopeful she'll continue to heal. I pray she remains Covid free. I am counting down the days on that one for sure.
Please keep Heather in your prayers. May she improve, win her covid battle and return to her family and grand baby. May everyone in her family find good health.
