@coyote I feel as you do. It is frightening, but it ain't going to happen. We threw cards tonight in class and no one got civil war. On the contrary, we saw a fading old guard, i.e., Trump and friends, and a rising spirit that seeks conflict resolution in spite of them.
@Coyote - YES, thank you, that was kind of what I was trying to say, in a different way. I figure if guys who have been in the middle of real civil war zones are saying not to worry, then not to worry! I do continue to worry that the Regime will continue to stoke the flames of the nutbar base, and even though 30% that makes up the base is a minority, as you yourself said - when 30% of the population is willing to go kill the other 70%, then it's war.

My quick $.02:
The 3 of Pentacles in Rider-Waite shows a craftsman, a priest, and a nobleman discussing plans for a cathedral being built. It represents collaboration, and people working together towards a goal. Reversed, I would interpret to mean that the willingness of different sectors of society (capital, religion, and working people) to work together towards common good has disappeared. Partisanship has paralyzed us.
4 represents stability, and solid foundations. 4 of rods often represents a wedding and happy home (the chuppah). I would interpret the reversal to mean that the foundations of American society have fractured, and those fractures are now apparent to everyone. "A house divided against itself cannot stand."
The Magician is the card of manifestation. In R-W, the 4 elements (sword, pentacle, cup and rod) are on the table before him as he raises a wand to the sky and points to the earth. I would interpret this to mean that we have all the tools necessary to right the ship, but it's up to us to do it.
This is the one major arcana in the spread, so do not despair! What's past is past. The Universe is laying a path forward for us, but it's going to take all four elements to get there (intellect, tangible work, compassion for others, and passion).
It *could* also mean that a man (yeah, sorry, I do intuit this as a man) of great charisma and leadership will play a significant role in leading the nation forward, someone of intellect (air) who can also execute in tangible terms (earth). He may also be crafty and somewhat manipulative (well... politician). I can't feel a timeframe on this. I like Joe Biden, and predicted a while ago that he would be the Democratic candidate (and that he *should* be the candidate because I think he's one of the few people who may be able to be a unite us right now), but it's definitely not him.

My heart aches for your city and our whole country right now, especially communities of color who are suffering the most from ICE and police violence. I don’t know if he realizes it but T is just like Hitler in his final days. Still trying portray strength outwardly but inwardly he is scared and hiding out in his bunker and lights off the light to the W.H. acting like no one is home. No one is home anyways! I feel like the riots are no longer about George Floyd. This country has been in a pressure cooker since his campaign. His hatred toward minorities and the poor the disabled, veterans the army. Not helping the states with virus. Stealing PPE from the states. I mean this man has disrespected almost everyone. The death of this poor man is what made the pressure cooker explode and people are pissed. He can’t control the protesters. He can’t control the riots and he sure can’t control the narrative of the Virus.
He is falling and can’t get a grip to help him stand up. What he did yesterday’s to the protesters so he can have is photo op with his motel bible ?? he has no religious bone in his body, was disgusting.

@tgraf66 I meant that we saw in the cards a rising spirit of conflict resolution. That the people and much of the political leadership other than the hollow Republican leadership and Donald Vladimir Trump are going to push for peaceful not violent resolution.
Already, today, our republican governor Charlie Baker who is such a republican in many ways pushed back hard against Trump. He said it is not weak but strong to listen to the protesters and it is weak not strong to come down in force.
George Will, a conservative columnist, has written this column today: Trump must be removed. So must his Congressional enablers.

I am confused. You have not done anything harsh and no one has told you you were too harsh. Yours wasn't a real apology either, so I think you know you are fine, but wanted to make a statement that you tell the truth and for some reason you feel you have to apologize for the manner in which you told it.
The truth is good. As long as we treat each other with respect here, we can disagree, and we can state harsh truths. We are not about fluff here. These are rough times. We need all the truth we can get.
