Update about John.
Surgery went well and ended up being in the middle of the night. They were unable to do surgery on his Colon which is now saved for another day. ( I did not know about the need for colon surgery). He remains sedated and on the vent and his family is hopeful he’ll wake up soon. He has a long road ahead. There is a great deal of gratitude for all the prayers and positive healing energy sent John's way.
When the donor was found, John was in such bad shape he was literally living hour to hour. Thank you for keeping him, his family and the family of the donor in your prayers and thoughts.
Just awoke from a long and detailed dream about going to/living in hell. I have been having strange dreams for several nights now which is unusual in and of itself.
I never think about hell, it is not part of my religion or frame of reference and I do see how strands of things from yesterday contributed.
I have seen visions of Heaven but this was something new. It was a dream though and not a vision.
I will not share the details as I am hoping they fade away. I am believing that this dream was born of anxiety and the news cycle.
Perhaps I am needing to find the Heaven on Earth. Perhaps I should take better care of myself, particularly my heart and my mental health.
I am regrouping now and think this is the lesson. To appreciate each new day and try to be happy and not so sad. To believe things will get better for me and the world. To not get sucked into a vortex of fear and hopelessness.
I am calling upon angels to comfort me and picturing my loved ones in Heaven to reassure me.
Asking angels to comfort and support you. We are living in stressful times, and your dream shows how that stress affects you. I also ask that angels help us all find some comfort and refuge from the media and the divisiveness some have created.
As the holidays approach I feel ever more keenly the loss of my relationship with my daughter. It is very hard and I am so very, very brokenhearted. She remains silent.
Please pray for me and send me whatever comfort and light you can. I feel embarrassed to keep asking, but as time goes on, it feels worse and worse. I am at a loss and don't know how to fix this, and I have trouble moving on. A mother can never turn her back on her child, even if they have done so.
Even more, please pray for her that she will not have unforgiveness in her heart. It's not good for her soul.
@ghandigirl please don't ever feel foolish to ask for a prayer. I will pray that the very best outcome for peace and reconciliation come to you both. At one time I was estranged from my son. It hurt me so much, but I had to protect and care for myself. Each and every day I prayed and asked that spirit touch his heart and mine. Of course I love him, he's my son. But the relationship was very toxic and abusive. Fast forward, many years, much prayer, lots of therapy, and time and maturity that angry young man is now a father himself. His dad wasn't there for us, and was abusive. Now that he has a child he looks at the world through different eyes and vows to break that cycle. I will pray for you and your heart. You are a beautiful soul.

Yikes! My six year old, precious granddaughter tested positive, twice on home tests for COVID. She had her first vaccine about 10 days ago so I hope it confers some protection.
I noticed that she has seemed tired for the past few days and has a runny nose. Fortunately, her mother is a medical professional and knew that a runny nose could be a symptom. I think she will be okay but if any of you have some energy to spare, I would appreciate some sent her way.

Thank you so much; the kindness of those on this forum always impresses me. My granddaughter has a cough and sniffles but otherwise acts normal, according to her mother. Her mother, however, is beginning to cough....
Please continue to be cautious out there; I heard two stories today of people who were tripled vaxed and got COVID. One is in the hospital though not critical. Masks are our important friends right now.

I had not heard about triple vaxxed people being in the hospital. That is not a good situation.
To say I'm stressed right now is an understatement. I was supposed to start receiving Avastin infusions two weeks ago after a pause of 3 months; as you might remember, the Avastin is supposed to inhibit the growth of tumors in my inner ear. But now my neurologist and oncologist want to hold back on the infusions at least until mid-December so that they can discuss with other specialists my case, since they think I may need an invasive surgery to address a tumor on my right inner ear. After several years of progressive growth of that tumor I have mounting hydrocephalus; the surgery could allow fluid to flow more freely from my brain, but I could very well lose the rest of my hearing. The other variable is that the Avastin can cause fatal bleeding with surgery, so once I have an infusion I have to wait at least 6 weeks before I can undergo surgery. The complication here is that the Avastin may not work at all and I may need emergency surgery within 6 weeks of an infusion.
