@traf66, the policies of Texas Governor Abbott and recent actions by the border officials are unconscionable. My understanding is that a trooper medic became concerned by what he witnessed at the border and brought it to the public's attention. I'm happy that the DOJ is taking swift action to investigate it.

Oh, great. So Elon's Starlink really is not what it seems now, just like the voice in my dream said. The most dangerous thing isn't Starlink, but Elon Musk himself.

@pamp Starlink user here. When I first got it it was a godsend because I’d lived here nearly 20 years and while we’re on the main drag and right out of town - no internet.
while the price was high (I started in beta for $99 a month) it delivered amazing results. For the first time in our life here my family felt like everyone else. We streamed. We zoomed. We browsed. It was wonderful.
Woe, however, was lurking just around the corner. On a whim with no warning we received notice that the price was increasing $10 a month. A few months later, again with no warning we were informed it was no longer unlimited with huge data overage charges. Then it stopped working inexplicably. The only way to get customer support is through an unmanned chat in the app. We went 6 weeks without service before someone answered my messages. A few weeks later we were told data was unlimited again but the price was increasing by $20 a month (now $130)
fiber internet is being buried on our road now thanks to Biden. My connection at the company told me I can go to the local charter office next week and sign up for installation. I can’t wait to box up the dish and throw it in the garbage where it’s maker also belongs.
the article was spot on - everything with it is subject to Melon Husk’s stupid whims and fancies. The prices seemed to rise every time Twitter stock tanked. He could have done something great for humanity here by delivering on the promise of bringing internet everywhere but I don’t know how poor rural families can afford the price hikes.
I had a dream last night that could be prophetic but I hope not. Standing in front of an earthen wall, I raised my hands well above my head and pulled myself up onto it. Standing atop the wall on a firm surface like paving stones, I engaged in some mundane activity, maybe grilling food..it was indistinct, but then my attention was captured by activity over my left shoulder. High in the sky, I saw a box-like airborne object consuming a high, stone structure that looked similar to the Roman Colosseum below except that the structure was higher, more arched and there was more open space between the arches. When I say the box-like object was consuming the structure, it was ingesting it the way one would suck up noodles.
Though it doesn't sound scary, it was. I awoke in a panic, grateful that it was only a dream, albeit a significant one. Although one might draw parallels between the demise of Roman civilization and the current state of our democracy, this dream felt more event-based. I record it here in case there is some real world approximation in the future, though it is difficult to imagine and I don't wish it.

@raincloud Could your structure represent a Roman aqueduct with several tiers? Perhaps there might be a disruption with a water source?
Interesting. The structure was of a similar ilk but it seemed higher than aqueduct. Of course, dreams aren't necessarily precise. Syria did cross my mind although this feels like an event that is in the future.
Funny, I ran across the following article this morning about the parallels of Rome and the US.
@raincloud Imagining your dream to be my own, I stepped into it and my mind went straight to a weapon. Maybe an atomic weapon, but then I thought of a laser. What might a laser weapon look like? No idea, so I consulted Google and found that they are mounted on a box-like structure. I felt safe, though, as I was standing on a firm structure and doing something I know how to do - cooking.
(I've been studying dream work and tried out the "if it were my dream" approach to shedding light on another's dream. I hope it was ok with you.)
