(Part 2)

Criminal investigations into the events of Jan. 6 will continue but go off the radar for several months. New information will appear but then seem to disappear as investigators clamp down the lids on their work to keep it from being compromised. While there will be some noises about possible indictments of officials and other prominent persons related to those events, it will seem that publicly there is little being done. There will actually be a lot happening, but it will be slower and more behind the scenes. Investigators and prosecutors will be working very diligently but quietly to nail down their cases very firmly and concretely before bringing them to the courts. Additional indictments and/or charges may be delayed as more new leads and connections are explored and fleshed out. The Orange One's legal woes will get much deeper with more charges being considered as his financial information is scrutinized. There's a lot to unpack in all of this, and it must be done carefully and thoroughly to ensure successful outcomes when charges are finally brought.

In spite of good jobs numbers recently, the economy will still be fairly stagnant for the rest of the year partly due to continued Covid issues. While the vaccines are effective, they are not a cure, and unfortunately, many people will think that having been vaccinated gives them license to throw caution to the wind and ignore safety protocols. Spiking infection/death rates in many places and piecemeal restrictions as the variants come into play will cause the economy to be spotty in many places. There may need to be yet another stimulus package before the end of the year.

The general collective will feel like the world has been dipped in very heavy molasses and tar as they slog on through their daily lives feeling like they have to work twice as hard to get half as far. Many will feel more hampered and restricted even as some parts of the economy and the country are more open than before. This is regrettably a normal situation under the astrological circumstances. We must do our best to avoid being caught up in the distractions that will be thrown at us by those who oppose our progress. Long-term planning can continue, obviously, but we will all need to hunker down and focus only on what is directly in front of us for a while and not be taken in by the circus that will be playing out around us. As much as I would like to say "keep your eyes on the prize", that may not be possible for a time, so we need to just aim in the general direction of where we want and need to go, and for heaven's sake, keep moving.

This article was published last June so some of it is slightly out of date, and the tone isn't how I would promote it.  However, there's a lot of good information about what's coming for the US in the next couple of years astrologically, so if you can ignore the "doom and gloom" attitude, it may be helpful.

Oh goody, a new Mercury Retrograde period begins tomorrow, and since Mercury AND the Sun will be in Mercury's home sign of Gemini, it is supposed to be extra-powerful.  One astrologer says that Retrograde Mercury is not part of a cosmic plan to upset, delay, or screw things up. Rather, this is part of the natural cycle intended to be a time of reflecting and re-doing things that need our attention. Even though it can be maddening at times, if you keep this perspective you can make the most of this three week cycle.

So there's a bright side.  I have taught my kid that no job is finished until you've finished details, cleaned up the mess,  and put away your supplies.  (Tried to teach my spouse that too, to no avail.)  Thinking of M.R. as a tidy-up session seems to make sense to me.

That's a good way to look at it. I'll try to adopt that attitude as well...as I have some projects to "tidy up" and put away for now.

I completely agree with this, and it's not just Merc Retro, but all of the planetary retrogrades. Saturn is also doing the reverse thing as of last week, and Neptune will follow suit in mid-June.  To see what areas you need to review and may need to correct, look at 1) what the planet rules, 2) what sign it's currently in and what that sign presides over, and 3) where the retrograde occurs in your chart (which house) and what area of your life that represents.  The combination of those three things will give you a pretty good idea what things will likely need to be revisited and reviewed to make sure they're what and where they need to be.  It's also a good idea to look at any aspects the retrogrades will make, because those areas may also be affected. It can't hurt to give everything a once-over, but if you pay special attention to those areas, you'll come out the other side in much better shape.

Wondering how all of you are viewing the upcoming solar eclipse on June 10 especially coming so quickly after the lunar eclipse of late May. Thoughts on personal and social impacts?

So, does anyone have insights about what will happen with America's upcoming Pluto return? More importantly, when will the return actually begin? I've skimmed a lot of articles online, and while most say it will last from 2022 to 2023, they don't provide any specific dates.

@coyote

An excerpt from https://www.astro.com/astrology/tma_article210208_e.htm

"the Pluto return is technically set to fire exactly on February 22nd of 2022 (and by precession-adjusted standards, in February of 2024). As I hinted at the outset, though, a long-term cycle like Pluto return requires an exceptionally wide orb of influence on either side... necessarily extend for many years before and after that window of exactitude; indeed, I don’t think it would be excessive to speak of the entire 2020s as representing the peak period of America’s Pluto return."

@maggieci I don't know why astrology makes my head heart, but I tried to read that article and can't wrap my brain around it all!

Overall take seems to track with all the predictions here though.

@maggieci This was a remarkable article.  The historic comparisons make it well worth the read.
