So, be aware that I am not a known psychic but I felt a "ping" when I read CSF-venous fistula so myย hunch agrees with your hunch. I also strongly feel that you have intuitive knowledge of your body. As a terrible pun I would urge you to keep "plugging.."

ย

ย

@raincloud I like that pun. :)

The fistula is something I suspected for a long time, but I had to get to this point by elimination and trial and error. The UK also only got digital subtraction myelography in the last 2 years, and the USA has had this far longer. This is the gold standard I've heard for looking at leaks in more detail, especially one that has already been found via standard ct myelography (like mine) and this helps to see whether csf leaks associated with meningeal diverticulum for example have connected fistulas (which ct myelography is not as good at seeing/detecting). So the detection of a fistula, really changes the whole treatment approach because it needs something different like microcatheter embolisation instead of blood patching. I was just not able do the digital subtraction myelography first because the hospital I was under did not have this equipment and covid really made the referrals to other hospitals massively delayed and problematic, so I in the new year I intend to ask for a referral to London where they have the digital subtraction myelography and a team of csf leak specialists. This definitely feels right. I feel very optimistic about this., more than anything else in the past.

Hi everyone. I have been doing some good auditions lately that I'm proud of. Just auditioned for a role in a new Billy Crystal TV show for Apple +. I'm in his dream/nightmare. Did a really good audition and asking if you could send me some good energy to book it. They're deciding now. Films early January. Thanks so much.ย

As I have explained before, I have to have rotator cuff surgery, which is apparently one of the most painful surgical procedures ever invented. Well, tomorrow is the big day, and I'm freaking the hell out. Both my mother and my sister have had the surgery, and both of them tell me the post-operative pain is horrible. Even the physician's assistant (PA) for the surgeon told me that it's pretty bad. She suggested a nerve block to be injected after surgery that would last 18-48 hours to give me time to take my pain meds (which I've already picked up) and get ahead of the pain. I was waffling on it until tonight.

The anesthesiologist called me tonight to discuss it, and I explained that the PA told me how long it would last and that not only would I have no feeling in that arm, I would likely not have any motor control in it either, effectively meaning that my arm would be paralyzed for the period that the block is in effect. I told him that part of my reluctance to do that is that I'm highly claustrophobic, and any restriction of my arms will send me into a panic, so not being able to feel or move my arm or hand might well be an issue. He said that the block would actually only last between 4 and 18 hours, which settled my mind about it a bit until...

He told me that patients who don't get the block for medical reasons (excess bleeding or other things) usually have to stay in the hospital for up to three days and that they are literally screaming in pain the whole time. Gee....thanks. I asked him when I should start taking the pain meds to stay ahead of the pain, but he never did answer the question, so I'll have to ask the surgeon tomorrow, and I can only hope that the Percocet they prescribed will be enough.

In any case, what he said coupled with the stories of my mom, my sister, and others who have had this surgery is *not* helping calm my nerves. I am highly anxious, unable to sleep, and if it weren't for the fact that I have to have this done now or I may never be able to for insurance reasons, I would seriously consider calling it off.

I am begging for some peace of mind here, so any prayers, thoughts, light, vibes, long-distance reiki, whatever anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated.

@tgraf66 🙏🏻💜💚💜🙏🏻 ย I had my whole right shoulder rebuilt in 2005. Ruptured bicep tendon,rotator cuff,bone spur and subacromial decompression. I had the nerve block, sling,ice packs and 800 mgs of ibuprofen by mouth every 8 hours as I am allergic to so many meds. I can take morphine but didn't take but one or two. Ibuprofen seemed to work better for me. I slept with my arm propped /supporter by pillows. PT is very important... and somewhat painful at first but not unmanageable. I was able to get 99.9% use back. People have different pain tolerances levels but I truly have had other things that hurt way worse than my shoulder surgery. That nerve block was a good thing for me and I was still able to move my arm when needed.. ie fingers and such.. didn't overdo tho for sure. My shoulder actually hurt me a lot more before it was repaired than it did after. I am sending reiki,Light,Love and Healing Energy.

@tgraf66ย  Your anxiety is understandable. It is a surgery with a painful and long recovery. I would follow the doctor's advice despite your fears. You don't want to end up in the emergency room for pain control. Ask what you can take over the counter for pain, in addition to your prescription. After my knee surgery, I found that ibuprofen did wonders for pain relief.ย

I pray that you will be able to keep the pain under control and that you will be able to manage well over the next few months as you recover. Ice packs will be your best friend for a while. As will physical therapy when the time comes.

All the best and highest healing energies are coming your way! I will be thinking of you and praying for you.
