I hadn't really noticed any far-right physics myself (noticed one, once, and he didn't make any sense to me). I have to wonder if our hard working and meticulous friends in Russian Military Intelligence haven't noticed the psychic community predicting doom and gloom for Trump and have created their own counter narrative?
Thank you for the welcome, Jeanne, and for all you do here and in general.
Funny, I re-read a post by psychic Betsey Lewis, who seems to get some things right, but also said the Kavanaugh accusations are "fake news" and that Nancy Pelosi would not become speaker again, and other gems. But she's not the only one like this. In fact, a woman I like and care about very much, who is a very good psychic generally, has some pretty out there, scary, super right-wing beliefs. Still always amazes me when I hear about this kind of dichotomy - to be so accurate about some things and then to fail to see the things (e.g., Trump's unfitness) that one need not be psychic to pick up on (understatement). But people's biases really serve as lenses that can distort psychic and mundane info.
Re: the Hilary prediction, I had an interesting experience in the summer of 2016, before Trump "won" the nomination. I remote viewed a target that had been set up by a prominent RVer for those listening to his lecture to view (the lecture had been recorded). It was associative remote viewing (ARV) with two outcomes. The question was who would become president (not win the election, interestingly). The two options were Hilary Clinton, and Someone Other Than Hilary Clinton. (for those unfamiliar with ARV, each possible outcome is paired with a photo site that is a stand in for the outcome).
I was very new to RV at the time, and not practiced. My image was extremely clear, however. I saw/felt HRC nearby, but otherwise, basically my sketches and descriptions were eerily accurate for the photo representing "Someone other than HRC" winning.
I felt sick. I also assumed I must be wrong, because she seemed so likely to win. I threw out my sketches figuring they were either crap or something I didn't want to deal with.
The results of those dozen or so people who had already viewed had been compiled, and the group was pretty split in their results, just FYI. It was a target that was not easy to view well (or, perhaps the group was so split because there were technically two right answers: HRC actually won (the popular vote), and DJT won by electoral college and via Russian intervention.
My own bias led me to push away what I saw, which was accurate (but not logical). Will def be more thoughtful going forward.
All best to you and everyone here.
Many years ago when Llewellyn Publishing was putting out a magazine they used to have a British astrologer doing a column on current events. It was marred for me by his incredible bias. He really had it in for Bill Clinton, Democrats and leftists in general . I wrote them more than once suggesting they get him to tone things down. I pointed out that he was supporting the same goals as many of the Religious Right who were bedeviling New age people. He finally went too far when he did column predicting Clinton's utter defeat in the next election. After looking at his data I was astounded- he'd used the first Tuesday in November in.. 1995. A full year before the actual date. I called the editor who seemed shocked when she saw I was right. I was apparently the first reader who noticed. I think the column ran another issue then vanished.
I think his emotions got in the way. It happens often and easily. We all need to guard against it.
I hate to admit it, but in the past I have gotten into email arguments with some of these alt-right psychics about their predictions/pro-Trump anti-Hillary stance/lies. These are psychics who preach about being light workers and say how 'we all need to raise our vibrations' bla bla bla, then in the same sentence say they see Trump is going to make our country great again because he's so smart and such a good businessman, etc. sigh. Now I just send them love and light as I see getting into a verbal fight isn't helpful to anyone, especially to me! I do think these right-wing 'psychics' have an agenda AND they are being paid to spew this nonsense - especially about Qanon.
It's still troubling to me that they are blatantly lying, but so many people are stuck in fear and only want to believe what they want to believe - no matter how illogical it is - like the soy bean farmers who can't sell their crops because of the tariffs Trump has imposed, yet they still support Trump because they believe he will somehow protect them. And you can't change their minds, even when they are being financially destroyed because of him! I guess that's the path they chose - to be willfully blind and they will wake up to reality only when they are ready to wake up. Then the saying 'fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me' comes to mind. Everyone has lessons to learn, and evidently being gullible and naive is a big lesson many people are currently learning. A Vedic astrologer I follow said 'discernment about what is true and what is false is one of the most important qualities a person can have'.
Numerologist, I resonate with your thoughts. Way back in high school fifty years ago I read George Orwell’s allegorical novella Animal Farm and this masterpiece keeps coming to mind as these rising authoritarians have gained power in the US.
Animal Farm was about Stalin’s reign, but as in any masterpiece, Orwell captured the essence of the human psyche which will play out again and again throughout history.
There was a work horse on the farm who believed in the fascist pigs who had taken over. He believed in them in spite of the evidence that they were behaving as elitist as the farmer who animals had overthrown.
Near the end when the horse was old and no longer useful to the pigs they loaded him onto the back of a truck to cart him off to the slaughterhouse where he’d be turned into soap.
It wasn’t until he was locked into the truck that he realized their plans for him. I think of that horse when I see MAGA hat-clad spectators at Trump’s rallies.
Again, I think that it is a real possibility that at least some of these "psychics" are working out of a Russian troll farm. They have covered every other base, why not this one too?
Paul I agree wiht you. I have been googling psychic predictions at the beginning of every year for at least the last five years, the increase in the number of right leaning reading has grown considerably. By the way I would like to know what anyones impressions of Hamilton Parker are. He gives me the creeps when I look at him, like there is something insincere about him.
Another interesting item, there is a Tarot/intuitive I follow regularly who has proof her you-tube account has been tamered with. Her "watched/liked" numbers have been changed after the fact. Very weird.
