This thread is part III of the thread that started as (1) Donald Trump Unraveling, then (2) The Great Unraveling and the Great Turning, and now (3) The Great Unraveling & the Great Turning Part III

When threads surpass one hundred pages, the app requires us to start a new one. I am certain there is a metaphysical aspect to this shift as well as a cyber technical one. You can still go back and read the earlier threads if you click on the overall category and then click on <see more topics>.  All old topics are still here.

Trump is heading to Wisconsin right now to "talk" to the people (aka-his base).  No doubt he will stir up trouble and just make a bad situation even worse.

I am honestly sick of this man.

He spreads poison everywhere he goes.  He incites his followers to commit violence on others and yet decries violence from "the liberals."  Meanwhile, children are still being separated at the border, our economy is in the toilet, riots and crimes of hate and violence have went up every single year that Trump has been in office, and at least 180,000 are dead from Covid 19 (and probably many more, because I doubt that red states are accurately reporting the death count.)

Explain to me again what this man has to offer any of us?

He is making a Christian nation?  Well, based on his actions and the evangelicals' support, they are losing badly.  While 26% of Americans older than 65 were white evangelicals in 2017, that was true of only 14% of 30- to 49-year-olds, and 8% of 18- to 29-year olds.  Can you only imagine what the number is now?

He has given them power?  Last time I checked, abortion was still legal, he hasn't run Jews and Muslims out of the country yet, and the Evangelical church is becoming more and more like a power hungry elite minority that has raised the ire of the rest of the nation, and a reckoning is coming regardless of what the election results are.

We got jobs and a great economy?  Uh, what?  Yes, the billionaires are still making a killing on Wall Street, but I don't see any economic success with the regular people.  Even before Covid 19, there was a ceiling that prevented people from truly rising up from their designated place in society.  Yes, they could feed their children.  But could the poor become middle class, or the middle class become part of the upper class?  I think not.

And healthcare?  Enough said.

I am truly scared that Trump will continue to cause trouble no matter what.  So I pray each and every single day that he doesn't make it to the November 3, 2020 election date.  I pray that something happens that causes him to resign, because I truly want him gone.  I want him to go to one of his overseas golf courses and not return.  I want his name to live on as a curse and a warning to other politicians and leaders ("we can't have this guy as our representative.  He is racist and sexist.  We don't want to be 'Trumped').  I feel more and more anxious/hopeful as we count down these last few weeks because I feel in my bones that something is about to happen that will change the course of this election and seal Trump's fate.

I can't explain it, but it is like hearing thunder in the distance.  You don't need to step outside to see the rain clouds or feel the wind.  You know that it is coming, and you brace yourself for it.  I feel that now, that something is coming that will hit our nation and make certain that Biden will win.  I don't know what it is yet.  Maybe it will be a sudden spike in Covid-19 related deaths in children that were sent to schools.  Maybe it will be an incident where another African American gets killed by cops or, God forbid, a child.  Maybe a series of hurricanes will hit red states and Trump won't have enough toilet paper to throw at them like he did in Texas a few years ago (not to mention that red states damaged by hurricanes will have trouble voting, in that their own laws used to restrict voting from minorities will be used against them in that many of their residents will be forced to move to other areas and thus may be unable to vote on November 3, 2020, mailing or otherwise.)

[Disclaimer-No, I am not hoping that any of the above comes to pass.  But remember that I am from a red state, and I know how red states voters think.  The above examples are a few situations that would be enough that a portion of the Trump voters would stay home instead of voting, thus ensuring that Trump will lose.]

Personally, I think that Trump's enemies are waiting in the wings to start releasing damaging information at key points during these last few weeks.  Particularly the last week of September (before the first debate and just before early voting starts in some of the states), on or about October 14, 2020 (when early voting starts with many of the other states, including many red states), and just before November 3, 2020 (October surprise, anyone)?

Remember, Trump has many, many enemies that have waited for this moment.  They have had four years to collect information.  They also know that Trump loves to manufacture crisises so that he can control the media cycle and try to come out as the "hero" at the end.  They know the public is full of "Trump fatigue," so they must chose the right times for the information to come out, least the impact on Trump's re-election chances are limited.

I am hopeful that enough outrage will occur by mid October will be so much that Trump will "gracefully" (for him, anyway) resign and leave the Presidency to Pence, which will ensure that Trump is not around to wreck havoc on our election cycle and/or cast doubts on the results.  I am hoping he fears being a "loser" more than anything else, and would rather walk out on his own terms instead of being "fired" by America (as well as get a legal pardon from Pence, which would hold up better in the Supreme Court than one that Trump would issue for himself.).

Even his fears of being prosecuted when out of office for state crimes will be relieved in the sense that he can drag out a legal battle for years.  This has always been his strategy.  He rarely wins in-court battles, and instead is content to wait it out until the resolve of the other party is run down.

Yes, I know Trump loves battles.  But remember that he has promised many things before only to back down at the last minute.  Remember when he was planning to bring the Taliban to Camp David to announce a peace plan with them?  Remember when he sent his troops to Portland, only to withdraw them later?  While Trump promises many things, he doesn't always follow through if it seems like he will face huge backlash and thus become a "loser."  It is far better for him to leave on his own terms and with the semblance of control over his fate.  But if he senses that his plan to call the election results into question will get no support from the military or the population as a whole, he very well may bow out in advance to save face.  I sincerely pray with all of my soul that this happens, and that we can enjoy Halloween with tales of witches and ghosts as opposed to worrying about the real-life monster in our midst and wondering how many more children (and their futures) will be "sacrificed" to this man all for the sake of his vanity.

Does anyone else see this as a possibility?  I admit that I am not gifted as many people here are, but I do get feelings when I feel that something is coming.  Right now I feel like I am about to have surgery (I dread the pain and uncertainty it brings, then feel relieved and happy when it is all over).  I wish I could describe it better, but that is what I feel like right now.  Something is going to happen that will bring short-term pain and then a period of serenity and calm.  Maybe I am feeling the results of the election, but I sincerely hope it is Trump's resignation before the election occurs, so that we don't have to worry through the holidays or into January of next year.

Does anyone else feel as I do?

I understand what you are feeling and wish I could take the anxiety, fear and bile away...

I find the Lincoln Project helpful though. They have well thought out reasoning and research to back up their convictions. Perhaps it will help you too?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2G2b6TNL9mM is a virtual report about his tactics concerning 'law and order'. It's enlightening.

I hope he resigns before the election. Imagine he lost the election and he is but hurt can you imagine what he and his administration and of course Mitch McConnell will do. They will try to have more of there judges elected. All the havoc he can create with laws and deregulations and immigrants law and those poor kids in the cages the payroll tax and he will steal even more money and the chaos he will create with his demented base. How much stuff they will try to get through before he has to leave. I am afraid the chaos he will cause. This man is not going down quietly. He loves chaos and loves to hurt people. He will try to hurt the whole USA before he leaves and he would say it’s because everyone cheated to have him loose the election. He will blame the USA.

He is increasingly creating and participating in a whirlwind of anger that only augments his energy, like a hurricane over warm waters.  Who knows what happens when it finally slams into shore?

Just ran across this tidbit too : https://hillreporter.com/donald-trump-given-september-deadline-for-dna-submission-in-sexual-assault-case-75679

So.. he has two court cases that are not exactly in his favor even as he leans deeper in to QAnon,Boogaloo Bois, Proud Boys and more of the far right subcultures.

Looks like he suffered a series of mini strokes. No one reported that the visit to Walter Reed was a "series of mini strokes" but Trump tweeted today denying just that. Since he was the first to specifically state what was "fake news" that never was reported, its safe to say that is what happened to him.

@mas1581 I completely agree with your assessment.  Whatever he says, believe the opposite.

@lowtide

That the typical protocol with him but this one was a little different. He denied a report that never was that specific. This one was the equivalent someone asking you if you happen to have seen their keys and your reply is "I never took your keys out of your purse and threw them in the bathroom wastebasket."
