After the Read the Future night when a few people saw Haley or a woman as new president, (have posted the compilation In the  Timeline predictions section in three parts ), I thought exactly that -- that Trump would make her his running mate to get a woman's vote in 2020.

This is problematic because she pretends to be a centrist but there is no such thing as a centrist Republican anymore. It is a Trump cult and the "centrists" talk nice but they perpetuate the dark cult policies.  Like Mass governor Charlie Baker who has proven to be a  climate justice obstructionist.

Glad that SCOTUS ruled against the Citizenship question.  Not glad that they also just ruled that they would allow states to continue gerrymandering because, and this was such a politically conservative decision on their part -- because it was a political issue that should be resolved within states.

What about the fact that it takes voting power away from people?  We don't have one person one vote in this country, not by a long shot. When the progressives get back into power, that needs to be the first thing to address -- that everyone's vote has an equal voice in elections.

I can't imagine Haley accepting the VP slot, unless she fully expects T to step down or be impeached.   She's pretty shrewd politically.

I’m seeing Kamala Harris as someone who can shred trump in every way. Sharp, wise,

strong, a former Attorney General of CA. I see many other in Cabinet positions: Inslee for EPA or Dept of Interior, Warren for anything dealing with finances or Commerce,

Williamson for new Cabinet position as Secretary of Peace, Castro for Homeland Security, Gabbard for Veterans Affairs, Bennet for Sec of Interior, Klobuchar for Secretary of Defense, and Booker for HUD. This would make America much greater.

As we all know by now, Mueller will be testifying in July.

Another psychic I've been following for a while has been predicting since early this year that the first downfall of 45 would be in July of this year with a resignation coming in October of this year.

I know timelines can change but I've always had a gut feeling of him resigning for a long time. It may seem unlike him due to his ego but past behavior is usually a great predictor of future behavior and 45 has a history of abandoning "business projects" that become too much for him to handle.

The only problem is everyone else is left holding the bag.

Wasn't Haley the one Wolff wrote was having the affair with Twitler?

People are starting to voice their opinions. I love that Jimmy Carter said that Mango is an illegitimate president.  He notes that you can't yet quantify how much their interference tipped the scales, but he's certain that eventually they will have those figures.

And to top it off, Joe Kennedy has also come out publicly and said it's time to start impeachment inquiries/proceedings.

While the fight is not over, Mango lost another round legally over his wall. A judge has changed a temporary restraining order, prohibiting Mango from diverting military funds for his wall, to a permanent ban.

Like Lawrence noted, the downhill slide has begun, and it will continue. I know several psychics have said they don't see him being impeached. That doesn't preclude him being out of office. He could easily quit or make a deal to leave. He has a history of quitting. Look at his bankruptcies. He claimed he did so because doing so was a benefit to him-he was a 'winner' in each of those situations. The reality was, he was inept and lost, but can't face such realities. Look at how he claims to always be the victim-he'll do so again, whether it is to claim he has a health issue that prevents him from going on, or whether he uses some other excuse. His 'reality' will be different from what gets recorded in the history books.

Remember, that in less than three weeks Mueller testifies. Most republicans have not read the report. Volume I of that report gets into the Russian interference in our elections (which is most likely what Jimmy Carter was using as a foundation for his opinion), and Volume II gets into the obstruction/ collusion. When he testifies, the spin job done by Barr, DOJ, and WH will come undone. You'll find more politicians and citizens waking up to the facts. The tides will shift. Not everyone will get on board, but even Nixon held on to 30% of his base after resigning.

Independence day is coming for us all!

I am trying not to put to much hope into the Mueller testimony.  Just based on how disappointed I was before.  My instinct tellsme the Moron is or has committed treason by giving Putin access to our cyber systems as well as military secrets.  I believe that military intelligence knows this and that is how he will be removed.  I don't believe he will be impeached but that he will be forced out.  I also believe at least one of his spawn will be imprisioned possibly Kushner for treason. Ah what a glorious day that would be!

I rarely get an opportunity to have a discussion about Jimmy Carter, so this is a good day. He is the most decent person who's occupied the white house in my lifetime, and it pains me that he never gets credit for the good things he did. In any event, when I saw him make that comment yesterday, the words "security clearance" popped into my head. All former presidents have it, unless it's revoked, which I doubt it has been. Jimmy knows something, he didn't just speak off the cuff. I hope he'll speak some more.

Glad to hear that Joe Kennedy came out on impeachment.  He is my rep.  I have called his office six times including twice this past week, begging, asking, explaining, demanding that he speak up about impeachment. Every time, I get a different aid on the phone and they always listen and respond intelligently and respectfully.  His people are beautiful, mostly young, light workers.Feeling blessed have him as my rep, and Elizabeth Warren as my Senator.

Yogagirl, I know how you feel when you say you dare not hope. I am grateful you are here on this forum with your honest, fiery feelings, intelligence, your compassion and your hopes and fears.  You radiate light down there in Kentucky.  I look forward to the day when Gobble, Gobble is  replaced with a person of truth, for all our sakes and for yours.

I know he is going down in time, as well as his enablers and family.  I see the history books already written on this dark era, like McCarthyism.  But timing is in spirit's hands.  I believe the will of the people is with the progressives, that if we have one vote-one person then there will be a landslide for the blues in the next election.  I got mixed visions when I meditated on November 2020, but those may be from the energies swirling around that have not yet sorted themselves clearly enough for us to see.

Lynn, totally agree about Jimmy Carter. A man of light. He put solar panels on the White House when scientists first came out with the knowledge that greenhouse gasses were warming the planet.

Cindy and Lynn, I am also happy that Carter has spoken out.  I agree that he is truly a decent man, and as President never received the credit he deserved.  And he continues to make remarkable contributions.

@yogagirl,  I'm not putting too much hope in the Mueller testimony either, but I do think it will help, even if all he does is read directly from the report.  I think it's really up to Congress to ask Mueller the right questions, so the general public can get a crystal clear picture of what really happened.

Yogagirl, on an unrelated matter: didn't you once speak of being familiar with Kentucky politics?  If so, I've heard that Democratic Attorney General Andy Beshear has a strong chance of winning the governorship, ousting incumbent governor, Republican Matt Bevin.  Do you think that's true?  That would be wonderful.

I wonder what Jimmy Carter knows that the rest of us don't. It's an interesting thought. I'm glad my rep is Ayanna Pressley, I don't have to nag her about much, she already does the right things mostly.

Gilead would become a reality under Pence, and that is terrifying.

Well, Rolling Stone Magazine is calling it like they see it.

Their current headline:  Trump, Dumb as Always, Thinks Busing is About Transportation

"It's certainly a primary method of getting people to schools" the president said.

Oh My Freaking Goodness!!!

And then there is his response about Putin's opinion on Western style liberalism.  NO Trump, Putin was not talking about Los Angeles or S.F.

I've come to the conclusion that Mueller testifying will be good, not so much because it will lead to impeachment proceedings (it won't), but because it will help shed light on just how shady the GOP has become, and will help discredit many of the current members of the Senate.

And if impeachment does occur, the Senate will refuse to convict or even to hold a trial as they're supposed to. This may work in the Dems favor also, as people will recognize that no one is doing their jobs at all in the Senate.

deetoo, I live in Kentucky and I hope Andy is elected Governor.  The idiot we have now is Mango Moron light.  He played a Rand Paul and moved here from another state where he wouldn't have had a chance to be elected.  Kentucky is a  very backward state when it comes to politics.  We elected the turtle afterall.    The first thing Bevins, the current gov., did was piss off the teachers union then fire the entire board of directors of the University of Louisville,  He didnot make a lot of friends.  He is pro=charter school which is stupid when nearly three quarters of Ky folks can't afford public school.  He shut down the Medicaid expansion and now the rural areas of the state have NO healthcare at all.  The hospitals and clinics in these areas are now manned by volunteer  on limited time.  Yet those people will vote Republican because Mitch will tell them too!  It's very, very sad.  As for Andy his dad was governor and of course the Rep have already started negative ads for him.  We are trying everything we can to get him elected.

OK here comes the rant for the day.  I am SICK and tired of having a buffon for a president.  He and the little princess are an embarassment to this country as well as the world!  He doesn't know what the other world leaders are even talking about.  Then he puts his daughter out there to talk about empowering women.  Give me a break!  He is so arrogant that he thnks these dictators are his buddies and that they consider him a worthy advocate.  They are playing him like a fiddle!  He has gone over the edge.  I refuse to watch any 4th of July celebrtions because he has ruined the country that our fore fathers founded.  One of these days his alt-right extemeist buddies are going to cause real harm to others (well more than they have already) and he won't be able to excuse it away.  One of the debators the other nite, I forgot which one, said it, HE HAS NO REGARD FOR THE LAW!

What does everyone think about Trump visiting North Korea?  I live in New Zealand and the international media is raving about how fantastic Trump is for going into North Korea.  Trump seems to be getting more popular which I find terribly disappointing and frustrating.  From a foreigner point of view it is hard to see how he will lose the election.

Everything that I have read in the US and UK press reported generally that the visit was a first and all of them also reported the criticism that he was receiving for making the visit in the first place. I was briefly watching CNN morning news today and they mentioned that there were people in his own party that are not happy about the visit and the position that it places the US in. I had a brief look in the German press and I am sure that they reported about it yesterday, but today they are only talking about Trump trying to pressure them into buying liquid natural gas from them (instead of the Russians) and why that would be a bad idea. I read the article about the pope praising his attempt at unity and peace but note that the article also mentions that the Pope has been critical of him in the past. He is probably trying positive reinforcement since he considers him not insulting someone and blatantly stirring up trouble for once a good thing. That is a low bar, but that is where we currently find ourselves.

As for my own opinion, I think he did this to try to prove to his base that he did something useful and for the photo opportunity. Like you, Here Right Now, I am on the outside looking in. I am American but don’t live in the US. In the long run, he has probably damaged the US position in the world by being friendly with a savage dictator and compromising on the US/international position that they should not be a nuclear power.

Maybe someone who lives there can tell us what the folks on the street are saying.
