I had a dream a couple of days ago that may have been about the US.  The dream has me at a house, and there are many people in the house because I can hear their voices in different areas of the house.  I go into the living room and there is a young man on the couch, which is very cheap and uncomfortable looking, and he is watching a handheld tablet device.  He says,"I have lots of movies here!  I have this streaming service so I can watch lots of movies..."  He seems to be unable to take his eyes away from what he is watching.  I feel a little weird standing there while he watches a movie so I go outside.  On the street outside the house is a primitive truck, I almost feel like it is an altered truck.  It is like no truck I've seen before.  It feels like someone converted some kind of delivery truck or something.  It is ugly with old paint and beat up.  It hasn't been used as a delivery truck for a business in a long  time.  I see a rug hanging on the back of the truck is covering the opening of the truck bed.  It seems like there is another opening toward the front of the truck to let air flow into the truck.  I can't describe this very well but it was like the truck needed air to flow through it so that people could stay cool inside.  Inside was two women with their children living in the truck.  They were living there because they had no house.  I knew this in the dream when I looked at the rug and seemed to hear their voices.  The women wanted their children to go to sleep.  Outside on the street I look around and observe a person wearing a Halloween costume coming down the street towards me and then I wake up.  After I wake up I try to remember the Halloween costume and I seem to get either an Easter bunny or I am not sure what...If it is an Easter bunny it reminds me of the costume of the Easter bunny standing beside Trump at the White House Easter Egg Roll.  I saw it and thought it looked creepy.  Weirdly I also feel like it might have been a more traditional Halloween costume, but I can't remember it--just something dark and ugly.  Maybe it was the Easter bunny then morphed into the Halloween costume but it isn't clear in my mind at all.

I later thought that the scene in the house suggested a lot of people trying to live in one house.  It felt like that to me.  They couldn't afford their own places so they had to share the same house to survive.  The man watching the movie on a tiny tablet suggests no money for a TV.  Cheap couch suggets same thing, not much money for the niceties in life.  He seems to be obsessed with movies, this must mean something also...but what?

The scene outside suggested the women had gone in together and bought a truck to make it into a place to live in.  They altered it so it was bearable for them and their children to sleep in.  The part that makes no sense to me is the person in the costume coming down the street.  If it is a reference to the White House, then what does it mean? Does it mean the Trump administration policies are going to cause economic downturn with the tariffs?  I have the feeling my spirit guides were exaggerating the situation to help me remember the scenes.   It probably won't seem that dire in real life.  Sometimes they really exaggerate to get my attention.

Starpath, you've remembered well so many key elements of your dream!  I think it's an important detail that the movie-watching guy was young.  One of the rising generation.  At an age where he should be shaping his own life's story and, ideally, engaged in his community and the world at large.  And yet, he's content/complacent to remain desensitized/disengaged from what's happening in the real world (i.e., his uncomfortable living situation, what's happening in the truck just outside his door, what's coming down the street).  He's at risk of being caught off guard by whatever it is the person in disguise has in store--or maybe the young man will choose to be oblivious, remaining mesmerized by what's on his small screen.  The fact that he bragged about having access to so many movies (i.e., news coverage, blogs, tweets, talking heads, etc., unfolding 24/7) makes me think of those who become easily seduced into feeling special or important to be the audience for someone else's "movie"=easy fodder for, say, a charismatic, narcissistic, autocratic leader.

The old and beat up delivery truck that's become a makeshift and barely bearable shelter for the 2 women and their children could be a statement about the current stalled, broken, and supremely uncaring state of our immigration system.  A system that's no longer delivering what's needed.

Halloween is about disguises--manipulations, really.  In your dream, someone is making an attempt to come across as something  they're not, to be seen as benevolent and unthreatening as the Easter Bunny.  I think you're right--it's actually Trump.  I'm reminded of last week when he saluted (?!) the Easter Bunny character at the White House.  Even when he attempts to be normal and well-meaning, he can't help but reveal how daft and inappropriate and creepy he genuinely is.  You were smart to wake up fast as he came towards you in the dream!

Starpath, your dream most certainly holds many more good insights than what I've just reflected.  Thanks for sharing!

Starpath, I felt your dream was an image of a dark future that the rebpulicans have in store for Americans  if they don't wake up.

I saw the house in your dream as our people, especially the future of our young people  And if you think about it, a house as a delivery truck fits the idea that we are all making a living here, delivering our goods and services to others.

But this delivery truck is poor and shabby, and the family has to live in it with no separate private life of their own, which may be the state of our country and where it is going if we don't wake up and vote out the insurgents  who have taken over this country. Also the low wages and high cost of living fits a future where families will be sharing cramped quarters as this one was forced to do.

The migratory feeling about the families in the truck also fits the post-industrial lifestyle where families move for jobs - a condition that has evolved and brought wealth to the oligarchs but caused separation for families.  Today there is no tribal home for Americans to gather with their extended families.  Americans have been forced by their jobs to separate from each other with only a computer screen to find their tribes.  And that computer screen brings phony images of non sensical mythical creatures, like Easter Bunnies,   to convince people  their leader is benign.

CDeanne your interpretation was masterful.  Makes total sense that Halloween is about disguises. Halloween is also about death, hauntings, and the visitation of souls from the dead.

It's a dark dream, like the Ghost of Christmas future that Charles Dickens conjured for us as the future Scrooge will get if doesn't  do something to change it.

The Easter Bunny is a benign image that T and his enablers  project.  It is an Orwellian image that talks down to the American people  as if they are children. It also may be projecting a time period - spring, which is what Easter has always been about, including the easter bunny that is a pagan, not religious symbol, of fertility in spring.

The government and the political parties hire psychologists who are experts in marketing and mind control. They cloak the leader in the most benign image they can.  Everything is orchestrated including T's rallies.  There are business text books in psychological marketing that have debased psychological research to help enterprises succeed by using mind control.

The young man is glued to his computer screen.  In Ray Bradbury's dystopian 1953 short story Fahrenheit 451, books are burned and people are glued to enormous interactive t.v. screens, which distract them.  They live in a trance while the government fights endless wars and prevents them from independent thinking.

The disguises remind me of the visions I had of  T in my last timeline reading where I saw his debauched face and body transformed by photo-shopped images of a handsome Hollywood-esque Big Brother leader.  In my vision he was sitting in a Dumbo the Elephant Disneyland ride which I recreated here.

They are dumbing down their image to the lowest common denominator of American intelligence in order to control them. The Easter Bunny appeals to the Christian Right but in a non religious actually pagan so that it also appeals to nearly everyone in this country.

I thought of the people in the truck as the average American of the future, if America doesn't wake up from the trance of YouTube and social media fed to them by corporate oligarch interests, this is the future life and standard of living facing our population that the oligarchs have in store for this country.

The poor family in the truck is eerily reminiscent of the impoverished families in Steinbeck's Grapes of Wrath, a story of billionaire greed and cruelty and the tragedy of the American farmers during the dustbowl years.

I am not saying this is our future. I am saying this is a glimpse of where it's going if we don't get these people out of office.

Last night I dreamed I was inside a large building with classical architecture and statues on the outside.  It was reminiscent of a cathedral or government building.  There were lots of people inside the building with me when we discovered there was a dangerous black mold on the outside of the building.  Workers came to treat the mold with a fungicide and we were told that the treatment would kill the dangerous mold on the statues, but we would all be okay inside.   Even though I was inside the building, I had a vision of what was going on outside as workers in hazard gear sprayed down the statues on the building.  We just had to wait until it was safe to go back outside.    I'm still thinking about it this morning and the first interpretation that came to mind is that this could be about our country, threatened by toxic people and government and yet we the people will be okay after  the dangerous entities are removed.

Bluebelle, I love your dream. Christian Northrup wrote that house dreams are common for women.

The classical architecture and statues remind me that John Adams fashioned our government  on the democracy of the Roman Empire.   The mold comes from neglect.  The toxic insurgents got traction because our people have taken the democracy for granted.  In 2004.a national survey found that 80% of  10th graders did not know the Bill of Rights, had no clue what our forefathers had given their lives for.

Your dream shows that even with the neglect, it’s not too late for our democracy.

CDeanne and Jeanne I feel there is a lot you both express that I agree with.  I actually really like both of your explanations for different "flavors" of the dream. Thank you for the input! It was very interesting to read both of the posts.

I worried about posting the dream, I know it sounded a little dark, but I also know that some of my dreams can be about getting the general "vibe" across and are not literal.  Perhaps the possible reality of this dream may be a potential timeline as Jeanne suggests--if the younger generation (represented by the young man who couldn't stop watching movies) doesn't stop entertaining themselves by mindlessly watching the internet and gets active and involved by keeping informed, voting and/or protesting...

I guess I feel like the scene with the two women and children living in a truck could also be about single mothers trying to band together to survive because the fathers (represented by the young male watching movies?) are not providing child support or something of that nature.

I remember now that the Easter bunny did morph into the creepy mask wearing man.  I thought I couldn't remember, but I actually did remember but was upset at that image and tried to block it out.  The Easter bunny did seem a little creepy but the mask was pretty bad.  Darkness with teeth.  I saw the top edge of the mask as a curved edge highlighted by the streetlight  There were no eyes, just blackness.  I didn't really want to remember but I could after I relaxed.   It could be Trump or it could be a representation of all the people in his administration using power for their own selfish ends.

I also had a dream about William Barr I didn't want to post because I thought it was silly.  I dreamed it April 11th.  He was drinking beer out of a big glass beer mug and happy...he had Irish decorations around him...four leaf clovers, green streamers, etc.  Seemed almost like a St. Patrick's day celebration, with an emphasis on the four leaf clovers.  I think that it may mean that he thinks he is so lucky to get his position as attorney general and that he feels like he can get away with whatever he wants to... I also felt like he is "tribal" in the sense that Irish is a group of people he feels comfortable with and in reality his true tribe is the republicans.  I didn't like this dream, I thought it was annoying to see him drinking beer and smiling but hey, maybe I should post it anyway.

I had a strange dream two weeks ago.  It mixed some personal and some transpersonal  issues. The personal part was that I was going to teach a class on the Tarot but I was delayed getting it together.  (I am in reality planning to teach a new online Tarot course in late May and yes I have been delayed in posting it).

My cousin  Andrew who reads the cards and helps me with the classes was delayed in getting to my house— part of the delay theme.  In the dream he was coming over to help with the class but called to tell me he was miles away and would be late.   (In reality he never comes to my house since he’s on the west coast and I’m on the east coast, but never mind, it’s a dream.)

In the dream I had decided I’d teach a new deck —the Osho Zen deck, in addition to my usual Thoth deck.

Now it’s getting Transpersonal because Zen is a path to forgiveness that I feel People need to practice in order to keep the peace in this divided world and in my divided head.

Then a weird thing happened in the dream that I can’t get out of my mind.  I was turning over some Osho Zen cards to try to better understand them and the first card I turned over was, as clear as day, a street map of the State  of Kentucky.

Keep in mind that there are no maps in the Osho Zen deck but when I saw the map of Kentucky, there was an understanding in the dream that the deck had many cards that were maps.  This is intriguing because cards can be used as a map to guide you.

But Kentucky.  Kentucky.  That’s Mitch McConnell’s state. I think people realize how instrumental he has been in the chaos this country is going through.  He’s also tied in with Russian oligarch money.

That map on the card was so vivid and it keeps popping up in my mind.

Thanks for sharing Starpath, lots of things to ponder. As a late Millennial (born in the 1990s) I feel the need to point out that the Millennial generation is extremely diverse in terms of ideology and lifestyle, and is hardly a mass of phone obsessed sleep walkers (the linked article discusses British Millennials, but American society and British society are facsimiles of each other). Also, young fathers now are much more likely to be engaged in child-rearing than they were in the past, so the women you saw in your dream could either A) stand for the millennia-old problem of men abandoning women once they become pregnant, or B) stand for the ways in which late-capitalist American society actively stymies low-income men in their efforts to be good fathers (scenario B sounds more in-line with your dream and its theme of America gone awry. Like Jeanne said, shades of Steinbeck in that image).

The fact that the people in the house in your dream were siloed into different rooms instead of speaking directly to each other might say something about how, as Americans, we're not talking to each other enough, sharing our common grievances, or coming together to chart a path for a better society. We are all imbued with enormous change-making potential that can be unlocked if we come together and say no to the paradigms of separation and competition. Left alone, however, we can only flail about and sink deeper into flawed habits that are inculcated by our flawed society. This applies as much to the phone obsessed young man as it would to, say, an 80 year-old retiree  who can't stop railing about "those gay freaks and deadbeat blacks!", or to my own careerist Baby Boomer parents who haven't let go of the notion that climbing the corporate ladder and accumulating material belongings makes for a worthwhile life. And yes, the Easter Bunny/costumed figure is the malevolent force that wants to lead America into a dark future while everyone else is too isolated and distracted to do anything about it (wolf in sheep's clothing).

Your interpretation of the Barr dream sounds pretty accurate. He is feeling lucky and temporarily relieved ("Look at what I got away with! Now it's time to drink away my worries and second thoughts!") Also, politicians, both Democratic and Republican, like to surround themselves with working-class trappings, epitomized by St. Patrick's Day celebrations, so that they can convince their constituents (and themselves) that they are capable of being chummy with the barstool crowd. In reality, many of these politicians are elitist technocrats, and (in the GOP case) are disdainful of the working class.
