I took the full test many years ago, and if I remember correctly, I was rated as ISTP or INTP. I've had both of those on the shorter versions of the test the last few times I've taken it, so I'm not sure which was the original one. ;-)
Finally was able to take the test at 16personalities.com
No surprise to me that I am a Mediator INFP-T
I have spent my life mediating, especially when I worked in offices. I was the one they came to, to weep or rejoice. Even though I was as shy as shy could be, haha "introverted" is an understatement (except when writing 🙄), I was the one they "cornered" and asked how to find resolution or more often, complained to — I inevitably encouraged dialogue and affirmations 😉 and sometimes they even followed through. WHY they came to me was (and still is, kind of) a mystery. I was very quiet and did my job (editor/writer/basic computer software trainer) yet somehow they all found their way to my desk, which totally bewildered me, but I tried to listen and occasionally would offer thoughts.
Family-wise, growing up, it was much more subtle. I am the middle sibling of three sisters so hmmmmm. We are very close even though we live thousands of miles apart and only get to see one another rarely. I just spent a week with them (wonderful time overall) and they were having a sort of communication problem re $$ borrowed between them, and of course they each confided in me, separately of course. 😳 It all worked out, eventually, they figured it out. I gave NO advice, I just listened.
I was blessed by being raised in a very loving family. Yes, there were some challenges and traumas, but for us, love was ever enfolding, & still is. Both our parents were Aries (one year and 4 days apart). Eldest sis is Libra (two years two weeks older than I am) I am VERY Libra and our youngest sis is Aries. We were quite the household!
Well, clearly I went off on a tangent, but it was fascinating to see how my life (I am 74) fit INFP-T to a, excuse the expression, T.
