Thank you all for your kind words and support! It means a lot to me and my daughter.
@ghandigirl – Thank you so much. I slept better last night than I have in a long time. No bad dreams! I hope it stays that way. ...Thank you!
@deetoo – I hope the day you have seen comes soon. Looking back, I see the many red flags of his behavior spanning from the day I met him. It’s all so clear to me now. I think I probably knew it at some point but felt trapped and powerless. It seemed like no one would believe me. ... Thank you for your message of support. It is so meaningful!
@lovendures – I appreciate your prayers and kindness. Thank you for your prayers of protection and guidance. We surely need them right now.
@lynnventura – You are so right about the low level consciousness. ... I welcome your dear mother’s spirit to walk with us. She sounds amazing. Thank you for sending her our way!
@baba – Thank you for sending the angels and good thoughts! ... Thank you for sending good energy our way and I hope it opens something soon!
@raincloud – Thank you for sharing your valuable experience and advice. ....Thank you for your support and encouragement.
@jeanne-mayell – Thank you for your support and for fostering such a fantastic community! We are doing our best to stay grounded right now. ...Thank you for the warm welcome to the community and for the protective energies!
@Tybin - thank you for sending good energy our way! It is actually a relief to finally share the story and acknowledge it for what it is. One thing that I have found in this process is that the story is all too common. It makes me sad and angry that it is so ubiquitous. I hope that when this is all over I am able to help others in the same situation.
You sound resourceful, determined, clever and strong. One tip for the future; staying off the 'location grid' is possible (keeping Jeanne's many caveats in mind) with one exception, in the US anyway, and that is registering to vote.
You are wise not to rely on an order of protection. It will not keep him away, the one advantage is that police are supposed to arrest him if he violates it but arrests can be slow and you could be in danger in the meanwhile, which you know already.
I will picture your house selling and the house happily empty. 😎
I am so glad that deetoo sees a happy future for you. I feel it, too.
@raincloud - Thank you so much. My state has a program to help protect domestic violence survivors by providing them with a substitute address which can be used on state documents, including drivers' licenses, voter registration, etc. When the house sells, my daughter and I will opt in to that program and get our documents updated. :)
- @jeanne-mayell We will hear back tomorrow likely on how his brain is doing. I did hear that he is incredibly breathing on his own all of a sudden. He is still intubated though. Fingers crossed. I’ll be saying more prayers tonight! And if anyone would like to pass a few prayers to my daughter who is 7 who witnessed this I would appreciate it. The parents, including myself who helped rescue him are also experiencing PTSD symptoms. Thank you for all of your prayers for this little boy. Let’s hope for a miracle.
I will send more healing and angels to help reignite and grow back those neural networks that were harmed. I see angels sending electric waves through his brain. I see the possibility that continued nourishment of his brain with physical therapy could get them to grow back. His parents must have hope and a belief that they can bring him back to full function. Read the book My stroke of Insight by Jill Bolt Taylor where a woman grew back a whole side of her brain that had died from a stroke and regained full function. She had been a brain anatomist at Harvard before her stroke which rendered her a vegetable. And she defied conventional medicine and healed herself by forcing her body to relearn the lost functions. She succeeded due to her a caring mother who believed she could do it. It was hard work. but the brain can grow back what is lost with hard work.
Hi family I was away dealing with family issues and I come here reading BusySmilings post and it reinforces what we all know to be true. I too am asking for prayers and protection for my daughter and her children. Her husband who has been out of the house for 6 months is escalating. He has bipolar and has an addiction. He texts and calls her from early am through midnight. They are in the process of divorcing. The problem is that you need so much to prove he shouldn’t take the kids. He’s so irratic. We are all so frightened. The courts feel both parents are integral and I do agree but not when the behavior is so irrational. Please send light and protection to her and the kids. She is trying to get supervised visits but even that is a stretch. I appreciate it and thank you all in advance. @BusySmiling you have my prayers and thoughts also. Thank you.
Some states and cities have wonderful domestic violence agencies, some have weak or non-existent ones. If you haven't already, see if there are resources near you who can help guide you through the process of going to court, getting orders of protection, etc. Many offer free legal advice.
If you become alarmed, seek shelter. Most agencies have a shelter with undisclosed addresses where women and children can stay until partner violence is less threatening.
So sorry you all are dealing with this scary situation.
@raincloud thank you. This is for my daughter and her children. Please send light and peace.
