Someone here said a while back they hoped Biden would "FDR the sh*t out of things", (or something to that effect). I wish him ALL SUCCESS in the endeavor.
@ana LOL. I like this phrase. Read today that FDR had his share of trouble getting things passed, but may the road be clear for Biden.
My husband and I were watching the news last night and President Biden was introducing his infrastructure plan. I told my husband, “There’s no stopping this now.” He asked what I meant.
At that moment, I had the strongest feeling that we are well and truly on the road to more and more progress. Gains, forward movement. Things a lot of you have predicted, but I really internalized it last night. Ironic that the feelings of forward movement were related to roads and bridges and internet communication. ?
@lowtide this warmed my heart and has given me hope. ❤️
It will come. It will come. It will come.
A tsunami wave train approaches. A tsunami that doesn't simply break in one tall crashing wave, but with multiple ones, layered upon each other, pushing inland with power. Unrelenting forces of nature uprooting everything in their path. An inundation which envelops, consuming the landscape, wave upon wave.
A tsunami battalion is gathering on the horizon, building unseen in the distance, while the target is captivated and drawn in by the shinny shells and glittering rocks along the deeply receding shoreline.
A tsunami wave of justice is coming.
It is coming. It is coming. It is coming.
I wrote that back on 2-13-21 right before the impeachment vote.
I believe we are in the middle of seeing more of these tsunami waves as they continue approaching the shoreline.
The Georgia/state voter suppression laws, Asian prejudice awareness, shipping container and supply line challenges, mask wearing/vaccination for the greater good of all and the George Floyd hearings are some the new waves which come to mind.
That battalion of waves continues to gather and be unleashed.
The great awakening is in its infancy, but growing. A forever changed landscape is forming as each inundating wave washes away that which can no longer exist in this loving and connected world we are forming.
This beautiful and peaceful new age we are entering demands it.
@lovendures This is good. Thank you for the reminder. ❤️
@lovendures At the risk of maybe going a bit over the top with the metaphor, when I read this about "tidal waves of justice", I immediately thought of this post I made a week or so ago, especially the bolded part. The two of them together (in my mind at least!) created a larger picture of the reason for the waves of justice:
I see small snippets of the news online, and the only thing that crosses my mind is that it's all just churn for the masses. While I doubt there will ever be an "official" end to the obstructionists and those who would have us return to more oppressive times, they *are* finished and they know it. Everything we are seeing them do and try to do will ultimately fail; they know it, and we know it. The only thing we need to do for the next little while (a year, perhaps two) is keep reminding ourselves that everything we are seeing is a tempest in a teapot that will disappear in the end. It will end, and we will move forward, with or without them.
The picture I keep seeing in my head is of something slowly rising from under the sea, and the noise they are making is the waves and chaos on the surface that heralds its arrival. It will come, it will appear, and there's nothing they can do about it. As it comes up and is seen by more and more people, their cries and protests will become more and more shrill and desperate as their "truth" is broken, exposed, and destroyed. They only fight and scream and cry because they know that they and their way of handling things is quickly dying, and a new way - a better and inclusive way - will completely supplant them.
Whether something rises from the actual sea or only from the figurative sea of emotions in the collective, something is coming, and I almost cannot contain my excitement. ?
@tgraf66 Grateful to be reminded of this too. Thank you.

I love your vision and I want to add that we need to keep writing postcards to help get people back on the voter rolls. The GOP has gone all out this time and they are cleansing the voter rolls in communities of color. It's happening now in Virginia and Georgia and probably in most of the southern states. If anyone needs to know how to help with writing postcards, let me know. I am writing postcards for the Virginia voters right now because a woman in my town has been organizing it. Or perhaps someone here knows an organization that's doing it.
