This may or may not be transpersonal-- but it is strange.

I dreamed I was out west somewhere (this is a common setting for my dreams. but...)

There was a small moon that was located over the area I was in.  This moon was in stationary orbit over the area.   There was a transport that would take tourists up to the moon, where they could enter a dome that contained Earth atmosphere. I went up to the dome with several family and friends.  Within the dome there was a beach and other water features. There were bathhouses for changing and showering off after visiting the beach.  Some of our party got separated and we were frustrated trying to locate each other when it was time to leave.

Occasionally, visitors to the dome could view eclipses of the sun.  I do not know what celestial object was eclipsing the sun-- but I don't think it was Earth.  Maybe another moon?

I have weird dreams nearly every  night.  Many of them do involve trying to get into a changing room or take a shower, but this was a really unusual setting.

Any comments?

@ana  I would interpret your dreams of trying to shower and/or change as indicating your negative feelings about our current president and government and your inability to identify with them.  The moon in your dream may have represented a potential new home, and a fresh start, but when you lost track of your companions, you realized it wasn’t “home.”

Last night I dreamed I was at an intersection and it was raining hard off and on, with water pooling along the roads. I immediately recognized it as Corpus Christi, TX, where I visited regularly when I was growing up.

Then I saw the sidewalk to my right filled with hordes of people, an unending stretch of people continued to stream by. They were walking away from the storm and I heard the word "exodus."

It felt like this was a vision of the future some years from now, not something that will happen in the coming hurricane season. But I'm not absolutely certain about that.

@ana The moon can mean the unconscious and something emotional, and dreams often have multiple meanings which can all be true. The psyche is clever that way.

When other people interpret your dream they are telling you how it felt for them, which means their psyche found meaning for them in your dream, which may or may not be the meaning for you. If it was a transpersonal dream, then it's for all of us.

If there was a personal meaning, and there usually is, I'd say it involves unconscious unresolved feelings about a time spent out west where the moon was in stationary orbit - i.e., some deep seated emotions that are calling for your focus at this time.

Transpersonal meaning: You might be tapping into entrepreneural (probably Musk) plans for how to make a bundle from colonizing the moon. As of now, there is no regulation of land on the moon. So an entrepreneur can put up a dome and create a Disney World on the moon for the uber wealthy to pay for the space ship trip and the experience there. Compared to Stockton Rush's Titan venture, which cost passengers $250,000 each, I can only imagine the cost of the moon adventure.

@jeanne-mayell  Hi Jeanne- and thanks for your interpretation.

I have spent a lot of time in the western US-- mostly New Mexico, Colorado, and Montana-- also a fair amount in Utah and Arizona. (Both for geology work and for vacations.)  My current S.O. is from Montana and Colorado (and our relationship is turbulent).  When I was eight years old, my family took a trip out west and when we got home I announced to my parents that we should immediately move to Colorado because it was so beautiful. Of course, they just looked at me sideways like I was nuts and never even tried to explain why it wasn't feasible.    So yes, I do have many unresolved feelings about these places .   In fact I might consider moving there if it were not for family members here who rely on my assistance (One extremely elderly mother,  and the other person is getting to the elderly bracket and also autistic.)

It didn't occur to me that the part about visiting a moon (not THE moon, but a smaller one) could have related to Musk and other zillionaires space aspirations.  But it makes sense.

@gbs  I think it's related to sea level rise and the inevitable exodus of coastal residents.  This troubles me greatly-  because I live in inland Florida and all the refugees are going to come here and create yet more urban sprawl. 🙄

@ruby   Hi Vesta, I have recently been mulling fantasies about getting in my car and driving off to Canada or some wilderness and leaving all my responsibilities behind so that part is true.  I'm at the end of my rope with some of the people involved.

@ana

What an interesting and complex dream! I am struck by the theme of “change.” I agree with Jeanne, all of the symbolism relates to you and your frame of reference. Just some thoughts….As I recall and your post indicates, you have a background in science and maybe climate change?  I wonder if leaving this planet suggests the need for an alternate one, as Stephen Hawking suggested. Also, you are frustrated with the “changing:” is it too slow? too difficult? Can’t find a means to accomplish it? And what can you connect with the idea of showering? Cleansing? Shedding the old?

I am connected to the western US as well. When I think of it, I think of open expansive skies and a sense of freedom. Just some ideas to play with to interpret your own dream.
