It is getting hard to keep up isn't it?

"The State Department’s inspector general is expected to give an "urgent" briefing to staffers from several House and Senate committees on Wednesday afternoon about documents obtained from the department’s Office of the Legal Adviser related to the State Department and Ukraine, sources familiar with the planned briefing told ABC News.

Details of the briefing, requested by Steve Linick, the inspector general at State, remain unknown. Linick is expected to meet with congressional staff in a secure location on Capitol Hill."

@Polarberry - give the link to that article when you have it.

@Suspira44 - Congress can hold someone in contempt IF they exhibit the contempt when in front of either congressional body or its committees. They can technically jail and fine them. Enforcing the subpoenas is more difficult, it's uncharted territory, as even in Watergate, witnesses showed up, answered questions and weren't prosecuted unless their own crimes were egregious and they were less than honest. I don't know what they'll do if witnesses flee or just don't show up. I imagine they could refer it to a federal court, and get an arrest warrant issued, but again, it's never happened before, so who knows.

The rats on the Titanic are seeing the iceberg. Who knows how many will jump ship before it goes down.

This is troubling beyond words: https://www.nytimes.com/2019/10/01/us/politics/trump-border-wars.html

It seems that T was instructing his people to close the border and when he couldn’t get that, he told them to shoot people in the legs trying to come over and thought of other ways to kill and maim people trying to cross. You will recognize all of the names that come up in this article. It is the usual suspects of bad actors, full of illegal suggestions and it makes my stomach turn.

@jeanne-mayell

i actually believe Trump does not do drugs or drink alcohol at all.  when he speaks, he sounds like he is snorting and by mispronouncing his words and incomplete sentences.  he is nervous, scared, and hyperventilating and that's enough.

I've read the tarot for over 40 years, and I never thought of the 7 of cups to be about drinking or drugs.  with the 7 cups floating over the questioners head are as follows:

Too many ideas or suggestions from others are not realistic or grounded.  for example, Trump has a lot of bad actors giving him advice on the border wall, impeachment, foreign affairs, etc.

even without the bad actors, Trump himself has terrible ideas or often suggests things are happening with his enemies are coming from bad news sources.  for example, the infamous Q-Anon conspiracy theories are formerly the Tea Party groups.

dilated pupils does not suggest drugs, although it's a start, but not conclusive.  eyes dilate for many different reasons.  being in the dark or not enough light.  also, fear or being scared do create dilated pupils.

@baba, anything on Pence?  I know that he's tied up with this too.

@deetoo

I threw a card today for Pence and got Nine of Cups. At first glance, it would seem like his dream may come true, but in this case when it comes down to it, it may be more of a careful what you wish for scenario.

@baba,

Re Pence -- what you've stated seems to fall in line with what Bluebelle predicted on 9/30:

Pence hangs on for a while.  McConnell maneuvers the impeachment process so Pence can step into the Presidency, but Pence is tainted by Trump’s crimes and faces his own investigation by Congress.  McConnell does what he can to keep Pelosi out of the White House by having Pence appoint a VP quickly.

MayberryStars, Your post was responding to a post of mine, but I can't find a post in which I said Trump drinks or does drugs or that his eyes are dilated and thus that means he's doing drugs.  Perhaps an old post or article somewhere?

Trump is famously a non drinker. He is known however to be a junk food junkie which includes a lot of sugar in those MacDonald soft drinks. If taken in excess, sugar is a stimulant that gets you high.  Different people have speculated that his sniffing means he does cocaine.  It would fit with the sugar. But it's unsubstantiated and really doesn't change that I do see him as sick from various addictions and excesses.

As for the meaning of the Seven of Cups card, we are reading different decks. I am reading Thoth. I also don't subscribe to leaning on set meanings for cards. People read differently and that is fine!

I saw this morning that Sara Sanders has emerged from her cave and is defending T., stating that he should be "celebrated, not impeached" for discovering Biden's corruption.  Meanwhile, Spicey is surprisingly still strutting his stuff on Dancing with the Stars, this time in the classic, white John Travolta costume, shaking his booty to the Bee Gees' tune, "Night Fever."  I wonder if either of them will be called to testify before Congress?  Sarah in particular, since she was really in the thick of it.  She knows a LOT.

I also heard PBS Journalist Yamiche Léone Alcindor speaking about Rudy's unrestrained antics -- here, there and everywhere -- and referred to him as a "free range chicken."   I can't get that image out of my head.

Does anyone see who is the VP that Pence might appoint?  I could see Paul Ryan being a choice of theirs... but I'm hoping that it doesn't happen this way and Nancy is appointed.

Had a very disturbing dream last night regarding T.

In it, I was reading a future newspaper story about him with Putin and how horribly T has betrayed this nation. Far beyond anything we have imagined. It made me feel sick reading it. I immediately woke up after.

It felt real and tells me that this is what will eventually learn. Feels sooner than later.

T's current bizarre rants are like any other illness. It gets much worse before it gets better. There is always upset and a fever before it breaks and then it's over. That's the good news. It's ending.

@triciact,

I'd love it if Nancy were appointed, but I'm not feeling it, at least for now.  Everything right now feels very confusing to me ... in flux.  Like anything could happen.  And I think someone here recently mentioned that Mitch will go out of his way to not allow Nancy to take the Presidential reins.  If that situation arises, hopefully he won't succeed.

I do sense Nikki Haley, waiting in the wings.  Can't get a take on whether that's a VP position, or she is just biding her time.

I agree about Nikki Haley too. Still hoping for the best since I think McConnell is going to be in deep dodo along with his wife too :)

@triciact, Agreed about Mitch and his wife.

@lawrence, wow -- quite disturbing.  Do you remember any of what you read, or just the feelings behind that?  I've only had a few dreams that have felt that real, one involving 9/11.  I like your analogy to having a major illness, and how things get worse before they get better.  Like the body needs to detoxify before it can totally heal.  I felt hope and a strong sense of relief when you said that.  Thanks.

@deetoo

In the dream, I remember it was about truly dirty dealings T has had with Putin which totally betrays our country.  I felt completely shocked and devastated in the dream. It felt like he is working for Russia's interests, not Americas.

I wanted to tell everyone that for the past 3 months I've had pain in my back and neck and a muscle around my left side that goes down my arm. I've had this pain whenever I'm under a lot of stress at work but it usually got better within a few days. It stayed with me constantly for 3 months and I've gone to physical therapy, my Dr., my chiropractor and massage therapy. As soon as this whole thing with the whistle blower came out and it looked like The Orange Traitorous nightmare was finally going to be held accountable the pain went away!

Coincidence? I think not. There's another thread on this site about empathics and how we feel things physically when picking up others energies.

Lawrence: I'm sorry you had such a disturbing dream. Ironically, I think last night was the first night in a week I slept through the night!  I believe that all this rotten stuff that is going to come out may be that - rotten, however I am feeling the "light at the end of the tunnel" and All this must be exposed now.

I'm still feeling Oct 7 and Nov 7th as significant dates - not sure why.

PS: I tend to read this site instead of watching too much of the news, but I read online papers too. I for one am stocking up on some bubbly and popcorn.

Back in the day in NYC it was a well known thing that Orange Piehole was a coke head. He sniffs because of damage done from repeated exposure, i.e., snorting. I agree that he does not drink alcohol and is addicted to junk food. I think he doesn't do coke much lately, but I'm fairly certain what he is abusing right now is Adderall.

@Lawrence When I read the highly redacted transcript of his meeting with the Ukraine president, a transcript Trump felt was okay to release, I was struck at how menacing his tone was. He sounded like mafia.

Then this morning, the NY Times released interviews they had with dozens of homeland security and immigration officials reporting how last March Trump tried to get them to stop immigration at any cost. Nearly every measure he wanted to take was illegal and some included atrocities, shooting the legs of immigrants trying to get into the country,  or building a moat and filing it with alligators and snakes. Then he said we should just shut the border completely, never mind that it would disrupt school buses and $200 billion of exports we send to Mexico annually. What an utterly depraved moron. After hearing how he simply cannot do those things, he fired his Homeland Security director and a group of staffers.

Thanks @Jeanne-mayrell. So frightening he's in the WH. T now knows he's cornered and finished. A fish out of water flops around before it dies. This is where we are.

Jeanne: I read that report about the homeland security - it was so repulsive what he wanted them to do. This is just another example of things that are going to come out at the Orange Nightmare like multiple arrows on a dart board in much of what we know & hope takes him down.

I watch Bill Maher every week he is on and then we watch Overtime. I remember watching Gloria Steinem on the Overtime episode from Feb. 5, 2016 where she says "Trump is not a successful businessman, he is a successful con artist....he just leases his name on buildings...". She tried to warn folks about him then. She knew him and people in NY who knew him.  (side note: Gloria Steinem was 81 on that episode, she sounded and looked so young for her age, always admired her)
